Living in the bigger city where fresh produce and a bevy of restaurants to choose from — after moving to Fairfield I thought I’d really have to give that up but when in need of quick sushi fix — this place hits the spot. They have an all you can menu for $ 20ish which I haven’t tried yet, but usually I order rolls and poke salad or lunch combinations and it’s satisfying and tasty. The pricing is moderate and fish is fresh. BTW!!! That poke salad — OMG. Like craving for days. It’s delicious and refreshing and hits that sashimi craving right in the sucker. Pass on the fried calamari — more like wide strips of rubber, but live and learn and you can’t always win them all, but overall that was the only paus. It’s more like 4.5 stars because of this honestly. But I’m being bias maybe… because I like crispy tentacles on my calamari usually… eat at your discretion! Parking is great and easy to find — the service is good and friendly and we are regulars. Yum.

This place is terrible. I went here for the first time with my sister and brother in law. The older lady there advised me that the baked roll would have 80% cooked salmon(like I’ve had at multiple other places). The salmon was raw the roll was not browned at all and when we spoke to the older server about this she rolled her eyes and looked at all of us like we were stealing money. Mind you we did not eat the roll at all. Then proceeded to tell us that sushi is meant to be raw. Mind you she said the salmon is 80% cooked. She then advised we shouldn’t order a baked roll again because its supposed to be raw. Their deal is 30% off sushi at a certain hour, she rigged the bill so that the other 3 rolls we ordered, ate and paid for would make up the cost of that roll. I would not recommend this place ATALL. I am not a fan of doing over the top negative reviews and this is my first one, but the way were were treated about this one issue was so disrespectful and the false information given on the baked rolls is enough to make me want to let other people know. Find somewhere else to go. I was already skeptical because I dont usually go to places under 4 star reviews, and this confirmed why.

This place is honestly not even that good but the AYCE is cheap & it’s a mile from my house. The AYCE menu isn’t even impressive. The complimentary miso soup was so plain, & the tofu inside was hard. Not sure how that happened but I don’t think I really wanna know. The rolls are good I guess, they’re just really plain. I can’t even recommend one because I can’t remember any of them, that’s how boring they are. The waitresses are always nice though.

Very disappointed. Went with family and none of us had a decent meal. Seaweed was hard and chewy, no flavor in the rolls and fish was tough. Not great service or very accommodating with special requests. For the price not worth it.

13.99 for lunch all you can eat. Sushi tasted pretty good too, not the best I’ve had but great for the lunch special all you can eat price. Very fast service as well. I ordered two rolls, ate, paid and left half an hour from when I walked in.

I hope there is zero star. This place is not too far from my place so I decide to give it a try. I walked in there to grab Togo. It was my first time and it will be my last time. I was waiting for the cashier(old man) to finish with the customer in front of me. Once he finish with the guy, I still waiting on line. He was doing something with computer. He asked me if I want to order Togo. I said Yes. He said there is the menu, he pointed to the menu. He asked if I want to big menu. I also said yes. He just pointed to the big menu right beside the cashier’s counter. He just wanted me to grab it. The whole time he was looking at the computer. He did not pay attention to me at all. What a worst customer service I ever seen. I was hungry and craving sushi but I rather to walk out without give it a try because the customer service is the worst.

Came here for all you can eat sushi and it’s ok. We’ve had better at Paradise Sushi in Petaluma. Service was a bit slow and the waitress was not very helpful in describing the sushi dishes. For $ 21.95. We certainly packed a lot of sushi that was not very good but ok. Mostly Too much rice on them. Compared to Paradise Sushi there’s no comparison.

The server was rude took her time to bring my tea after requesting for it 15 minutes after ordering my meal. The WORSTPART when i got my avocado roll i found two hairs on it! Soo disgusting never again! If your around the area and want bomb sushi. DONT I REPEATDONTCOMEHERE!

Food is okey the only reason we went there is not far from our place and I saw there menu here @ Unilocal they have Uni and that nigiri sushi is very rare. I called before going there to asked if they do All you can eat and how much it is. the front lady told me Yes they do all you can eat and the dinner price is $ 21.95. We went there and I told the lady I called earlier for all you can eat sushi she said okey. So I order Uni first and we get 3 appetizer and the Chinese sushi chef mumbling that’s to much food and they are talking in their language but one sushi chef not Chinese is ver friendly and giving me info how they get that uni and we’re they got it. the Chinese chef put too much rice in our sushi that’s why we got full fast and I was thinking to order one more nigiri he asked me «Are you that hungry?. So I just response we’re good I just ordered one more roll for to go they I asked my receipt guess what THEYCHARGESUS each item we ordered I spend almost $ 90. for the 2 of us then I said to the lady we’re doing all you can eat she said Uni is not inc. in the all you can eat. I said no one told me it’s not inc. w/all you can eat! but instead of me continuing my argument I just said okey! I told myself I’m not going back here anymore and I won’t recommend it to my friends and families. next time I’ll go to Hisui 2 I rather drive extra miles to get deserve on what I pay for.

