Best Buy

I’ll go to Amazon from here on out. Amazon doesn’t require me to show a receipt to the mailman after he delivers my product, their customer service is actually responsive and will listen to a customer’s complaint or concern, and is generally cheaper.

So when I first went into this location I had amazing customer service. The guys in computers were amazing! I bought arlo cameras and a nest smoke alarm as well as an Apple Watch and a few other items. When I called the store, I asked to speak to the manager because I wanted to tell them how amazing they were. The girl that answered the phone was so rude. I told her I wanted to speak to the manager and she says about what? In a harsh tone. I then tell her it’s for how well I was treated and now I’m starting to think otherwise. She was very rude and eventually transferred me after I kept on asking for the manager. I did tell the manager about this, but I also told him why I first called and that was to let them know how awesome they treated me. I then went in a few days later and was greeted by this kid that had a beard in the video game section. He started out nice and when I asked him when they would be getting an item in he pretended to walk to a computer and check when the item would be in. He told me he didn’t know when it would be in. I then asked what he searched for and he told me he searched a different item. Come to find out the computer wasn’t on is when I asked for someone else. He stated you can go find someone else. Wow very rude. I ended up telling someone else about this ordeal since the manager was called but apparently he was in a meeting. Cliff the general manager that I spoke to when I gave a good review is actually not a very nice guy. Personal skills are lacking a bit especially when you walk in and say hi and he acts like you aren’t even there haha. The one other person that was amazing was when I went in today which is Black Friday. She was a very sweet tall girl that helped me with a tv purchase. Besides her and two guys in the tv section and Justin up front who was a cashier and very welcoming, everyone else just seems like they really want to get off work and they hate being there which is understandable when your gm cliff doesn’t even show respect to the customers. He probably really doesn’t care about his employees. The other funny thing is that when I spoke to cliff about the amazing customer service I received, he had told me that he really takes pride in the customer service ratings at his store. Newsflash cliff! If you take pride then maybe you should show it! The last person who is always high energy and very respectful and actually gives a crap about his job is Todd! So out of all your many employees at this store I have named a few who are awesome. The majority are not very respectful though including management. I don’t regret calling about the great customer service I received in the first place though because they truly went above and beyond with helping me. Too bad this is how Best Buy has become. Hey cliff your rating here sucks so take some initiative and put a smile on your face! You’re making great money as a gm. The least you could do is smile. It’s really not that overwhelming to have to smile!

I came in to store after having a tenacious program prompting for a renewal key code on my Toshiba Laptop. After deciding not to purchase this Webroot SecureAnywhere Antivirus, malware, and Spyware, my laptop system was now fighting that same program from popping up constantly (ironic). After my unsuccessful attempt to unistall it myself, I had to stop by here for support. They did a wonderful successful job the first time around. Geek Squad once again proofs themselves being knowledgeable on technology-​based situations. Thanks Richard/​Russell.

i can see why they have bad reviews but i personally had a good experience.
we were looking for a certain wire and the young man had looked it up in the computer to help us find it. the computer showed they had three at the store but we looked everywhere. he helped us look and checked the whole store. we figured it was in the back where they keep their cars. as we were about to go look for someone back there, a lady comes out and basically yells that the back room is locked and armed and we can’t look. it would have taken her two seconds to grab the wire we needed and we’d be on our way. but since she decided to be lazy, we didn’t buy the wire. we drove a long way to come to this Best Buy because we knew it was in stock at this certain Best Buy. good thing the young man was very nice and approachable and has great customer skills so thank you for that! for him, i will give four stars.

Wow look at all the negative reviews! I guess I’m not alone. Past two purchases have had to be returned due to being junk… Customer service is lack luster, Amazon here I come

Sales staff is laughable. Super nice when buying something easy like a TV or an Appliance, if something goes sideways or your looking for a specific thing or help that is not a TV or a major appliance your on your own more, often than not they tell you to go to Amazon lol, if you have an issue just ask for an opps manager or a store manager they will help you cause they have to, don’t bother asking the front line sales staff they suck.

I went to this Best Buy and let me tell you. it was HORRIBLE!.we have experienced racism here, since my mom and me are mexican. We were ignored by the whole staff. We thought that they were just busy, but then we saw how gladly they would help white females. We kept asking for help, but no one would help us. Extremely rude employees.
Never go there!

Issue was naver resolved. I will never spend another dollar with this company.

