I love little neighborhood Italian spots. They have a good vibe and good food. My only disappointment is that after inviting a bunch of friends to join us there, our(new) waitress wreaked of cigarettes as she was delivering the food. Hygiene is a must! I hope they get this right next time.

Great Food, great service. Must try the eggplant!!! Best family friendly restaurant. We pass by this little town with my family and friends. Big party of 11 including 6 kids from age 2 to 10 is always challenging to find a kids friendly nice restaurant. Yes, I said a NICERESTAURANT which means Good Food + Good Service with Big Five stars bonus, Kids Friendly!!!

My husband discovered this little gem while driving through Fairfax. Our family of four ordered different dishes, each one amazing. We even enjoyed our waiter, Paul, who was spot on with advice and quick to make sure every detail was expertly attended to. Fettuccini Alfredo was just as yummy as it was in Little Italy in Boston.

The food is great, the service too. You don´t even notice the super kitschy décor and the forever christmas at Fradelizio´s cause the food is so good. ;)

The steaks were delicious. Tender, flavorful, cooked perfectly. My pasta dish was just ok. I got the seafood pasta with a white sauce and it wasn’t bad, but I would not order it again. I like the lighting and the local vibes.

So I used to be a big fan of this restaurant and had some great meals there but recently they have made many changes to their menu one of which is removing the marinated calamari and Caesar salad option which has really been disappointing to many of my friends and myself I have spent years going to this restaurant specifically for this — I’m so sorry to see that it’s been removed and without much of an explanation They also are an Italian restaurant that doesn’t have pizza on their menu I’d recommend trying it out and I would ask that you lobby for the marinated calamari salad and let’s bring it back The waitstaff really wasn’t able to give me a reason why it was taken off menu!

Fradelizio’s is my favorite restaurant in Marin County. I love the polenta crêpe appetizer, Caesar salad and their house red wine, served in a carafe. The service is prompt and friendly, and the room is cheerful and comfy, like your aunt’s living room in her brownstone back East. I bring my family and friends there whenever we’re in the mood for good food and delicious wine in a relaxing setting. Thank you, Fradelizio’s, for being our favorite local place!

Stumbled upon this little Italian restaurant on our way back from Mt Tam and Stinson beach. I had the spaghetti and meatballs I consider myself a conniossuer when it comes to spaghetti and meatballs they were outstanding! Perfect portion size.

Stumbled upon this gem when we passed through Fairfax mid-road trip, and I’m already trying to come up with reasons to go back even though it’s a 90-minute drive away from home. The food itself is astounding! As a long-standing fan of Italian food who has long patronized the likes of Boston’s North End, I was surprised to find that Fradelizio’s did not disappoint. The pasta carbonara, for example, came out piping hot with generously sprinkled and bite-sized bacon bits that the chef had spiced to add an extra kick to your carbonara, and the portion was substantive enough such that I ended up very happily making two meals out of it. The garlic bread was similarly freshly baked with just the right amount of butter – not overly greasy as garlic bread can sometimes be. The only reason I give four vs. five stars is the service. At least during our visit, only one or two wait staff were available while the entire restaurant was full, and perhaps in part due to this pressure, our waitress seemed rather harried. Her tone was curt, and she did not check in on how we were doing or refill our water when it needed refilling – even when she was refilling water for a neighboring table. When she brought parmesan cheese to our table and I had to move another dish aside, she gestured impatiently as if I was slowing her down, and altogether our interaction left a sour taste in my mouth. Hopefully, during your visit, you’ll find another server, or at least the aforementioned waitress will feel less harried!

Great restaurant, great food… some of the BESTITALIANFOODINTHEENTIREBAYAREA. So sad that they hired… Marta– worst waitress EVER!!! You are getting paid to do a job. Do it. Or quit. This restaurant deserves so much more than what you have to offer. To the CHEFS — you get all 5 stars!!! Who hired this lazy, waste of space? Sat for 13 minutes without her even saying a word(restaurant was empty)…she preferred to check her phone and walk around the place instead of doing her job. She belongs in a government job somewhere… not working at a nice restaurant. She is the worst waitress I’ve ever encountered. Marta– if you don’t want to work, find a pole, or get on welfare to pay your bills… don’t rely on Fairfax locals to keep you afloat. Total disgrace to waitresses everywhere.

Four of us showed up for our Sat. dinner reservation and were seated promptly by the owner. Nice atmosphere, this place is hopping, Bill the manager served us and he was wonderful: very efficient and friendly. We ordered the lasagna, crab cannelloni, chicken dijon and veal saltimbocca. All four plates went back to the kitchen completely cleaned out… Except for mine, there was a bit of parsley that Bill offered to box for me to enjoy later. Funny guy! We had a wonderful evening and we’ll come back there again.

