Best Western Evergreen Inn & Suites

Before leaving our on our flight from Las Vegas I called the hotel to let them know we would be checking it late– @3a. Rep said she couldn’t find my reservation but then found it in another file. She told me it would show check in for next day but not to worry as our room is reserved for fri night/​sat morning. Upon arrival at 3am Sammy the claimed night manager/​auditor stated our room was reserved for sat and we can come back to checkin at 3p. Um. Showed him my reservation, contacted Expedia who confirmed reservation. Sammy still refused to provide room. He did offer to put us in another room allowing us to pay the difference. Uh no thanks. After an hr of going back and forth with him and Expedia now 4am I called best westerns cust service. She had the reservation clearly listed as fri going into sat and couldn’t understand why he refused to give us a room. After she called and spoke with Sammy he relentlessly gave us a family room — and acted like it was a treat for my husband and I-​alone– to have a room with bunkbeds in it. He also argued with the best western rep telling her if he changes the bookings (which Expedia already had been paid for) they wouldn’t get paid. Two weeks later best western also charged me for the room. So now I have paid for crappy service twice. Thank you best western for giving me even more to follow up on
Room itself was clean. If we had our kids the bunkbeds would’ve been cute– for the 6 hrs we were there and slept.

My husband and I were relocated here for work so the company put us up here for an extended stay while we closed on our house. Our stay here was rough to say the least.
Cons:
–When we first got there we were warned they are pet friendly but they just had their carpets replaced so basically don’t damage them… okay thanks for the warning?
–Our standard size room was on the 8^th floor and very small for the two of us and our golden retriever (not to mention the pain in the butt it was to let out our dog from the 8^th floor)
–Their keys also last about 1 day and then they need to re coded or replaced, so countless trips down to the front desk to get new keys. By the end of our stay we had at least 25+ keys…
–The house keepers were afraid of our dog so the room was never cleaned unless we asked, in most cases asked several times.
–They do not have standard size pillows here, they are almost the size of little throw pillows and there is very few of them.
–The laundry machines here are $ 1.75 per load, and the from desk is often out of quarters. All the gas station in town do not want to distribute quarters either so good luck.
–There are signs all over the parking lot saying ‘not responsible for damage to vehicles’ there is a reason for this… my husband left for work one morning and there was 4 cars that had their windows smashed out by a homeless man. So apparently this has happened before and they should do something about it?
–This probably wouldn’t be something that happens to a normal visitor to the hotel but, the hotel accidentally charge my husbands credit card versus the relocation company. So we had a hefty bill that took quite a few days to be reimbursed. Was quite the nightmare while closing on a house.
— There is a restaurant in the hotel that is a complete joke. One night we didn’t want to go out of dinner, figured we would grab a bite in the hotel. The waitress/​bartender made eye contact with us several times as we sat in the restaurant but never served us. We waited 20 minutes and nothing… ended up leaving. She served everyone at the bar but not us… it was ridiculous.
Pros:
–Their breakfast is pretty fantastic, anything you would want they have.
–Staff was very hospitable
–Centrally located to movie theaters/​mall/​restaurants and directly off the highway
–Since we were here for such a long stay they upgraded us to a junior suite after a week or so. The extra space was greatly appreciated!
I personally won’t be visiting this place again and wouldn’t recommend it to someone coming for a visit to the area.

The worst! Especially the manager there. So disrespectful and rude to not only employees but everyone. He’ll try to rip anyone off he can.

Well I guess it’s better than camping, super hard mattress, tiny tiny pillows, the sheets so old the top sheet was completely worn out and matted down. The décor it’s awful nothing matched plaid drapes circle bread spread, stains all over the carpet. Breakfast was bad looks nothing like the pictures online nothing was fresh I had a bagel and it was stale.

My family has stayed here 4 different times. It’s in a great location near several restaurants/​fast food, and shopping. They do not charge for parking and the breakfast in my opinion is AMAZing! They had a wide selection of food options, waffles, biscuits and gravy, French toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, cereal, hot coffee, cocoa, juice, milk and a person making fresh omelets. The breakfast is FREE! I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about the beds, well I’d say they were pretty good, Comparable to a red lion or Sheraton. The only complaint I have is when we went to the pool there were no towels. I asked the front desk before getting in, they said they’d send some right over. An hour later they still hadn’t brought them. This is the hotel we prefer when going to the Seattle area.