They ripped me off for $ 1000.00. I’ll never shop there again. I used to buy all my electrics from them. What a shame

This store is awful. After walking out empty handed the past four times I have gone here I think I’m done trying.
Staff stands around chit chatting in clusters so that over half the store has zero staff to assist with questions, and the staff they do have doesn’t know how to answer simply questions. The managers are rude to their employees in front of customers when the employees ask their managers for help. Two employees and a manager unable to find an item which their inventory and the website stated they had in stock because it «wasn’t their department and we don’t know where they keep them” — they suggested I order the item online after wasting 30 minutes of my time looking for it.
Also, the store looks awful, it actually looks like they are in the midst of a liquidation sale. Half empty shelves, stock all in disarray, similar items located in 3 different areas throughout the store for no reason.
This place reminds me of Circuit City a few years before they shut down; bored, uninformed employees, rude management, poorly stocked and no thought behind inventory placement. And the prices on many items are outrageous when you compare them to Amazon or even other stores in the area.

Over the last two years I have had very mixed experiences at best buy stores. Every time I have a bad one… It’s BAD. but there always seems to be that one great employee the next visit that balances it out and I come back. This time I am very disappointed and likely won’t return. While purchasing a phone today for my son the rather unfriendly rep (associate 868 377 is all I can find on the receipt) seemed almost like I was putting her out for having to assist me. No smile, no connection, nothing. But when another associate asked her for help (I think she may have actually been a supervisor) and she said «no, they can’t leave with both phones! Where the F*** did they go?» Right in front of my kids and those of the family next to us, I couldn’t believe it. Then she wrapped up the sale and said «ok, you’re done» and walked away. Unacceptable.
I have filled out three surveys, both good and bad, on best buys feedback website in the past and never got any response. Doubt I will this time. It’s too bad, because there are good employees at best buy. She is just not one of them.

Service sucked, people were not as knowledgeable who work there. They all say the same lines as instructed. The return policy is a joke. We bought a juicer there and they made a big stink. It was a xmas gift, you’d think after xmas is when to return it when it doesn’t work. Well, we tried and they said even though it’s not 90days we’d have to take it to manufactorer as its their problem not Best Buy where we bought it. WTF? Ya’all need a lesson in good service. Never buy anything there again.

I can’t say that I have been pleased with this location. The shopping experience here has been nothing but mediocre, but compared to other locations in the area and actions of management as of late, this one has fared better than Tukwila and Puyallup thus far.
I have to admit my psuedo-​quasi «family» and I did used to patronize this location when we lived in the area and since moving away we no longer thought of it when we thought about going to BB, however after visits to the afore mentioned locations as of late, this seems to be my closest alternative.
I went into this location twice once on ¹²⁄₂₄ and again on ¹²⁄₂₆ to seek out a game. I was told on the 24^th that it was out and after calling I was told on the 26^th that it was in. I drove all the way to the location and was informed that they did not have the game and were not expecting any until the 28^th. On the 28^th I contacted the store twice and was told that there were no games in. I called back on the 29^th after being told another shipment was due and again was told no luck.
I called on ¹²⁄₃₁ and wanted to check on the status of an item I had ordered from another store. When the phone rang I were told that I was next in line to have our call answered. When the phone rang for me to get an agent, someone picked up the phone and then immediately put it on hold. Not knowing the store closed early I tried this 3 times until I got a recording, «We are sorry, but the store is now closed». This was at 7:00pm. I called on ¹⁄₁ and not only was my item in, but also my game. Since the promotion was over on the 28^th for price matching and a gift card offer for an instore purchase, BB was nice enough to honor these promos after they expired.
When scanning my rewards points though, I was informed that they had already been used. Impossible I retorted… So another $ 20.00 (the value of my rewards) was taken off my items and I was pleased with the customer service I received from two individuals but one could use more customer service training.
I don’t know whether or not to recommend this store, it isn’t remarkable, however the people seem to be a little more empathetic and friendly compared to the employees at other area BB’s.
The star count is influenced by visits to this location from 2010 to present and not just based on this transaction as this one transaction spanned 7 days alone. I see an upward trend with this store and believe that if BB makes it, it is because of employees at stores like this one. I once bought a computer that died within 4 months and they would not come to a consensus that they were incorrect during the sale by not offering the black tie protection even though the clerk that sold it to me was in the store and admitted he was incorrect.

