Amazing service, great location surprisingly great. Try the orange beef! We never order orange beef at Chinese restaurants and this one was off the hook.

Oh Sticky Rice Chinese Bistro and Bar, why did I not write a review about you yet? If you like nice upscale restaurants tucked inside an inconspicuous business building, then this is the place to be. I feel like I’m walking into one of those speakeasies back in the 1920s with a secret knocking code, but luckily, there’s no need for the police to bust us for eating here! Location: It’s right across the street from the Cordelia Safeway and Costco. It lies inside a plaza that neighbors along the Solano County Office of Education and the Fairfield-Cordelia Library. There’s plenty of parking spots to choose from within the private lot! You can also consider parallel parking along the library’s curb. Ambiance: This Chinese restaurant is too upscale for me to handle, but if you’re a fan of dining in fancy plates, I guess you might like this restaurant. I love that there’s outdoor and indoor seating plus the calm soothing jazz music playing in the background. The restaurant is also super clean and it would make a pretty good date on a Saturday evening. Food: Food is pretty good, but I’m not raving too much how awesome it is. I do have to say that I love their basil popcorn chicken! Not to mention I’m also a sucker for their Garlic Eggplant and Tofu lunch special. The food here is reasonably priced if you’re coming in during the lunch special times, but any time after that, I find it somewhat pricey for the quality that they deliver for their food. Nevertheless, the food here is pretty good, if you’re lucky you might catch some pretty good Happy Hour deals. Customer Service: It could be better. Although all our waiters, hostesses, bussers, etc. are dressed nicely in a white button down and black slacks, I wish they interacted more with the customers to make them feel more comfortable. Overall: This place ain’t so shabby if you want Chinese food with some class, but if you want real good authentic Chinese dishes, I suggest you look elsewhere.

Love how late this place is open in comparison to everything else in Fairfield. I got the Seared ahi dish and hubby got the Hong Kong crispy noodles. Both were excellent. The service was nice and the food came out really quickly however it was way too pricey. For less than what you get on a Seared ahi salad at BJ’s you get less and pay $ 20. It was way too overpriced for me. Good place to eat but make sure you look at the prices!

This review is solely based on the service I received on Tuesday 1÷26÷16. I work in the city so I do not get to frequent Sticky Rice as much as I use to. I was really craving their Sticky Fried rice so I placed a to go order on my way home. Upon my arrival I recognized two of my usual servers in the front of the restaurant. I am terrible with names but I wish I remembered their’s. They have both been extremely friendly, attentive, and talkative the past few years I have been a frequent customer at this restaurant. No matter how busy it is or whether they are my server or not, they have always taken the time to walk over, greet me, and see if my table has needed anything. During this brief visit to pick up my food, they welcomed me with nothing but warm smiles as they asked me how I had been and mentioned how much they have missed seeing me. It is pretty rare to find customer service like this and I appreciate how these ladies go out of their way to make you feel like you are more than just a customer. I will definitely make a stronger effort to frequent my favorite place more.

Location is very nice, the food are good but the servings are tiny and expensive but I guess because of the location that’s why it’s expensive. They have live music in a certain date and u need to check out from time to time. Never try the after hour and maybe it’s a good thing to try. The is good but too much oil.

We celebrated a family birthday party at Sticky Rice and really enjoyed the experience. Appetizers are excellent and priced around $ 10. We had the shrimp dumplings, vegetable pot stickers, chicken lettuce wraps, and the tuna tartare bites. Lunches are $ 10 and include brown or white rice, soup or salad, and your entrée. The shrimp dishes are all especially good and the chow mein is wonderful too. Sticky Rice has a full bar and makes terrific tall margaritas. Corkage for wine is $ 15. The service is really friendly and fast. It was raining on our visit, but when it’s nice out, the outdoor patio is the place to sit overlooking the little lake with the spouting waters.

Usually come here on family gatherings such as birthday parties. This place has great food to offer from appetizers, to soups, entrees, desserts and drinks. Food is made to order. This place has elegant atmosphere. Staff here is very attentive. Seating staff can be less chatty. They expect too fast when others come to pick up orders. They talk behind their back and such. Not a very good impression when you’re the next one to pick up orders. This place is good but seating staff by the door need to be more mature.