Went here again, but this time for dinner with my family. I ordered the Albacore Tataki — It was delightful; however the portions were very small compared to this other place I go to in Newark that serves something very similar. I do in fact love their ikura here though! They pack that nigiri with A LOT of fish eggs — I LOVE it! I’ll definitely be coming back here again for my favorite — ikura!

Eh. That’s all I have to say. My boyfriend and I came in for dinner since we were seeing a movie at Edwards and had time to spare and I really wanted sushi(which is an everyday problem I have). The waitress say is quickly and the place was about half way full. We ordered root beers and the waitress informed us that they had all you can eat. I’ve never had it before so I thought why not. My boyfriend ordered the bento and I started off with unagi nigiri they came out quickly with miso soup which was pretty tasty. Then came the first orders the bento was fine my boyfriend said he has had better. The unagi nigiri was cold and drenched in sticky overly sweet sauce that made it hard to stomach. Next go around I ordered the Sakura special and Travis rolls. The Sakura special was not very good in my opinion maybe it was an off day or something but again the sauce was really sweet and the spicy tuna had a weird taste like it was old by a few days and was starting to turn. Overall it wasn’t my favorite. The Travis roll as well just wasn’t very good. There was so much rice no wonder I got full fast. Like i said maybe they had an off day but I probably won’t come back and I don’t think for recommend this place either. If I’m in fairfield and want sushi I will absolutely go to Hinata.

The food is really good. But compared to other sushi spots, this place is a bit more pricey. $ 5 – 6.50 for 2 pcs of nigiri? Dinner bentos range from $ 15 – 17 for one or two items. Customer service is okay. I just don’t find this place any better than other spots. You could get same quality for better prices.

Food was decent, service was terrible. We waited super long to get seated, and after we got seated waited even longer to get waters. My sushi took so long and we were the only one in the restaurant? The only good thing was that it was 50% off.

So, I was here this past weekend and we had horrible service. We decided to give them another try. I have been in the restaurant 20 minutes and everyone that has come in after my party has been served their beverages and here we sit. The table behind us, they came in after us, has also had their order taken. They are not doing much better.

Went here for dinner and did the all you can eat. Ordered salmon skin hand roll which was not crispy, sauce was too tangy and too much rice. Ordered a Tako, rainbow roll(which had their sauce on it too which I never saw sauce on a rainbow roll before) and a smoked salmon nigiri. Didn’t taste fresh and sauce was overpowering. Pretty sad as that’s all I ordered for all you can eat. What’s worst is that if I had ordered this a la cart, I would’ve paid a lot more! Never going back.

Had a craving for sushi on a Sunday. So decided to come here since Tokyo Sushi was closed. I ordered the miso soup. It was warm, not hot, but still satisfying. Ordered the gyoza for an appetizer. They came out nice, fresh and crispy on the outsidr, meaty on the inside. Perfect. Ordered the Amy roll, and the I-80 roll, since they were half off today. The rolls were.presented.nicr.on the plates. Just the right amount of rice, meat, and sauce. I’ve read other reviews of this place and was apprehensive on stopping, but I’m glad we did. My boyfriend ordered the Sakura #2 roll, and was pleased. The service was friendly and prompt. Half price on the tools today, spent $ 40 on four rolls, two soups, and appetizers! Not a bad deal! We will definitely be back!

Looks like a third of the crew from Hisui Steak house and Hisui 2. Same taste but still good. Nice place, clean, slightly pricey, but all you can eat. I’d give it a «bulk sushi» taste, but nothing like a sushi machine(yea I am talking to you Hawaii).

So. I’m in town for the holidays and this place just ain’t the same. What happened to the asparagus and steak app salad?! Why did they give me ranch dressing(a Crappy brand) with my deep fried soft shell crab app? Crab tastes like the freezer it’s been stored in. The agedashi tofu is soggy and not very appealing by the looks of it. Server looked at me crazy when I asked for a side of green onion. My mom ordered a dinner combo salmon teriyaki/shrimp tempura. The salmon fillet wasn’t even a 4oz portion! Totally not worth the 16.95 combo price. Not planning on returning or recommending this place.

The SoCal girl in me is still weirded out by the Chinese-owned sushi places up here. I would be okay with Chinese-owned, if the sushi was good… However, the sushi here is terrible. The rice was super gummy and somehow the spicy tuna was disgusting. The waitress was also going around and spraying air freshener while people were eating… I do not recommend this place at all.

Awesome. we’re greated as soon as we opened the door and seated right away. The guest service was awesome she was very friendly and super attentive. Our glasses never went empty and they were super fast with our order. Everything we ordered was fantastic. Safeway roll, dragon, the sakura special, and the rock and roll that one was my favorite. I seen this place before on Unilocal so today my boyfriend and I figured why not! And it was a great choice. Awrsome

My husband and I would come at least once a month for dinner. The all you can eat sushi menu has great choices and we were never disappointed by the quality and taste until this last time we watched the sushi chef walk outside for a cigarette break. While smoking, he picked up some garbage and took it over to the dumpster, finished his cigarette and walked right back behind the counter and continued making sushi. We looked at each other and both said«NEVERAGAIN». Politely paid our bill and walked out.