This isn’t one of their largest locations but there is plenty of helpful staff roaming around. They aren’t afraid to engage customers so it’s nice to not have to track down a customer service person.
They seemed to have cut back on their movie selection and I may have missed it but I didn’t see an animé section anymore, which sucks.
The vehicle installation tech, Ryann, is Super helpful and knows his stuff. Also I like that he looks you in the eye when he’s talking to you. Made me feel like I could trust him and he wasn’t hiding anything!
The store is always clean, same with the restrooms and there’s several gaming stations for you to play the latest consoles!
I love this location and I love this particular BB, it’s my favorite!

its your basic electronic store with price matching, to support from their geek squads, gaming, movies, cameras, phones, computers and more.
i usually switch around from best buy /​walmart /​target /​or online to search the best deals and bring it to bestbuy to see if they can get a better deal.
when they deliver your lets say tvs or fridge, they are friendly and fast !

I have never, never stormed out of a place for poor customer service. I’m pretty chill, I get that you’re busy, I get that customers are sometimes jerks and that if I’m not freaking out, I probably won’t be prioritized. No problem. Except that it took 10 minutes to flag down an employee for help, another 10 to flag down someone new because the first guy never came back, and then 25 minutes of just pacing up and down the aisle because I literally could not proceed until somebody came to help me out. This was noon on a Wednesday. There were all of maybe 5 other customers in the store at the time. By the time the first guy returned, told me it would be «just another few minutes» before he could get to me, and kept walking, I was just beyond done, and I had to get back to work. All I needed was a damn mouse. Walked down to Office Max and got it there, instead.

This place saved me when I needed a hard drive ASAP. The guy who helped me answered some of my questions and did do a good job of checking stock making sure I got what I was looking for.
I don’t usually shop here unless I have to and this was one of those moments. Nothing really negative to say about my experience.

We used to be at this store at least once a week, spending thousands annually. That has drastically changed over the last year to only visiting once in a long while.
I needed a charger for my phone so we stopped in. I found the charger that I needed, no problem and while I was at it I thought maybe I should get a dock/​charging stand for my iPod. Not having any luck finding what I was looking for, I asked an employee that happened past. Not only did he not listen to what I wanted, proceeded to drag me over to powered speakers for my iPod, I further explained what I was looking for and it was as if he didn’t care or perhaps just wasn’t listening.
I don’t think I have ever had a negative experience at this store, but this was just annoying. We used to really enjoy coming here.

UPDATE ONE Star is too high.
We had problems installing Microsoft Office on a new computer we purchased at Best Buy — it would not work — kept getting error messages. Geek — had a typically Federal Way location attitude {we have experienced this attitude on numerous other occasions} — «not my problem». The Geed said — all I had to do was uninstall and do it again. Asked how to uninstall — he did a few keys and said there I started it — immediately we received the message — unable to uninstall.
His response was — he could work on it for $ 30+. Note — a one day old computer with issues and now another $ 30.00 — wonder if I paid him $ 150.00 what he would do — but I digress.
We took it to Tacoma store — different attitude — they looked at it, did a few key strokes and said I had installed it correctly — just had to fix something minor — and it worked. They also installed Norton (that I purchased at that store) for free.
Tacoma is A few miles different but worth the trip.
I went to Best Buy to purchase a printer. Our son keeps saying — buy it on the internet — but I still prefer to see them before I buy them and get them right away. Oh Well — I guess those days are gone.
What came to mind as I was leaving the store (with nothing) — remember The Future Shop and Ernst Home Centers? Those two and others were once big and successful but for many reasons are no longer with us — in my opinion one of the reasons is they cut back on service. Perhaps Best Buy should check into their history?
The store was not crowded and we asked a young lady for help in the printers section. She sent over this gentleman who did not know very much about printers — he even admitted that he had been working in TV’s. After looking at the few they had — I was hoping to get a good multipurpose — I asked why their selection seemed to be limited and he and another employee said that they were closing out these printers and waiting for the new line to show up. Hmmmm — If you are closing them out shouldn’t they be on sale.
He did mention the Best Buy on line had a better selection — so I guess our son was correct — but why go to Best Buy on line when there are cheaper places on line.
I next asked another female sales employee if they have batteries for lap tops. She said sure — looked on the shelf for a while and disappeared over to the computers. We are standing there waiting when another employee asked if we were helped — said we were not sure — told him what we wanted and he immediately said they don’t sell them — your best bet is — guess — wait for it — OK «ON LINE».
Makes me wonder why I came to the store — so I went on line and got what I wanted. Oh well they use to be a nice store — like Future Shop and Ernst.
