Excellent pizza– friendly staff, quick service– this is the place for Italian food in Marin. I read some of these first world problem types leaving bad reviews, like Stacey C., who have nothing better to do but write stupid, negative, drunk, stay at home mom reviews– whatever– try it yourself-don’t listen to the sass of an idiot who moans when they are«not greeted» immediately– barf– get a life twits– in the meantime, check out the za

I’ve had this place deliver pizza to me twice now and it was excellent on both occasions. Great crust, just thick and chewy enough without being too thick, tomatoey and cheesey — it was just awesome

Tried it one last time. The waitstaff was competent but overwhelmed. The breadsticks were very good, Bacon topping was done well and the ranch dressing is incredible. The beer is mostly local and exceptional, but one comes to a Pizza place for the pie. The crust is the key to any pie and for YEARS this place has made a chewy, I mean incisor gritting base that just can’t be commended. Their toppings are top notch, but if I have to chew through a crust that tastes like a box from Fed Ex Im not coming back. Having an old Ross Valley name does not except one from bad taste. This is coming from another family who have been here for many generations and have a last name ending with the letter«i» too. If that means anything. I want nothing more than for those of us left to prosper, I want more people to sit in the redwoods in front of your family heritage at Deer Park Villa. But to gain visitors takes effort and empathy. Sitting on the laurels of bindle filled walls behind urinals will get you status quo at best. Yes I watched that. Step up, Family name is paramount.

In 1998 when I bought my home in San Anselmo, I got pizza from Ghiringhellis and it was memorable and good. Periodically I’ve returned, but just today, I got a small pizza and it was even better. Perfectly cooked, warm and delicious. Thank you Vinnie for the continued excellent pizza!

I’ve only been here a handful of times but it’s everytime I’ve been out to Fairfax. Although I don’t come very often, it’s definitely made an impression on me as being a bomb pizza place. it could possibly be my favorite pizza place crust-wise. seriously, their crust is Grade A. so perfect. and it’s not too expensive. their sizes are a little on the smaller size for the price but I’d say it’s worth it. I highly recommend this place and will always continue to come here for pizza when I’m in the area!

Asked for no cheese pizza. So I got a cheese pizza. Special orders aren’t their thing.

Was inspired to try this place out following the #steelwoolgate controversy that blew up in the Nextdoor app. I recently moved to San Anselmo from Brooklyn(NYC born and raised). I love pizza in all its forms, from fancy hipster BK artisanal pizza to cheap slices at Ray’s or Famiglias or wherever. A lot of people seem to love this spot but I did not enjoy it. I cannot support putting tomatoes AND marinara on a margherita pizza. Plus there wasn’t nearly enough mozz. My wife liked it a lot, but she grew up in Napa and imo has mediocre taste in pizza anyways ;)

Great pizza and salads, very clean and attentive, friendly service. Nice casual place for a glass of wine or a beer — small but quality options available. They will also go out of their way to change your order or to fix an occasional mistake — it is clear that they care about their quality(of service and food). I have eaten here 20+ times and highly recommend it.

Last night, my husband & I ordered a salad & pizza to go. As I was eating the salad at home, I found a piece of dirty steel wool! My husband went to return the salad and the female manager & owner Vinny both said«It is not ours. We don’t use that.» They wanted to give us credit for the salad & we declined(Don’t want a repeat incident!) so the returned our money for the salad. I called Ghiringelli’s once my husband returned home and he let me know that they said it’s not theirs. They were very dismissive of it which irritated me… I have been coming here for years! I let Vinny know I would inform everyone I know about the lack of sanitation & I was told by Vinny ‘Go ahead!’ He also so told me we were no longer welcome there & they were blocking our number. Oh, hurt me. Not! as we will NEVEREVER eat from there again. I still gag when I think of all the contaminates. So disgusting!

Food fit for the masses and not the classes! Pizza is similar to those frozen and cooked at home. Caesar salad isn’t Skip this and head to Pizzalina at Red Hill!

I’m from New York and currently live in CT. So having the worlds best pizza around me I went here not expecting much. But I was pleasantly surprised! I got a pizza with roasted leeks and roasted wild mushrooms. Shockingly good quality pizza for being on the left coast. Definitely not the best ever. But really really good! My husband got a meatball sandwich that came on delightfully crusty bread. I would absolutely go again if I’m in the area! And will definitely suggest it to any traveling friends!

$ 25 for overcooked pizza. Pizza was burnt and hard as a rock. It was like eating cardboard. The crust was so hard that you couldn’t even eat it. This is the second time I ordered takeaway and both times it was burnt. I’ve had it at friend’s homes too and half the time it’s overcooked. They are nice people here, but I can’t fathom paying $ 25 for a pizza that is this awful again. When Patxis offers takeaway, it will be worth a longer drive, and I will be ordering from them.

Best spaghetti with meatballs in meat sauce ever. I don’t know what’s in it(secret recipe???) but once I start eating it, I can’t stop.

We did it, we returned four years later at the beckoning of a coupon in our welcome basket when we bought our house. The service was slow, and they do less than any other restaurant in town for kids. They don’t even have a random crayon lying around and completely ignored my order for a juice that I put in the moment we arrived to avoid a melt-down. Kinda sub-par on the pizza joint service front. The clientele were an odd assortment of the rednecks of Fairfax all watching sports on big TVs. The pizza was very different from years before. The crust was thinner, much tastier and the array of toppings and featured pizzas from the«Artisan» part of the menu were pretty up-to-par with current gourmet pizza trends. I would consider ordering take-out again because the pizza has improved immensely but I don’t think I’d choose to sit in here for another dinner. It’s just not a comfortable vibe.

Great pizza, lots of choices, solid beers on tap… What else is there? The ambience is classic pizza parlor too.
