Seriously, the bagel/cream cheese selection is to die for. Their coffee is ok. I am always much, much more concerned with garlic cream cheese on a spinach bagel. No one has ever yelled at me in the drive-thru there but even if they did… Oh well. Gimme that bagel. Also, since the only other real alternative in Fall River for this on the fly is Dunkin Donuts… It’s sort of like you can either have a flustered employee and an amazing bagel experience at NY Bagel or a flustered employee and a horrible crappy processed weird bland bagel with a bunch of generic crappy cream cheese in a little cup on the side to smear on your own crappy bagel from D&D. Clearly this is a city full of pretty brusque individuals– rudeness is to be expected. Just go for the superior bagel every time.

Great little stop to get some of the freshest bagels toasted to order. So many flavors to choose from. My boys love the bagel store. Lol my 15 year olds favorite is the chocolate chip bagel toasted with egg salad. To each is own I guess. I saw the comment about the rude lady in the drive thru. I felt the same on that note. I just go in with other people or let a customer ahead of me to avoid her. Nothing can stop me from an occasional treat!

Going to be direct. 1) The store was dirty looking. Desperately needs a makeover 2) The bagel was burnt 3) The pastrami was greasy 4) No one bothered to ask if I wanted my sandwich warmed/toasted 5) Way overpriced I have eaten at the Dartmouth N.Y. Bagel. The store is clean, the food consistently good. I haven’t been to N.Y. Bagel for a while and hope it’s not just going way way way down hill.

I love New York Bagel. I dislike the rude woman who works the drive thru. I asked for an onion bagel in which she proceeded to rudely tell me they do not have onion bagels. Confused, as it is on the menu, I asked if they stopped carrying them. She angrily yells at me that they ran out. I’m sorry, but the correct answer is «oh, I am sorry we are all out of onion bagels.» How hard is it to say that? Terrible customer service.

Having lived in Brooklyn 10 years, I’ve missed a decent bagel. I’m thrilled to have stumbled on New York Bagel. I encountered them while at Miriam Hospital,(A Jewish hospital, so the term«decent bagel» has some meaning.) and asked where they got the bagels from. I purchased some to freeze, as they freeze just fine. I had the pumpernickel, always my favorite, and have it simply toasted with gobs of butter and a sprinkle of salt. It was perfect. I tried the asiago, and it was nice, but lighter, more like Au Bön Pain, not repeatable for me.