Italian restaurants in Marin County are pretty impressive, did you know? Fradelizio’s in Fairfax feels like a well-loved small town restaurant, but the food can compete with the best Italian food in the city. The staff will remind you of your favorite aunt or uncle too. Fresh bread from San Rafael’s Bordenave’s Bakery make their way to every table and their house salads include seasonal ingredients like heirloom tomatoes. The salmon piccata and veal saltimbocca are each some of the best Italian dishes I’ve had. Gnocchi and risotto are individually fulfilling as well. Make sure to get lots of wine — they have a good selection and offer carafes for your table. If you ever feel like getting veal saltimbocca for under $ 20, drive up to Marin to go to Fradelizio’s.

I have to admit I never go to Fairfax. It’s enough off the beaten track for me not having a car that I’m more likely to go to San Rafael Mill Valley — places that are easily accessible by bus from San Francisco. However on our way back from a relaxing minivacation up north, we decided to stop in Fairfax for dinner. I’d recently read an article about all the great restaurants, from casual home style to upscale — that were now open in Fairfax so I went to my trusty trustee Unilocal app. when I saw the listing for Fradelizio’s, I wondered, «could this be? Could this be the homestyle Italian restaurant using organic, fresh, sourced ingredients I need in my life?» Well yes it is! I called to reserve a table for two for an hour later and Bill saw to it that we had just the table I would have chosen. Lovely people, great service, HOMEMADE Gnocchi, freshly steamed vegies, meat sauce like my grandma’s and the best spumoni I have ever had. All out the door with wine and shared dessert for $ 50. I’ll be back!

This sweet family run restaurant serves delicious, authentic Italian food.(It’s not surprising that it’s a locals favorite.) The menu has something for everyone. The food is classic, simple, un-fussy, Italian like my Italian friends grandma used to make. The«barrel wine» is REALLY good! This food is obviously made with high quality ingredients and old school recipes. Yes, you made need a pinch of salt and pepper on some dishes but, personally I prefer it that way — everyone has a different pallet and too much salt or spice can easily overpower anything. My table was delighted with every dish; the eggplant and calamari appetizers were fantastic. The chicken piccata, beef ravioli, rosemary chicken and seafood pasta were perfect. The desserts were all good but, I think the fresh picked blackberry dish and the classic tiramisu were our favorites. We’ve eaten here a few times and our experiences have been great. Our waitress this time, I think her name was Sachary, was really on the ball and nice. We all loved the new GM Bill who is friendly and informative. His menu recommendations were spot on.

Meh. So anytime you read a handful of reviews and people are raving about the bread and butter, you should probably raise an eyebrow. The bread and butter WERE good, but honestly, who cares? Everything else is marginal. After reading the little blurb on the table about their locally sourced wild boar I went ahead and ordered the wild boar ravioli with browned butter and sage(sounds good right?) but unfortunately was underwhelmed. The ravioli were limp and sad, and the whole dish was just kinda greasy and one dimensional. Side of chard was more of the same, lacking any kind of flavor. Generally if something is on the specials menu, it means they’re good at making it… Notsomuch. All in all the food is, as I like to say, extremely ok. Affogato was good though. Props.

The gnocchi is outstanding, as is the stuffed pork chop, butternut squash ravioli, eggplant parm, boar ravioli and my oh my the cioppino. I told the owner the last dish needs to come with a spoon as you won’t want to leave a drop. Make a reservation, if not you may be one of the numerous people leaving sad faced. One little complaint — were here last Saturday and waited over an hour for our entrees. Apparently another server served our orders to another party. Server kept telling us our food was coming, then our friends were served and were half finished before our entrees were delivered. I wish we’d been told what happened(I would have understood) and not served our friends their food as we just sat there. They did refill our wine, which was very nice. And, yes, we’ll be back.

This place is a home cooked Italian food with a mix of California local cuisine. I love the house salad, it is clean and fresh and mixes the right amount of oil tart and veggies to make it the perfect start. I think their bread is the absolute best of any Italian restaurant in Marin. The dishes I enjoy the most are veal piccatta and linguini with clams, both are sturdy classics and they produce filling portions but leave enough room for dessert. I do think the dessert menu could use some out sourcing, the only thing I have ever had that was remarkable was a cabernet granita which I still long for but again something made in the back from scratch. If you are a wine lover they do a barrel wine blend and I have never drank anything that made me feel more like Bacchus was present in this intoxicant. Come here for a great family feel and relaxed atmosphere, fair prices, and barrel wine. Specials like wild salmon and boar can also be an experience you would not expect.
