So much YES here! We were on vacation in Sedona and the unseasonably hot temps sent us north to Flagstaff more often than usual. This is always a special week for us and we hike like crazy and allow ourselves many many more treats than usual, so glad Sugar Mamas could help us in this department. The first time we went, we were on a quest for peanut butter cookies and we were thrilled at the huge fresh ones in the display case. We couldn’t possibly have shared, so we bought two and then saw the peanut butter brownies and purchased one of those as well. We ate the cookies soon upon our arrival back to our cabin in Oak Creek Canyon, overjoyed at the rich peanut flavor and dense chewy texture. They were perfect. We saved the brownie for later and absolutely loved it. It was chocolatey and peanutty and the texture was smooth with a hint of crisp at the edge. At this point we knew we would have to hit Sugar Mamas again before heading back to Texas. The next visit we got two more peanut butter cookies, a chocolate chip (for my husband) and a ginger (for me). I absolutely love ginger cookies but I’m a little picky, the friendly girl at the counter assured me they were wonderful and she was right. Wow! One of the best cookies I’ve ever had, so spicy and soft, lots of good chew, deep molasses flavor, the ideal ginger. I will says that while my husband enjoyed his chocolate chip, he said he’s had others that were just as good (and that mine are better). They are on the pricier side, but the sizes are large and the quality is high, to us they were worth every penny.

Called to be sure they could manage a 8 inch German Chocolate cake was told no problem but I wanted to come in. I arrived as was created by an annoyed owner who informed me that she was limiting orders for Saturday. Ok so when I called why wasn’t told this was a problem? The visit went down hill from there I ultimately went to Wholefoods why would I order from someone pay $ 55.00 and have it messed up because you don’t want my business? Great cake for ½ the price and they wanted my business!

Wedding cake/​brownies/​cookies deliciousness!
We ordered our wedding desserts from Sugar Mamas purely off Unilocal reviews, and the Unilocalers know what’s up! We were very happy with everything we ordered!
Wedding cake– the cake was moist and delicious. (We had chocolate cake with espresso frosting)
Cheesecake brownies– As my husband puts it «Now that’s a brownie» They are huge in size and the perfect consistency of a brownie– ooey gooey
Chocolate chip cookies– these things were gone in a flash from our dessert bar! Huge and perfect. Crispy outside and soft delicious middle.
The only negative is this place has very limited hours. We needed our cake early morning and they don’t open until 10 am. We had to send someone after it just a couple hours before the wedding. Quality and taste were both wonderful and we would use their services again in a heartbeat!

We used Sugar Mamas for our wedding cake and it was absolutely fantastic! Lexi, the owner, was so professional and on point at my tasting that I knew she was the one! My husband couldn’t make it to the tasting and she was sweet enough to make two mini cakes to take home to him! The guests raved about the taste (we did red velvet and carrot) and the cakes we had looked incredible! Lexi will tell you that they never freeze your cake like other places will and you can tell the difference! I wished we lived in Flagstaff so we could frequent this wonderful business more often! Thank you Sugar Mamas for an incredible wedding cake and groom’s cake!

Above and beyond great! Amazing homemade sweets! I had a cupcake and tried a key lime cheesecake. Both were sweet, flavorful, dimensional and I wish we lived here so we could become regulars!

We love cupcakes. We ordered a strawberry vanilla and a strawberry lemonade cupcake. So yummy!
Then out of the blue the baker said, «We also make fresh homemade challah on Fridays and Saturdays.» I think the heavens parted and there were angels singing because when I decided to stay in Flagstaff for a while I searched the city for challah for the high holy days. Now I know just where to go … sugar mamas.

Wedding Cupcake Success!
We used Sugar Mamas for our wedding cupcakes and sweetheart cake and what a great choice! Everything from the personalized tasting to the final product was amazing! We were able to order various flavor combinations so that we had something for all of our guests. Everyone had nothing but compliments for them! We would highly recommend Sugar Mamas if you are planning a Flagstaff wedding, you will not be disappointed!

First place I ever stumbled upon when I moved to flagstaff 4 years ago!!! And in all the years I have been here Sugar Mamas has never been dissapointing. There donut holes are amazing. Also best chocolate chip cookies I have ever had!!!

So happy that we spotted this place! After a disappointing lunch experience across the street… Definitely made me feel better!
They had two shelves of sweets… super cute sweets and pretty yummy!
My favorites were the salted caramel brownie and the key lime pie! Yummy!

I was walking by and decided to stop in. I had a cheesecake brownie that was really good!
I also bought a muffin that was definitely not made this morning … Maybe from yesterday’s batch? It was okay but I felt a little over-​priced.

