Disappointing. Worst Chinese food I’ve had in a while. We had a dinner for 4 people. We were the only folks eating there(I guess that should have been our first clue). The chicken, beef and pork dishes tasted like previously heated meat, and fresh vegetables added. The chili sauce smelled rancid. The rooster sauce in the bottles had maybe ½ an inch in each bottle in various tables. The bathrooms were disgusting and smelled. It was very disappointing.

Really happy with this little place. Fun for lunch and great for takeout. Large variety, great menu. Glad to have Chopstix a stone’s throw away.

Chopstix is one Chinese restaurant that is not saturated with salt. The food is fast, fresh, tasty and not expensive for what you get. The restaurant is not fancy in any stretch of the imagination. It is Felton, CA. what do you expect. Have I eaten at a better Chinese restaurant? Oh yea, but at 4X the price. For a local restaurant in the Santa Cruz mountains, it is not a bad place at all and will not break your wallet.

We eat at Chopstix regularly. The TVP chicken is wonderful and can be substituted in pretty much any chicken dish. Great for us vegetarians! After 100 or so meals here, this feels like home. I recommend the hot and sour soup, which I like better than what I’ve had a other local Chinese places, and the cashew chicken, with the TVP chicken of course.

Good Chinese food and reasonable prices. Very nice family runs the place. The son sometimes rides his trike through the dining room. We’re cool with that — we have kids too. Service is good although sometimes a little slow to get the hot sake over! We’ve eaten here more than 20 times and it has always been consistent, so we recommend it if you are in the area.

I love the food and the family here, they are very nice and the food is fantastic ! I often have the chicken chow mein or Mongolian beef but switch around once in a while since everything there is delicious. I live in Felton and go to this place regularly.

The Chinese food is soso. I love the tofu here. but American people like other food. The waitress is very beautiful. I love the people here.

This *Used* to be one of my favorite restaurants. It’s gone down hill since Dean and Joanie owned it. The service was decent. The MSG was overwhelming. It was my first time back in a year and the prices had gone up,(which isn’t a big deal, everyone needs to survive) but the portions got cut in half too! The two of us went through 3 crafts of water just trying to wash the MSG down. I was catching up with a old friend from HS and I told her there was good Chinese food in the valley and she didn’t believe me, so we drove from Santa Cruz just to eat there. It was disappointing. We should have just stayed in SC for dinner Sunday night.

Ordered to go and was asked to call back which was strange, but I guess they don’t have the ability to put people on hold? We got crab rangoon and the chopstix dinner for two, it felt like a waste of money which is sad because it wasn’t expensive. The broccoli and flavor of the broccoli beef was okay, but the beef and the rest of the meal was just bad and tasteless. The rangoon did not come with sauce and was overcooked to the point that it hurt to chew! I was hoping the good reviews were right, but we won’t be trying this again.

Very cheep. Not too good. Should have known not to eat there when I saw the grumpy look on the old man’s face.

The quality of food at chopstix has unfortunately declined recently. Used to be a great place to get tasty takeout for the whole family. The food now is either greatly over spiced or extremely bland. The meal I had a few days ago left me with an upset stomach for several days, something I hardly ever suffer from. It will be a long time before I give chopstix another chance.

Stopped in and ordered beef chow fun and Kung pao chicken to go. I was pleasantly surprised at the fact that they used white meat chicken for the Kung pao. It had a nice flavor and wasn’t drowning in sauce. The beef chow fun was perfectly cooked and not greasy. The owners were very nice. It is not American style Chinese food. What a nice surprise for Felton.

Needed a place to meet my dad for lunch so we picked this place cuz we wanted to get coffee at the White Raven next door afterward. Bad choice. I was glad they had some vegetarian options, but the food was not good. Not sure how you make veggie stir fry tasteless. Also not sure what the clear goo all over it was… sauce of some kind? The hot and sour soup was disgusting, not sure what the black ribbony things in it were. To add to that, I ended up getting horribly sick that night, and so did my dad. Spare yourself and pick somewhere else to eat, like Heavenly Café up the road, or the new Cremer House looks really great.

I used to like the food here more. It seems like the quality has diminished. I had a lunch special here yesterday, which was the sweet and sour shrimp with fried rice and hot and sour soup. We also ordered the steamed pork buns. First, the table we sat at out back hadn’t been wiped or reset. There were fried egg and other small scraps on the table. The pork buns were just OK. The hot and sour soup was also just OK. The sweet and sour shrimp and fried rice didn’t taste very fresh. The breading on the shrimp had almost a stale quality. The food was generally not particularly flavorful either and left a bit of a greasy film in my mouth, especially after reheating the leftovers. Our service was pretty good, although we had to deliver our check to the counter at the end. Our waiter was very friendly. But overall, the experience was pretty average, dare I say, mediocre. I wasn’t satisfied enough to return, though, so that’s unfortunate. Yo, Chopstix, step your game up!

Hong Kong Style Crispy noodles were my def fav! Also got the hot and sour soup too! I usually get this everywhere I go and it definitely ranks high on my list. Came here Labor Day weekend and discovered outdoor seating in the back was cool and refreshing! Could probably do a nice party of 10 – 20 people back there. I thought I was beating traffic by getting there at 2:00 bury still ran into the tail end of their lunch rush. Pretty yummy, I’m totally going back for their Pineapple Shrimp-bacon wrapped and deep fried…

I can’t believe I’m gonna say this; the new owners could not fill the big shoes of the previous owners. I don’t know when the location changed hands but it’s blatantly apparent(aside from the sign). First, the prices went up. Not too bad, just a few bucks per item. Then a small three item order to go took over 30 minutes. Thank goodness I was preoccupied«watching» a worker’s young reckless toddler boy tear up all the menus and try to run outside. The rice is tasteless(I’ve never used so much soy sauce), the chow mein noodles are undercooked and there was a small piece of plastic in it. All in all, I have a bad taste in my mouth, pun intended. Adiós Chopstix

I love independent, family-owned restaurants. I want to see these folks flourish and I think they probably are. The people here are genuinely nice and their food, ambiance, price and service are all top notch. In fact, I’d say that Chopstix is the standard bearer for Chinese done right on the central coast. All dishes are available with a vegan protein as a substitute for the advertised meat dish. I wish the establishments down the hill would get their act together. I just can’t believe it’s really that hard.

Decent Chinese food for Santa Cruz County, but of course that isn’t saying much if you are comparing to the good stuff over the hill. They have some good dishes though like the Palace Chicken and for sure the hot and sour is very tasty. The waitstaff and owner are very nice. They also have an outdoor serving area in back that is cute and dog friendly! Yay! two things I have never seen at any Chinese food establishment so I give one star just for that making this a 4 star experience for me.
