Straw Hat Pizza

I came in on a Saturday afternoon after wine tasting. We ordered ahead for dine-​in. We ordered one large pizza and one extra-​large pizza and a salad. I definitely can’t complain about the pizza because they give you a heaping of toppings.
When we first came in and tried looking for a table to sit at, I realized how many table were dirty and needed to be bussed. We waited about 10 more minutes for our food, so I headed to the salad bar. They did offer a variety of salad toppings as well as macaroni and jello. I was a little disappointed that they used generic bacon bits, instead of actual bacon. I think the best amenity at this place was the cleanliness of the salad bar and the booths had a TV for entertainment. I was expecting glass cups for soda and ceramic plate but they served you with paper products.

Terrible customer service and cold old tasting dough. You can tell the sauce comes from a box or can. Skimpy with any toppings and very slow delivery!

Too expensive for super cheap pizza… certainly used frozen product. Unless it’s for a kids party and you have coupons this is not the place to go for pizza.

Had a great time being here for the 1^st time last night! My nephew is visiting from the Army so it was a perfect spot to eat, relax & have a great time for our large family. We ordered 4 pizzas (Spicy Buffalo Chicken, Cheese only, Pineapple Ham & Vegetarian), hot wings & Chicken hot sandwich and they were all delicious and were brought to our tables in a timely manner. The older family sat at tables while teens played either pool and air hockey. We all had a great time! We will definitely return in the future.

We’ve only ever gotten Pizza delivery from them but their pizza is very good and delivery has been fairly fast. Also, they have Gluten-​Free pizza.

My family have been coming to this location 4−5months ago for dinner and service was bad and the food quality as well. Employees were not greeting you and had attitudes.
But recently we gave it another chance since we live close by and we were surprised! It look more busier and the staff was smiling and enjoying. Also we got our pizza hot and fresh (the works) and was very tasty. I guess they cleaned up the house with the old staff. We will be coming more often to see if they stay consistent but so far so good.

Absolutely HORRIBLE service. Stopped by yesterday there as 1^st time customer with my family and will never go back again! First, the «lunch buffet» looks like a joke. Pizza (with only 3 slices on each one) looked like it had been sitting there for awhile and only had 3 different kinds to choose from. So we decided on ordering our own pizza and dining in. We had 2 children with us so they had arcade games and tv’s to entertain them. Although I had to ask if they could change the channel because what was on was a scary horror movie at 1pm on a «family oriented» dine-​in place. Which they understandably did with our 3 yr olds. Anyways, over ONE HOUR more passed since ordering our food and we have not yet received. Finally after giving them the benefit of the doubt if they were just busy (They weren’t) we finally asked and the lady that took our order forgot we had. After searching it was BOXED and been sitting there for who knows how long. She said she thought it was «to-​go» but you would think as an employee that has this customer has dine-​drinks, we have a number on our table, and just sitting there waiting for nothing??? We were so upset they didn’t even bring out plates and forgot our breadsticks we then gave their food back asked for a refund. Wasted one hour of our time and thankfully got our money back and went

We came here months ago with a
gift certificate. It ended up being a good deal, and we had another so we came tonight for the second time.
*MOLD* *MOLD* *MOLD* *MOLD*
We ordered the exact same thing. A combo. They refused to take the gift certificate this time, claiming that the combo was a promotion, and thus couldn’t be honored in conjunction. 1. This wasn’t an issue the first time and 2. Uh that’s BS. It essentially makes the
thing a scam. as it’s the same price with and without it if you itemize the combo out.
Major language barrier with the cashier who said «I already took the $ 10 off», then charged me. what he meant to say was that «the combo is already an almost $ 10 deal, and so we can’t take your gift certificate, and I already charged you SUCKER!» Long story short, he called his manager. at Walmart. and I got my $ 10, after walking away exhausted and feeling like crap.
Then I get salad bar items. Surprise, that shredded cheese I just ate was COVERED WITH MOLD. I walked up to the cashier, and showed him my handful of moldy cheese. No apology, no refund, just «I was going to change it». So after being made to feel like crap, I paid $ 33 for 2 moldy salad bars. which we didn’t eat, except for the moldy cheese unfortunately, a medium pizza, 2 drinks, and a glass of beer. What a great deal that was for the humiliation and the mold.

Ps Straw Hat Pizza. I’d love a refund for my moldy salad bar orders. Paying full price on the pizza and drinks with my gift certificate would be a better deal than paying for the moldy cheese.

