Walmart Supercenter

I’m a big dude, 6ft 8 and size 18 shoes. For the last few years I have not been able to find socks in my size. But Walmart had them, other than they are only in white they are great. Good price, good fit, and plenty of them.

I just wanted to bring up to someone’s attention how unprofessional and unwilling to help Walmart pharmacy manager Abidarahman Tache was when I was trying to pick up my medication. There was an issue with my insurance company that could have been resolved with a simple call, but he said that there was nothing he could do. He said that he tried earlier and I will have to call to my insurance company myself. As I was asking to him to call my insurance again and let them speak to me if that’s what needed from me in order to get my medication today (it was after 6 p. m and the medication I take should be taken every day), he didn’t seem to care at all about the consequences of me not being able to have it that day, he was getting ready to leave, he said something to another pharmacist as he pointed at me, which gave me the impression that another person is going to take over my case and try to resolve the issue. I have been just standing over there for 15 minutes waiting for the pharmacist that I thought is trying to call my insurance to say something till I noticed that she is not on a phone, not by a computer, she is helping other customers already. So, the manager left saying that HE CAN NOT help me, the other pharmacist didn’t even try to help since her manager told her that there is nothing can be done. I couldn’t believe that I was actually talking to a pharmacy manager who is not capable to make a call to the insurance company, or he simply didn’t want to because he wanted to get out of work.
Now is the part where I would like to thank a very attentive, professional, customer-​oriented lady Shiann that is Walmart’s pharmacy technician in TRAINING. I expressed my frustration to her about feeling ignored by Abidarahman Tache and the other pharmacist. She apologized, asked my name and DOB, called my insurance right in front of me, thanked them, hanged up and said my prescription will be ready in a few minutes. IT TOOK HER LESS THAN 3 MINUTES. I was astounded! Let me repeat it again, this professional young lady was still on training. She just «magically» solved a problem in 3 minutes what the pharmacy manager couldn’t. She completely turned around the whole situation where I thought it was going to be the last time I go to this pharmacy to where I left with a feeling that I was valued, showed empathy and my problem was resolved.
May be she should be the manager…

DO NOT BUY CAR BATTERIES HERE! I have had to go in twice now over the last year because my car died from their cheap batteries. I understand getting a bad battery every once in a while but 2 times? And they don’t offer a refund instead they will just replace my battery with another crap one that will probably die in 3 – 6 months. Lesson learned.

Saw 20 employees mingling, there are only 2 regular isles open, tried to get help from employees for more registers open was ignored, have to get son from school bus stop, will be late due to this highly unprofessional walmart… there are cameras everywhere management should know what goes on in this «super» walmart…

went in today grabbed four things headed over to the express lanes. Cashier pulled me to her line and began to ring me up. There was a pack of gum next to the card reader and as I looked at the screen on the card reader I noticed the gum on the first line. I said that’s not my gum she said oh I know. I replied well it’s showing as scanned she said oh I’m sorry about that pushed a button and said ok and gave me a total I said it’s still there and not showing as voided she said oh I’m so sorry and then pressed more buttons. Still there. A manager came over and said what’s going on the cashier said she didn’t want the gum the manager said oh ok just void it and magically she knew how to fix it. I feel like she was trying to get me to pay for gum she would later enjoy. My husband called the store where the manager defended the cashier (how would she benefit from that well I’d pay for it she’d get it free) and gave excuses (maybe it got caught on the belt, there was no belt). Shady…

This is Walmart people come on. Stop expecting Costco level shit at Walmart. This is your typical Walmart. The lines are always long, never enough cash registers open, employees fed up, low prices, and bad parking. Go there get what you need and get out.
Never had a problem with purchasing or returning anything.

I made the mistake of going to this Walmart for an oil change today. The guy told me it would be a two hour wait so I gave him my cell number to contact me once complete because I wanted to get lunch while waiting. Two hours later I hadn’t received a call so I went back to find the oil was never changed because they claimed the oil plug was rounded. I asked why they left me waiting and the lady behind the counter got an attitude. My friend who was with me called the store manager and he said he would look into and call back… he NEVER did! I went to Jiffy Lube in Covington and the oil plug popped right off without issue. The fact that the Walmart service center didn’t change my oil isn’t what made me angry, it’s the fact that they couldn’t call and tell me and the store manager apparently lacks the customer service skills required to return the call he said he would make. I won’t go back to this Walmart.

