The service was pretty good, our waitress was pleasant and checked in on us. The food portions were huge. My daughter ordered a «small calzone» and it was bigger than any other pizza place I know has served. The children’s chicken fingers and fries was large enough for an adult. My arugula salad with salmon was ok… the salmon was little over cooked. It’s a typical Italian /pizza place. The décor was nice, however, the place smelled funny. I expected to smell pizza or the wonderful smell of Italian food. Instead, I smelled damp wet mop. The cups also did not smell clean. I’ve worked in chain restaurants before and know the smell of the dish-washing section in the kitchen.

We showed up early on Father’s Day after my daughter’s dance recital. We didn’t have reservations because we had no way of knowing when the recital would end. They looked at us like we had two heads when we said we didn’t have a reservation. Keep in mind, they had about a dozen empty tables. The host went back to the manager to ask if there was anything that could do. She came back to us and asked if we wanted to sit outside. It was 94 degrees out so we said no. Again we got a look like we had two heads. She said let me go talk to ny manager again. Needless to say, we moved on and we won’t me returning.

Like the new location and look. Was greeted promptly and the waitress was very attentive. Overall the service was excellent. The house salad was simple and fresh. Bread was served warm and was very good. I had chicken parm and my wife had eggplant parm. Both plates were delicious.

Really great fresh food! I have only been for lunch but have enjoyed the pizzas I have ordered both times. Fresh ingredients and very clean. The service can be a little slow, but overall a good experience!

We had my daughters graduation party here. The staff was attentive and helpful with the setup for the party. The room was perfect for fifty people. The service was great, lthe food was delicious and our guests enjoyed themselves. I highly recommend Al Fresco’s and look forward to enjoying another meal there!

I arrived here at about 1:45 that end of the lunch rush! My servers name is Bonnie! She greeted me right away asking me what I wanted to drink! She brought me a bottle of chilled water with lemon as I requested! Ordered there Chicken Franchise! It comes with a house salad with there own made dressing! It taste very good! I do like they remove the seeds in there cucumbers! The service is great here very speedy and fresh! My food came out fast and hot! Bonnie has checked on me a few times making sure my food was ok! She is very tentative to her customer! I would recommend people to request her to be your server! The sauce is not over powering! For me I prefer it a bit more tangy with a bit more lemon for my taste! Just my preference ! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! Food was great here pasta is el denta! I added shrimp to it was also very fresh! They do Not Give a Military discount here! If you like my reviews please request to follow me You never know where I will be next!

Really nice atmosphere and really good food. Compared to Alfonso’s on 202, it is VERY different although I believe this is the same place only moved. If that’s the case, I don’t see why it was not publicized more. I found it confusing to go to this new place as it is kind of the upscale cousin of Alfonso’s and very dissimilar. I doubt soccer teams, etc will be coming here but I guess this new place is not going for that clientele. As Bensi had a liquor license was also confused that Al Fresco did not. Putting ALL that behind me and just thinking about this establishment, the food is good, the service friendly and we will probably return.

Not very hospitable. We arrived early, at 4:30, and my husband was meeting us. They refused to seat us until he arrived. Which would be ok if it were crowded, or a Saturday night. There was one other table seated. We weren’t waiting to order anyhow, since we were on our way to sports. The owner made a ‘huge deal’ about allowing me and my daughter to sit — just this one time. We ordered, and before our drinks arrived; my husband sat down(he was 5 minutes away — it was really a matter of a traffic light.) Our waitress was lovely, and very attentive. The food was mediocre at best. Most likely because the owner put a bad taste in my experience at the onset. We ate, we paid, and the place had six more tables by then. That amounts to 20 open tables, at least. Not exactly on my list of return trips. Sorry Al Fresco’s. Huge mistake!

I have had take out from Alfrescos now 4 times and each time the food has been excellent Very pleasant and attentive staff I wish I lived closer so I could get delivery OK this is our tenth time at alfresco and once again we had a fabulous dining experience however when we placed the order we had ordered a Salumeria salad and instead got the calamari caprese salad of which we did enjoy at all it was greasy and the lettuce was wilted from the hot calamari Wish I would have called to complain