We came here with our kids while in town visiting the Jelly Belly factory. The food smelled good & they were advertising a lunch special (large, 2-​topping pizza with 4 drinks for $ 25), so we stopped in. We ordered the special (which came with 6 «twists») & paid $ 27 with tax. The kids sat at a booth & watched Disney Channel at the table tv, while the missus and I sat at a high-​top across the aisle. The food didn’t take long, & it was pretty good. The twists were cheesy, had bits of bacon baked in, & came with ranch. The pizza was pretty good, if you like Chuck E. Cheese style pizza (which we do). The service was friendly, and the place was clean & not too crowded. I’d recommend to families looking for a quick, affordable, & tasty lunch.

Ordered the food on the phone at 4:39pm. Got there at 4:50pm. Misael said that a ticket wasn’t even printed for the order, that they were going to start in the pizza then. He gave my husband a free salad. We sat and waited for our pizza. We didn’t get a number or an itemized receipt. 5:20pm…got our pizza and they had sausage on it and I specifically asked for NO SAUSAGE. A bunch of kids trying…

The service here is lackluster… They have a bar and don’t pay attention to anyone sitting here unless you speak up or stand in front of the register to order. And there’s about 5 employees walking back and forth while I’m typing waiting to order??? What the Sh@t.
Only reason I’ve come here is because of the March Madness Tourney and its walking distance from my hotel.
As far as the food. It’s pizza and chain pizza at that, the buffet offers pizza and all you can eat salad. Salad is actually more appealing that the two small pizzas they out out.
One other gripe is I ordered a 22 oz. mug of beer and about 8 of them was head… when I finally spoke up to get a beer.
Advice, if you have someone pour out of a tap, teach them…

It’s very average pizza. I stopped there with some friends because it was close to Scandia and we wanted something that wasn’t a burger or taco. If you have kids who don’t cooperate they have TVs in some of the booths so you can keep them occupied with that while the adults eat.
Salad bar is decent. Pizza was par. Overall not bad but I’m sure Fairfield has better pizza offerings than a chain.

I thought this place was just «meh», nothing special, and customer service could use some serious help. I called to find out what the lunch specials were and when I went in I was told a different price. The girl that I had spoke to over the phone didn’t want to honor what she had told me, explaining that the price was «just a $ 2 difference». Shouldn’t have been a big deal then to give us the price that we were told, right?
Needless to say, we got the prices sorted out and were given our bowls for the salad bar which barely had any salad. The place was empty, no other customers there besides my husband and I, so I don’t understand why it was so hard to refill the salad. While we waited about 15 mins for our personal size pizzas to be cooked, we were stuck watching SpongeBob SquarePants on the dusty TV in our booth, unable to change the channel because the remote didn’t work.

Its edible but lacks flavor. Customer service is alright, not amazing. Little acknowledgement that I was there, no eye contact. The girl who took my order was in such a rush to end her shift she forgot my soda. Not a major deal but the little things count too. Ehh, no thanks.

We visited Straw Hat last week on the way to movie night at a friends house. We ordered the pizza at the counter to go and sat at the bench near the cash register. After 30 minutes of waiting, I walked to the counter to ask how much longer. The clerk walked to the back and grabbed our pizzas off the top of the oven. Who knows how long they sat there. Tonight we visited again for the kids soccer team party. We ordered a large BBQ Chicken pizza. This time the pizzas timeliness was good but, this time the pizza was lacking ingredients, BBQ and Chicken. Who knows maybe the were running low so they spread it really thin. Two bad experiences, two separate nights within a week.

Good food cold beer fast service! The employees are new so don’t know the answers to questions you might have but who hasn’t been new before?! This place shouldn’t have such a low rating. They even have an employee detail cleaning all the chairs and tables. I have no complaints!

Great pizza, awesome bread sticks! Loved the individual tv’s at some tables. Great way to watch football on a Thursday night.

Honesty, here…
I was tired, as my little sister, Goddaughter, and I had just gotten off of BART in Pittsburgh to drive back to Citrus Heights. We were hungry, it was late, and I didn’t want fast food. So, Pizza it was…
The pizza and garlic bread were pretty good, probably warranting a solid three.
The customer service (mainly the cashier), was awesome. Not only did he keep coming back with more ranch (as a waiter almost) for my sister, he also went back and got band-​aids for my Goddaughter (who was suffering from a previous scrape). I feel good customer service should be recognized, and I feel the male cashier went above and beyond.
So again, pizza was pretty good, and this place has great customer service if this wasn’t a fluke (which I believe it wasn’t).

I love coming here and having lunch before work. They have this lunch buffet special before 2pm, unlimited pizza, salad and groovy twists yum! The place is clean plus the workers are great and attentive.

it’s 6:55 on a Sunday night and every single table is filthy and has dishes left on them… but the place is completely empty. I’ve been here already 32 minutes and still waiting on a pepperoni pizza.
oh wait… I’m leaving now, they came out and told me that they lost my order. how?! I’m the only one here!