It’s unfortunate, most Best Westerns meet a level of standard that is of good value, service, and overall satisfaction. Not really at this one. My mother was visiting and I booked her a room at this location because it was the cheapest in the area, aside for those that were by the hour!
First of all, yes it was the last weekend of the US Open, so rates were astronomical in comparison to any other weekend. Unfortunately, even if they weren’t the value was not on par! The room was lack luster, looks like every other hotel room in the country, although at least it wasn’t as tired as I have seen some. The spa was not operational, which was a huge disappointment. One would hope that when you are charging a premium during an event that the establishment would be at top notch.
Probably the best part of the stay was the included breakfast. The food was decent, there was certainly selection and the made to order omelettes really helped make it seem worth it. They have the usual best western fare and I would recommend it for that if the other items were acceptable.

This place is a big fat lie! I booked 4 rooms here, when I went to check in, they told me I only had 3 rooms. It was a group of 10 so we tried to book an extra room, they said they were full. 10 people in 3 tiny rooms, geez, that great. I had already prepaid for 4 rooms! So I went to
customer service to get a refund for that room that wasn’t given to us. They went back and forth with Best Western, and now Best Western is saying they had that extra room but I just never checked in. Really?! I just wanted to cramp 10 people together?! So Best Western «has decided not to refund because the reservation was inside penalty window.» WTF does that even mean? It’s not like I waited weeks to settle this, I was still staying in the hotel. So I paid for 3 rooms at a more expensive rate. The hotel wasn’t all that bad if it was for the awful service I got. But 0 stars if I could.
tl;dr Charges you for 4 rooms and gives you 3, then say no refund because they couldn’t find the fourth room you booked. Bad services

Nice hotel! Great breakfast, warm pool, nice rooms. My only complaints were fairly stiff mattress and they only have a single entrance/​exit. Also, could use an extra blanket in the closet, especially in the suites.

Check in was quick, was handed a room key with no more info. Room was decent but after the first night we found the beds to be as hard as a rock, pillows smelled musty and the bathroom cleanliness questionable. I asked to have the room cleaned and it did at 3pm the next day!!!
Not impressed for the rate and average customer service.

Worst breakfast I’ve ever experienced at a hotel. Fruit selection was strictly old apples and oranges, no oatmeal, sugary cereals and yogurt. Terrible place. Have come across one staff member who has been helpful.

Just here for the night I got a decent rate however, I did not actually get any real pillows just 4 half sized pillows and a decorative pillow. No comforter on the bed just a thin blanket and sheet. The mattress is like sleeping on a rock. Definitely not happy. I stay in a lot of different hotels and this has been one of the worst.

I like this place. Rooms are bigger than the competitors, the breakfast was really good, the restaurant and bar was decent, it’s close to shopping and restaurants. Yeah, okay it’s The best Western and far from Seattle and all the hip stuff that comes with being in the middle of town but I think this was a great value.

This hotel SUCKS!!! First off the most unpleasant workers ever Normally the hotel workers are nice and pleasant These girls were horrible saved my mac nuts cause they wete so bad didnt give them any first off the toilet got stuck twice we had to plunge it ourselves how you like that secondly wanted towels so called front desk girl said in a few minutes well few minutes is not hours later called again for towels and its midnight and she tells me the only person who can get me towels is stuck in traffic TRAFFIC at midnight does this girl think I was born yesterday come on I aint dumb horrible horrible service DONT STAY HERE!!!

Their motto should be «we are very professional but not hospitality.»
We got 1-​night July stay from Groupon coupon. One day before arrival asked about early checkin. Was told by Ms. Laura to call on day of checkin. Did exactly that and was told to call back around 1. So we showed up around 1 and we’re told to wait till 3 PM to be checked in.
I would specifically like to point out that Ms. Laura was not very welcoming.
Our family was not greeted by any of the staff. One person did assure us around 2 that he will get us going but then again that never happened.
Around 2:15 another lady told us she was looking for a «clean» room which we got quickly.
Once we got in we were greeted with a nice room with a not-​so-​great view.
By the way they also charge an «incidental» which, although refundable, makes you feel like a robber…
No wonder Groupons stock is so low: some of their partners treat Groupons customers bad and in turn Groupon loses business and rep. It makes the Groupon experience also quite inconsistent.