We have always liked the food at Alfonso’s on 202, but not the bright lights so we usually got take out from there, and and have been to Al Fresco’s quite a few times since they opened. h Last week my husband and I went to Al Fresco’s, ordered dinner, the waiter was a very personable, helpful young man. Not even sixty seconds and that is not an exaggeration at all, after the salads were brought to our table the entrée was served to us! We just looked at the server who was not our waiter and said we were just served the salad a few seconds ago, she shrugged her shoulders & smiled. We later learned she did not speak much English, then why was she on the floor? She then must have indicated to this person who we were eventually told was the manager, that we were not happy about something, so he came over to our table. We told him our dinner came out about twenty seconds after the salad, he said he did not know why this happened, he is used to working at fine dining restaurants, such a stupid statement! What does that have to do with the food being bought out that fast? We have dinner out often they are not all fine dining establishments, some are just pizzerias/Italian restaurants, and not fine dining at all, they know enough not to bring the food out until after you are done with the salad! We told the waiter, who was a young high school boy, so it seemed he was, he said the manager tells that to everyone about working in fine dining and does not know why he keeps telling people that. The young waiter said it was most likely because there is no wait that the entrée was served so soon, that is what we thought, it was very empty, although the kitchen staff should be told or know better. The young waiter had a lot more intelligence then the manager who after he kept telling us about woking in fine dining offered to send the dinners back and have them remake it, we were not doing that at all. This is the first time I have ever written a negative review about a restaurant, and we have been going out to dinner very often for well over 25 years. The chicken special was not very good either, we usually think their food is pretty good. Have a feeling we will not be going back there. They need to train their managers and chefs better.

Maybe we just caught them on a bad night but we probably won’t go back given there are plenty of better Italian restaurants in Flemington. I had chicken and arugula salad sub. Chicken was perfect; salad was tasty but sub was drenched in oil. My husband had cheesesteak and it was very dry. Staff was very inattentive. We felt like we were bothering them.

I had the seafood Alfredo! It was awesome. Best Alfredo sauce I have had in a very long time! The dinner rolls and house salad were great too. It’s not too fancy so no need to get all dressed up. We also had the plain pizza and came out perfect. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants italian food one step above a pizza restaurant. Service was great. Very attentive to our needs. I will definitely be back

Wanted to see if the food was any different than Alfonso’s. We had Buffalo calamari which was a generous portion but the coating was not as crispy as others that I’ve had. I had the chicken portobello which was very bland and the sauce was thinnest. My husband had the tilapia francese which had no real flavor or seasoning. Our salad and rolls were delivered WITH the appetizer and about 7 minutes later our entrees were delivered. They were efficient but definitely not a meal to linger over. Also they cleared the salad and plates without asking if we were finished. Our waiter was good and not the one who delivered our food. Not impressed. Will try one more time for pizza

They said it was the same as Alfonso’s and that they just moved. I must cater from Alfonso’s at least 2 – 3 times a month so I ordered… Not only did they charge an extra«catering» charge(which technically it was delivery for about 10 – 12 people) but the food was NOT the same as Alfonso’s used to be. The portions were much smaller, and sauces seemed watered down or less tasty. Even the pizza was not very good. Why bother putting food in a half tray if you don’t give enough food to cover the bottom of it? Oh, and charge me for a half tray? One star because the driver came on time as promised.

We went here for the first time this evening and loved it. We started with fried calamari. We got a very generous portion that was cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. One of use had a Chicken Parmesan that was crispy and juicy. The rest had seafood dishes — the Fettucine Carnavale and Salmon Porto Fino, which came with a luscious lobster sauce that made me wish I had a spoon, and the Pan-Seared Red Snapper, which was light and flavorful. The all the fish was perfectly cooked. I also ordered my meal with gluten-free pasta. I was a little hesitant to order it because I’ve never had good luck with it before, but I decided take a chance. It was the best GF penne I’ve ever had. I wish I could make it like that at home. Even though the restaurant was busy, the service was still friendly and attentive. There was only one minor disappointment with the dessert. We ordered Tiramisu, which, although it was tasty, it was mostly whipped cream. You really had to dig through it to get to the cake. All in all, though, this restaurant was good experience and a good value. The portions were generous, the prices were reasonable, the restaurant is warm, inviting, and tastefully decorated, and the service is gracious and attentive. it was a wonderful meal and we will definitely be back.

I got take out for my wife and me. We ordered Ceasar salads, but what we got was salads without the dressing just Romain lettuce and croutons. my wife ordered Cavalli & broccoli which was swimming Garlic and butter, it was like soup not a creamy sauce like it should have been. I ordered Rigatoni Bolognese which was bland it was missing carrots, touch of cream and parmesan, and the noodles where very under cooked. Not like the original Alfansos, very disappointed.

Egg plant parm sandwich was so greasy we couldn’t eat it and the pizza was below average, not somewhere I would recommend or go back to.

A lesson in mediocrity. My chicken trentino was chicken over linguine swimming in a white almost lemon sauce. My husband’s pizza was fresh and crispy but bland. The salad is iceberg — that says it all.

Best Italian at best price. Tuesday is by one get one pizza free. Absolutely delicious and there is no way you’re going to finish one pizza let alone two. Really nothing compares in Flemington.