It’s Walmart — what can one really say or refer to in regard to Walmart without one of those atrocious yet wildly popular «people of Walmart» themed memes automatically coming to mind. Well this particular location is one that we come to every few months to buy things for the house that truth be told are less expensive here than Target or Fred Meyer. They also have the best price around on Tazo teas and natural stevia packets which are my favorite. I always stock up. Customer service is subpar but that doesn’t deter most of us as we are here for specific items only. Girls, drugstore makeup brand prices are better here than everywhere else, almost always. The customer service during our last visit was something else — it took 20+ minutes to get through the self checkout bc of their flawed checkout system and the incompetent management that took forever each time to figure out the issue. It was ridiculous. We were only purchasing 8 – 10 things. Parking seems to always be full also. I do like the stationary/​notebook and party planner section for kids — best prices than elsewhere. So therefore it gets 3 stars.

Been shopping here since the place opened, but they’re really not taking care of the place & it looks like it’s been here for decades, just screaming for a head-​to-​toe makeover. Still, it looks like a QFC in comparison to the older non-​supercenter Walmarts.
Pros:
*Definitely cheaper than any place other than Grocery Outlet & Winco. For example, Pete’s Coffee is $ 2 – 3 cheaper here than at Safeway.
*Does save you from having to visit multiple stores.
*Huge selections of any shopping category you could possibly need.
*If you use expensive SLS-​free shampoos, soaps, & lotions, they have a good quantity tucked away in the back of the makeup department, cheaper than other stores.
*If steak & shrimp aren’t in your budget, they might be here.
*Possibly the biggest dairy section I’ve ever seen in a store. Carry more yogurts & coffee creamers than anyone.
*Next door to a Gamestop. Bring your 3DS.
*The employees here have always been very pleasant with us.
Cons:
*How they keep their prices down: At least half of their stuff is made in overseas sweatshops, most of the cans are dented, & the produces is withered & covered in fruit flies.
*Fred Meyer is the superior supercenter if you’re more concerned with quality than price.
*They’re usually out of stock of whatever it is you happen to be looking for, if they even carry it at all.
*If you’re into organics, you’re in the wrong store.
*If you want the best value for meat, go to Costco, stock up on a month’s worth. Costco also has cheaper butter, if you can believe it.
*They’re getting increasingly stingy with their variety of greek yogurt flavors.
*Worst bakery ever. Few muffins (undersized at that), no sourdough, no croissants, no doughnuts (not that they were that good), the kind of frosting-​heavy cakes only small children like.
*No grain-​free pet food.
*Despite having many isles, usually all but 3 are closed.
*Bathroom doors in a state of disrepair, toilets have a power flush that soaks the seats.
Personal tip: Go to Walmart on a Saturday, after hitting the Farmer’s Market at the mall. That’s the only place in town you can buy tomatoes that smell like sweet honeysuckle.

Usually can find what I’m looking for here. I like to cheaper prices on household items. I was looking for camping chairs and was disappointed to see they didn’t have their stock replenished, but was able to select something. They seriously need to improve where the cart collection points are, have to walk far or leave the cart abandoned as many ppl have opted to do.

It’s Wal-​mart, it’s really not about good service, right?
Ok, it looks like I have to write more than that for it to show up as an actual review, so here goes: the service was maddeningly slow, one employee pretty much told me «That’s not my job» when I asked for some help, and the inventory was off from what the website said, i.e. they didn’t have what I wanted.
But like I said, it’s Wal-​mart, right?