This is the worst sushi place we’ve ever eaten. The service is awful. I am a vegetarian, so I asked for only veggie/garden rolls. What I got was horrible. The first roll was almost all rice(with a little avocado and cucumber). I asked if they had any other vegetables. They have carrots. That’s it. The second order I asked for was a hand roll. I figured it would be better with less rice, but what I got was a cone of rice with a piece of avocado and another piece of cucumber. I asked the lady(server) if they had any other options. She brought me out a oil drenched piece of fried zucchini. Then I asked for a hand roll with zucchini and she said«I didn’t know you could eat raw zucchini.» I said«People eat raw fish! Why can’t you serve the zucchinis raw?» What I received was so hilarious(not really) I had to put it in a photo. It was zucchini, lettuce and carrots in a piece of seaweed — with, get this, no rice! WTF? Seriously, no rice at all. My husband loves sushi and he’ll try anything. We eat sushi wherever we go. We were traveling and I looked on Unilocal to see what sushi places in Fairfield got good reviews. Who would give this place a good review? My husband’s rolls barely had any fish, but tons and tons of rice. He said the fish tasted bad, and many pieces were dry. The portions are almost all rice. We ate here on a Sunday night at 6:00 p.m. There were two other couples in the place, so it’s not like they can use the excuse that they were busy. Oh, also, the blonde waitress was snotty. $ 21.00 for all you can eat rice is basically what this is. DON’T WASTEYOURTIMEORMONEYHERE. THEPHOTOSPOSTEDBYOTHERPEOPLEONHERECANNOTBEFROMTHESAMEPLACE

My favorite sushi place in Fairfield! Quality food, fast service, and reasonably priced all-you-can-eat specials. Although I love eating at Sakura Sushi, I have noticed that the fast service is fast to a fault. The staff is very friendly, but I often have the feeling that I’m being rushed out the door. When I had lunch here with a good friend of mine last month, our dining experience was extremely hurried. In spite of the rushed service, the atmosphere of the restaurant is quite relaxing. It’s casual enough for a quick lunch on the run, but upscale enough for date night. Everything is always clean and orderly, too. All in all, the rolls are fresh and delicious(I recommend the Sakura Special, the Rainbow Roll, and the Sake Nigiri) and you can’t beat the all-you-can-eat lunch special for $ 13.95. Sakura Sushi will continue to be my go-to sushi spot!

Came here for a lunch date with my BFF to catch up and we were both pleasantly surprised and pleased with Sakura! We did the AYCE Sushi deal, which is $ 14.95 on weekends(open at Noon on Saturdays) and $ 13.95 on weekdays between 11am-2:30 pm. They also supposedly have 50% off Specialty Sushi rolls between 3−7pm on weekdays. We were greeted with smiles and friendly, quick customer service. Seated immediately and served water and the complementary miso soup. Service here was awesome cuz our waitress constantly kept the sushi rolls coming just as we were finishing up and refilled our waters without us asking. Everything here was SO delicious! The Miso Soup was probably the Best I’ve ever had. When choosing from the AYCE Menu, you’re allowed to order 5 items at a time. The Menu is so diverse that you really can try just about anything. I love and prefer how they give you 4-Piece mini Sushi rolls instead of the Big platter sized ones cuz you don’t get full as fast and you’re able to try more items. I recommend the Sakura Special, Safeway Roll, Dragon Roll, and Gyoza. The Sushi was just enough to leave me happily satisfied, but not overwhelmingly full. I’ll definitely come back to taste the other Sushi rolls I didn’t get to. Thanks Sakura!

Delicious. The owner was here and made us all vegetarian dishes. So good. Totally reasonable considering Japanese, because so many are out of control pricey. Not Chinese food cheap but not making me limit myself to entrees only. Charming and close. If you live in Northwest Fairfield there’s finally a place that serves alcohol in a cool atmosphere without needing a can downtown with its seedier element. Could be cheaper but thankful it’s here.

I was a little apprehensive with all the Unilocal reviews(this place used to be Kazan Sushi) but since it was 50% off and super close to our house, we decided to try it out with a friend. We started off with 2 Sapporo &2 large sakes. The sake was horrible but the Sapporo was cold/good! We ordered the Jackson Roll x 2, Rachel Roll to start off. The rolls came out fairly fast and were actually really good and fresh! The servers have also stepped up their game(per the old Unilocal reviews) and were very attentive. Once we polished off the first three rolls, we decided to get a Sakura Special Roll, Sunshine Roll, & Lucy’s Roll. Again they were delicious! Super shocked(based off all the negative reviews). Overall, good service and good food(especially with 50% off)! We will be back!