Pretty good food here at Sticky Rice. We came last night for a family outing and they seated us fairly quickly. A total of 7, we had a round table in the corner next to a large party of ~20 people. They were loud at certain moments but for the most part it was fine. We started off by ordering the vegetarian egg rolls and the chicken spring rolls, both fried and with a side of sweet and sour sauce. The former was good, didn’t have the chicken since I’m a pescetarian. We also got hot and sour soup for the table(minus the pork) which was my favorite part of the meal. Haven’t had a bad H&S soup yet. For the entrees, we got beef bulgogi, Mongolian beef, Hunan chicken, Kung pao chicken, grilled salmon and Peking prawns. The latter two(the only ones I ate from) were both good, but way too much sauce on them! The fried rice was interesting but I preferred the plain brown rice to counter the super savory dishes. At the end, we ordered green tea and enjoyed it with our«fortune» cookies.(See picture for explanation). Great service here and food came relatively quickly. If I came back, I’d try some other prawn or vegetarian dishes. Funny that we didn’t order any sticky rice here…

This place was indeed one of those that you ask yourself what to expect, considering its next to a library and in an office building, hole in the wall type of place that blows you away with the food ! Spicy noodle soup, sticky rice, as many other dishes we enjoyed with so much flavor and taste makes me wish I lived closer to this place, but indeed it’s on my map if I drive through this area again great happy hours and service was also amazing: loved it !

Sort of reminds me of a low-budget PF Chang. Service was very slow, food came out late and at room temperature.

I like Sticky Rice. It isn’t your traditional Chinese restaurant. The atmosphere is more like an American restaurant that serves Chinese food. First time visitors might get the wrong impression when they don’t receive chopsticks. They have them, just ask. The staff is very polite and the bar tenders are awesome. They have a pretty happening bar too. Actually they have one of the nicest restaurant bars in Fairfield. Happy hour drinks and appetizers are a great value. Chicken wings and popcorn chicken are popular items. The lunch menu is a great value as well. For about $ 10 you can have a main item that comes with rice, soup(in-house only), and I thought it came with a vegetable egg roll, but looking at their menu online, I don’t see it listed. The dinner menu is priced slightly on the high side in my opinion, but the portions are larger than the other family style restaurants in the area, and I like having some left-overs for lunch the following day. Some items I recommend are the beef broccoli, mongolian beef, and any vegetable and fish dish. I’m a big fan of the walnut prawns and I can eat their fried rice and chow mein all day long. You can get the fried rice extra spicy too, really adds a lot of flavor!

I came in on a whim due to the fun name. The staff is very friendly, my drink and food came quickly, and the portions are perfect for my ample appetite. I was worried about the spicy designations of many of the lunch items, but the bartender guided me through the menu and I chose ginger chicken with brown rice — I was exceptionally pleased. If I lived closer, I would frequent this venue a lot. I gave it 4⁄5 because it was CRAZY loud!!!

I have to say it’s the best hot and sour I’ve had in a long time… as far as everything else, it was mediocre. I will be back because I didn’t order what I normally order in a Chinese food restaurant so I can’t judge it too harshly. The prices were very affordable and the service was relatively quick…

We finally stopped in after seeing this place tucked away in an inconspicuous building. We were impressed when we walked down the hall and saw the bar and the view of the water. That is where it went downhill. We ordered our dishes(prawns, fried rice, and beef) and started talking. The dishes came out fairly fast but lacked decent presentation. As for the dishes, there weren’t very many prawns for the price(6 prawns = $ 12 meal!!) and the salad it came with was boring. The fried rice was bland and would have been better with fresh seasonal vegetables instead of what appeared to be frozen carrots/peas/corn. The beef dish was okay but again it was bland. It took forever to get the check at the end of the meal(as they were setting up for a large party in the other room). We all agreed that we would come back to the bar(to grab a drink) but not the actual restaurant until they get fresher ingredients, work on their presentation, & most importantly enhance their flavors.

Sticky Rice Chinese Bistro and Bar(SRCBB) deserved an updated review after a recent visit. I was utterly surprised on the change of perception. See my previous review if interested. By venturing off to other dishes, I can honestly say I appreciate what they have to offer. During this visit, I’ve ordered Hong Kong style chow mien, Mongolian beef, and kung pao shrimp. I enjoyed them all in that order. The chow mien was a favorite among them all. The kitchen staff cooked these three dishes super quick! It didn’t feel any longer than 10 minutes. This place was fairly busy and the short turnaround was a surprise. Winner!

Delicious food! The prices are fair, the service is awesome, & although the venue is oddly located in an office building… It’s still pretty nice inside. They even have balcony seating overlooking a waterfall. I’ve tried a bunch of items on their menu, including the pineapple walnut prawns, Mongolian beef, salt & pepper chicken, spicy garlic shrimp, bass, hunan chicken and more! All of which I would totally recommend and order again. Although the dishes are a bit Americanized, it still provides the perfect amount of authentic Chinese flavor.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Sticky Rice has live music on Saturday nights from 6:30pm-9:30pm. This past Saturday there was a jazz band, the Dalt Williams Trio featuring Marcella Hooks. They were excellent! Pair that with some good food and you are set for an excellent night! I highly recommend the hot and sour soup or wonton soup, appetizer combo, and combo fried rice. For beverages, I usually stick with Jasmine or Oolong tea, although sometimes I switch it up and get red wine. There’s a bar area, where you can take advantage of the happy hour specials during the week and i believe on weekends as well. The tv’s in the bar area are visible from the main dining room, which is good for the gentlemen out there who want to keep up with the NFL playoffs :-)
