One man ordering ahead of us took 10 minutes. We finally ordered their 2 egg, bacon hash browns, toast, coffee.(No refills – 50 cents x-tra.)My scrambled came out wrong – fried and we waited another 20 minutes. Ate them anyway as we were on a schedule to Grand Canyon mule tour. Scenery beautiful inside and out. Good music. Good breakfast and coffee. Too early for them, I guess. I’d go back.

I have incredibly mixed feelings about Campus Coffee Bean. On a positive note, they have what is probably the most elaborate coffeehouse menu in Flagstaff. In addition to various types of coffee and pastries, they have a full breakfast and lunch menu as well with food made to order. Most of the baristas are students or student-age people who are trying their best. Unfortunately, that’s where my compliments about the place stop. Their service can be excruciatingly, ridiculously slow, because most mornings, they only have one barista working the front counter who also doubles as cashier. The line can get to be four of people deep. These employees usually try their best, and I don’t personally blame them for what is undoubtedly a management decision, but it’s a management decision I don’t understand. Just about every other coffeehouse I’ve ever been to has two employees behind the counter – one to serve as cashier and one to serve as barista. The seating configuration of the place is not my favorite either. They have several large tables that seem too big for the dining area and it feels cramped. Despite these limitations, I will likely continue to frequent Campus Coffee Bean in the future. But they can do better.

Inviting and casual with a worn but not old feel. Tons of food choices for Breakfast and Lunch. Try their specialty Omelettes or Poppy Lemon muffin. Walls full of tea and coffee options. Friendly local staff. Eat outside :)

The staff is nice, the coffee is on spot, & the shortcake/chocolate cookies… You can’t just have one! Easy parking AnD they’re open until late! I enjoy coming here to do home & hang out. The food is pretty awesome too! A one stop shop for good food, coffee, cookies, & long hours of homework! My favorite coffee is the Breve– technically a late but with ½ & ½ instead of milk… Complements the coffee taste!

Went in here late morning on 3⁄11 to grab a small cup of milk. Simple, right? It should’ve been, if the person working at the register had any sense of customer service. I could tell it was going to be a challenge when she was rolling her eyes at the customer in front of me. When it was my turn, I tried to remedy the situation by giving her a nice, genuine smile and a salutation. But, all she said in a cold, unfriendly tone was, what do you want? I told her, and she begrudgingly dropped the cup of milk and tossed the lid with the unwrapped straw on the counter. Well, well… some people just have no business being in a customer service role.

Stopped on the way through town and loved it! Vanilla chai was so yummy and so was the croissant breakfast sandwich the artsy feel reminded me of the hipster warm feel of Portland

This location and the food rocks. Coffee needs work though, they make you pay extra for an Americano with two shots, $.85 to be exact, when two shots is standard. For example: Starbucks Americanos cost $ 2.50 along with every other coffee shop in town, local or chain. Also their drip coffee is weeeak. If I wanted a cup of coffee where I could see the bottom of my mug, I’d go to Denny’s. Also charging $.50 for a refill is a little silly, although I understand if people are there studying for hours on end paying for one cup but getting 12. Again though, the coffee is see through and that’s why you get 12 cups at Denny’s as well as The Campus Coffee Bean.

Loved this place. Atmosphere had down to earth, hipster vibe. Not necessarily my thing but they did it well. Servers were friendly, like they actually enjoyed their job. Barista made our drinks and food right in front of us. Drinks were professionally prepared(with handmade whipped cream I might add). Pancakes were delicious, walnut and banana. Bacon was nice and crispy. My breakfast sandwich was easily one of the freshest I’ve ever had. My only complaint was that it took a while to get our food, but I think they were short staffed. Job well done.

It is really disappointing when prices on the menu are not listed for the different sizes for the«coffee of the day» or some of they other options that they offer, but cost half again as much as the regular item. They are almost always out of the dark/medium roast, and sometimes they are completely out of drip coffee. I’ve been coming here for years, but I think it’s about time to find a new coffee shop to study. The female workers they have are pretty rude when the objection of the prices come up, saying that that’s how it is basically. I understand that they don’t make the prices, but it really needs to be brought to the attention of the owners.

First time going there this week. I had a vanilla chai latte and Greek salad. The latte was really good, I enjoyed it a lot! I’ve yet to see a chai latte with foam and this had foam so that was cool. The salad was delicious! Especially the dressing. Enjoyed it a lot. Busy place lots of students working on their laptops. Only thing I’d suggest is they need to hire another person. The poor guy at the counter was the only one their minus the cook. So He had to take order, make drinks and do everything by himself. That’s probably why people complain about slow service here. Easily resolvable if they hired another person. A little expensive to. For my two items it was $ 15. But overall good food, good chai latte, nice environment.