The cupcakes are fairly good. The frosting was perfect. Not too rich or thick, and just the right amount. The raspberry lemon was amazing with delicious real raspberry filling. My only hangup with the cupcakes is that the cake part itself is heavy and more like a muffin instead of light and fluffy like I was expecting. But the flavor and taste was great!

THANK YOU TO SUGAR MAMAS! I am from Southern California and my son was getting married there in Flagstaff. I am completely unfamiliar with Flagstaff, yet I needed a way to find desserts for the rehearsal dinner being held in that area. I checked on Unilocal in hopes of finding a dependable business to help me out. SUGAR MAMAS more than fit the bill. Not only did they provide an array of delicious desserts, they also made one of the most delicious cakes I’ve ever had for another function we were attending while in the area. Many phone calls were exchanged between us before the actual event. The entire experience with Sugar Mamas was handled professionally, every detail was discussed thoroughly, the order was accurate, everything was FRESH and ready when they said it would be ready, and most importantly, everything was absolutely DELICIOUS. I absolutely recommend this bakery. Thanks, again, Sugar Mamas!

I have wanted to try Sugar Mama’s for some time now and during my last trip to Flagstaff, I came here with my sister-​in-​law. We were walking around downtown Flagstaff and decided to get a sweet treat. At first glance, the outside and inside isn’t much to look at. If I wasn’t specifically looking for sweets, I might not know to pop in Sugar Mama’s. The inside has two display cases with empty counter space between them and a cash register to the far right. Behind the counters is a prep area with storage and a wall of cookie cutters. (They had some interesting shapes!)
When we entered, there were two employees working and a customer discussing a custom order. We were greeted with a friendly hello and offer to help. After scrutinizing the delicious looking contents of the two glass displays, I decided on purchasing some cookies. They had several cookie flavors to choose from, but I went with the classic chocolate chip and ginger molasses cookies. Additionally, they had sugar cookies, cupcakes, chocolate covered strawberries and a few other miscellaneous pastries. The cupcakes looked delicious, but none of the flavors stood out. My sister-​in-​law purchased some chocolate covered strawberries, which she inhaled later that evening. I enjoyed the chocolate chip cookies and my husband loved his ginger molasses cookie. (So did my father-​in-​law.)
Overall, we liked our purchases. If they had more variety of cupcake flavors, I’d love to come back and give them a try.

I had a horrible experience here!
My mother-​in-​law and grandmother-​in-​law were in town visiting and we were looking for places to order our wedding cake from. We had just come from «A Touch of Sugar» (whom I recommend!) and had basic questions about cakes. The woman there was very rude and short to my 101 year old grandmother-​in-​law who was asking for a ball park price, price of delivery, tasting fees, etc.
When I showed her the design I was interested in she said «Its never going to look like how you want it»… not a real selling point!
Then we bought a few cupcakes to try out the taste… and they were completely stale and hard as a rock!
I would not suggest this place to anyone!

Awesome stuff, a huge selection and great prices for the high quality. Nice people too!

Sugar Mamas always has the BEST baked goods in town! This small, local owned and operated business has a special place in our heart. The staff does an amazing job and makes you fell like an old friend as soon as you walk in the door :) Amazing pastries and sweets that taste like heaven and melt in your mouth. We stop here every time we are in Flagstaff!

I have bought a bourbon pecan pie and a few other little treats from this place over the last few months. The pie I ordered was way too sweet for my tastes, but was decent overall. I’ve also always bought the cupcakes, cookies, and brownies after 3PM, so I suppose that everything is made in the morning and that over the day things just get a bit stale. Overall, however, I really do enjoy coming to this location and would definitely recommend it.

My son attends NAU and for his very first birthday away from home I wanted to have some spectacular cupcakes delivered to his dorm. Sugar Mamas’ schedule was tight, but they gladly accommodated my special request and delivered them (not their normal gig). Lexi was incredibly helpful in taking the order and making sure it was delivered to the dorm on time. My son and his roommates absolutely raved about the cupcakes (chocolate and red velvet). It was a sweet Cupcake Party at Wilson Hall! Special thanks to Lexi for making my son’s birthday extra special. I highly recommend Sugar Mamas and we can’t wait to try some of their treats the next time we visit Flag. Thumbs up, Mamas!

Best bakery in the world!!! I was forced to send a cake box full of goodies to my house hold back in Philly, only to come home to an empty box and a happy house hold. Go to sugar mamas!!! Or if you don’t enjoy life then don’t go.