One stop shop!
They do their best to keep things clean and straight but it’s a Walmart. Do you really have expectations for that? The crowds can be rambunctious to say the least and leave things disheveled.
Prices are almost always lower at Walmart for almost everything. You can get some decent produce here for less than most places as well. Pick and choose items if you are an organic or natural/​whole foods person. just look and you will find. It’s there!
Still not the best quality meats in the meat department. I can find better prices elsewhere for better quality, but you can probably find something edible. It just won’t be a very good cut.
They have everything your regular grocery market carries plus all the other departments that a regular market doesn’t have.
You can of course get both children and adults clothing, electronics, housewares, home accessories for all rooms, outdoor sporting gear, garden and lawn items, ladies beauty products and get your RX at the pharmacy.
I’ll steer clear around any of the holidays though because the people who shop that time of year are cray cray. Seriously though, if you want to see some interesting characters doing their shopping you can probably find it in Wally World.
They have a self check-​out area which was the best thing they could do. Those lines can be ridiculous.
I’ll go back when I’m good and ready. usually when I need something right away.
I think this store is open 24/​7, but I’m not sure. Check before you go if it’s late.

This place doesn’t even deserve a star. It’s disgustingly filthy, half their produce appears to be old or rotten, shelves are always disorganized, and they are the inventor of rude nasty employees who treat customers like scum. I will only go here on an emergency basis with no other option.

Not one of the better Walmarts IMO, Mostly due to it being in a place where its «real fun» trying to get in and out of. Plus its a very busy Wally World, so I dont think I will come here again if Im in the area, will find another Walmart or shopping center.

I dislike Wal-​Mart a great deal. I rarely go to one. The reasons are because the merchandise is cheaply made, there is zero service, it’s always a zoo, and then there’s their politics like squeezing out local businesses and taking out key man insurance on their low-​wage earning employees so they can make bank when they die.
I came in purely out of convenience due to being in the area to grab some office supplies and used the self-​checkout lane which still had a long line due to multiple registers being out of order. The one I used had a handwritten note taped on it that it was accepting credit cards only.

Not many people like Walmart. They tend to compare her to her «trendy» sister, Target. Walmart has never been as clean, pretty, glamorized, up to date and popular as Target. But she’s a cheap (er) date, and that’s what attracts so many people… The people of Walmart.
I sometimes come here for things that I’m not picky about, like things that I wipe my @$$ with. (I.e. toilet paper.) They carry the same major brands at a lower price. (Why pay $ 11.99 when you can pay $ 11.97!?)
I tend to stay away from their food products. Their produce is not refrigerated and most of the boxed/​bagged food items are dusty. Probably signifies that things don’t get rotated or sold often enough. I prefer fresher food.
My biggest complaint– the xfinity salesmen! So irritating! They are always there to pry into your business and harass shoppers.
One time it was «that time of the month» and I resorted to Walmart for the necessities, — Maxi pads and dark chocolate. I wanted so bad to rip the xfinity guy’s head off when he stopped me on my menstrual mission to interrogate me about what cable I had and if I heard about his wonderful Internet special… Lose the solisitors, Walmart. It’s worse than when Target employees try to force a «redcard» down your throat.
Ps… The lady stocking the feminine hygiene isle was cranky!!! (I wonder why? ;)

What can I say — a big self service store with virtually no help — long checkout lines but cheap prices.
Best place to support China since it seems like most products come from there. If I don’t need help and know what I want — I come here since it is cheaper. All the more expensive stores (Grocery) have basically the same product and are cutting back on service also — so why not save money.

You know you come here as a tourist when Federal Way is not a huge tourist city. But if you want to buy some cheap trinkets that has the «Seattle and Tacoma» gifts (like shot glasses) you can always find them in a Walmart, here as well. Though to my disappointment, there wasn’t much besides that. I normally see Tshirt and Hats but not here.
At this location though, it was difficult to find. It’s in the middle of the store, not by the main entrance. Also towards that back wall you will get lost. You’ll find subway followed by da vanci nails and smart style salon. And you thought it was just Walmart here. No, you can pretty much spend ½ day here and lose your kids in the process.
Thank goodness we came during weekday, parking was abundant. Everything scanned correctly. we got a backpack for around $ 8. We didn’t have to return anything so didn’t have to interact with the returns dept. for any frustration. So it’s about a 3 star store for me