Hardly even worth one star. I go in and the girl who comes up to the counter to take my order YAWNS right in my face. I asked what the soup is today and she pointed to some sign that was hard to see and even harder to read. I said, «Can’t you just tell me?» And she replied, «well it changes every day». Ooookay so apparently you just rolled out of bed and wasn’t even awake enough to hear what today’s soup is when you came in to work. By the way, she YAWNED a 2nd time and her hair was all messed up, sort of like wanna-be dreadlocks. I wouldn’t be surprised if she were still her pajamas. I decided to leave w/o ordering because it was obvious that she didn’t care about customers and that they are why she gets a paycheck! I did holler back on my way out the door, «you need to go back to bed!!»

I could’ve written this review maybe ten years ago when I first visited. I’m still pleased with the cozy neighborhood community feel this coffee shop offers. I’m also aware of their community support providing musicisns, poets, and other budding performers a little limelight. the food here is consistently at the top of yummy, as I’ve tried just about everything they offer. somebody is doing something right since the staff like Nick D. appear really happy to serve the next customer. The only slight drawback, on occasion is seating us often 60% taken by students on laptops taking advantage of WIFI, but they are our community too and Campus Coffee Bean provides a cozy place for them too.

I have worked in a coffee shop and other various customer service oriented positions, and I have to say there is nothing appealing about this shop, the beverages(didn’t try the food), or the service. Really the only plus is the nice scenic view from the patio. The girl working behind the counter didn’t greet me when I walked up to order, and pretty much ignored me until she finished what she was doing. Granted, she was busy making a drink, but it’s still good customer service to acknowledge a waiting customer — That was the first part i had a problem with. She was nice when she took my order, but as soon as I payed she went back to ignoring me as she made my drink. I noticed that the only straws they have are behind the counter, and they are all sleeveless straws that are exposed. When she finished making my drink she grabbed the straw with her bare hands(I hadn’t seen her wash her hands up until this point), stuck it in my drink, and put the beverage beneath a heat lamp without a word. I understand the intention behind the heat lamp, but you don’t put a frozen beverage underneath one. And, the fact that she grabbed my straw with her bare hands really grossed me out.

In a town full of great coffee shops, this stands as one of the best. Not only do they serve great beverages, but they serve a wide assortment of food ranging from breakfast sandwiches, to waffles, to hamburgers. They also have wifi, and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. So in short, it’s the perfect destination for a working college student. However, this place has a tendency to become very crowded and noisy. Also, some of the seats are awkwardly placed so it can get cramped. Finally, I feel that this place tries too hard to be all things to everyone, which results in the barista’s and the cooks to become confused about what to prepare at times and how, which could lead to long waits for food and drinks. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it can be frustrating. It’s a great coffee shop nonetheless.

I go here way too often. More than Starbucks! The reason I choose this café is mainly because of the proximity to NAU and where I live. I like that there’s plenty of seating indoors and outdoors as well. This has become my ritual spot for study sessions, but be warned, wifi can get annoyingly slow. Especially during their busier hours. If I am honest I would say their food is just mediocre. The prices are on the steep side as well. I remember one time I came here after class for lunch and it pretty much burned a hole in my wallet. All I got was their Gyro Salad($ 7.95) and a strawberry banana smoothie… The total was $ 15.76. The smoothie was absolutely flavorless, too. A girlfriend got their passion fruit smoothie once and barely drank half, since it was too sweet. Smoothies NOT recommended. The only one I enjoyed was their taro one. RECOMMENDED: Omelettes! I usually get their Flagstaff Omelette(~$ 6.95) and I love that it comes with your choice of toast and potatoes. I feel that’s a fair price for what it is. I also would suggest getting their combination specials. They have a deal for a ham/cheese croissant or bagel with a side of coffee for $ 4.95. I think you can also do that deal with any pastry in their display case. Can’t forget! Happy hour everyday 4 – 6 pm. All drinks are buy one, get one free. What’s great about this spot is that there’s tons of foods and drinks to choose from! Plus, the atmosphere is perfect for getting some work done with some buddies. Convenient location walking distance from campus.

This is a great place to grab an espresso drink and some breakfast or lunch. They have a short order grill as well as a wide selection baked goods and of teas in addition to coffee drinks. My personal favorite is the egg and cheese croissant. This place is popular with students. most of the time it is a good place to study. When I worked at the University I would hold team meetings here once a month or so. They have a stage that hosts local artists some evenings. It is not a good place to study when a band is playing due to the noise and crowd.

I was passing through Flagstaff and I always prefer to take my business to local shops as opposed to chains like Starbucks. This place was so cozy and had an extensive menu for breakfast lovers. I was content with just a bagel and butter but what I LOVED was their giant array of teas to choose from! Literally 2 walls lines with various teas to choose from. I wish I had that set up at home. The wait to order and receive my bagel was pretty long, but they were busy and the guy ringing me up was also who was making the drinks and bagels as well. I tipped him for the hustle because I left a happy girl :)