I needed a room one very early morning last week after thirty-​six straight hours of traveling and then hospital bedside, in that order. I’ll get back to that in a minute, but first allow me to begin with how it begun…
A beautiful Seattle weekend in August basically translates into zero hotel rooms. As in, completely sold out within any reasonable distance from Seattle/​Hospital. I am literally at this point the visage of the weary traveler, pathetically being turned down hotel after hotel. So, after mindlessly driving down I-​5 for an hour, I see my beacon of hope. Best Western. I walk in praying to any available and/​or closest deity out there to please have a room. At this point all I want is a shower and a bed but the very second I walked into my room (spoiler alert; they had one) I realized a few things right off the bat. (One of which is that I need to seriously check myself before declaring that «all I want is a shower and a bed». That is such a lie. Even half dead I’m bitching because the TV wasn’t in HD.)
Here goes: This place is kinda gross. It’s super dark and dingy’ish, the carpet is badly stained and the décor is really outdated. The bath water came out brown. Yep, BROWN. Which by the way, when I drained, the unused water left the most disgusting brown ring in the tub. I turned on the shower, allowed water to build and after seeing it was clear, swiftly aborted the Relaxing Bath Plan and instituted Operation Shower: Hope This Water Doesn’t Make Me Sick Plan.
Bed was decent so I’m not going to totally hose you on points. I am a fair woman after all.
Woke up the following whatever (at this point I’m lost to time), wash my face aaaaand boom. The sink is plugged.
Got dressed, checked out. In that order. I did see your breakfast spread on the way out and it looked decent.
Why didn’t I complain. I’d ask that of me as well. It’s a fair question. To answer I’ll ask that you revisit my first paragraph. The human body can only take so much before ya just say eff it, ya know? That’s a long time to be awake my friends. Now, had I been fresh there’s no WAY this would be even remotely ok. In fact, I’d have requested a change of room. It’s really true what they say, your standards DO drop when you add a dash of desperation to the mix. I hope you never have to experience that emotion, it’s truly horrific
In summation, I’m grateful I was able to get a room, but as desperate as I was, it wasn’t worth anywhere near the $ 134 I paid.

Staff are extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. Left 8am and returned at 3pm, my room was still not made up. Water took 15 minutes to get warm in the shower and 3 days of complaining didn’t motivate them to fix it. One bedroom suite is okay but I won’t stay here again.

Husband surprised me with a quick local overnight just to getaway.
We checked in and the rooms are nicely decorated, comfy bed, clean surfaces, courteous & very helpful clerks, quiet hallways…
Pool is smaller but other guests’ kids playing in it didn’t seem to mind…
Hot tub was great. It was actually hot, which is perfect :)
There’s a hot breakfast tomorrow so I’ll edit to add after weave had it :)

Very bad experience here. Dirty hall carpets and rooms, horrid smelling air freshener throughout that made me nauseous. Some of the staff were friendly, but a woman at the front desk was rude, unsmiling and not helpful. No liners in the trash cans, so the maid used one of my plastic bags to line the trash! Thin bedding with no quilts so we froze one night when the heater went out. The water takes forever to get warm, and the phones and clocks are not easy to use. Blow drier in the bathroom worked for about 10 seconds at a time before overheating. Very cheap, tacky décor throughout as well. Really a dated, unappealing place. I have stayed at much nicer Best Western properties before. Can’t recommend this place at all.

So I got the 2 bedroom suite and it was pretty nice. I see the bad reviews here and I really don’t know why they said that. The people were very friendly here. I had interactions with several staff members and they all were professional. The room was clean. It maybe needed some updating but not to much. The free breakfast was average. Nothing to write home about but far from gross. I ate it three days in a row and they had different things every day.
One night we ordered room service and it was quite good. Except the pot stickers. They were not so good but you can’t be happy with everything. The rest of that meal was great.
The pool and hot tub were clean and great to hang out in. It wasn’t over chlorinated. It was just right.
To show you how much I liked this one, I am planning another trip over that way in a few months and I plan to see if I can stay here again.

Do not trust this hotel. They are dishonest and unprofessional.
I had a block of rooms reserved for my daughters soccer team. The contract said we had until 7÷12÷13 to reserve the rooms. Called on ⁷⁄₈ and all the rooms had been given away to another group. Nikki Devlin the group sales manager said the Director of Sales ignored the contract and gave our rooms away. I attempted to contact the General Manager and the Director of Sales and did not get a response. Do not give your money to this hotel. They are not to be trusted.
