Great little Italian restaurant that stands out in an area loaded with them. Take out or eat-in, the casual restaurant part is nice. The food is excellent, the salad dressing phenomenal. The waitresses are very friendly and one of the best parts is that it’s a BYOB and there’s a liquor store right next to the restaurant. Also the prices here are extremely reasonable.

Solid enough spot. I didn’t realize they had a casual pizza, eat-in area. There are 2 sections: they have a large dining room and a pizzeria area. I stopped over here the other day and they had a pretty large slice pie selection(cheesesteak, buffalo chicken, chicken parm, etc.). I wasn’t in a pizza mood so I ordered one of their sandwiches. I had an Italian sub. It was served pretty quickly and I added hot peppers. Everything was pretty fresh but they did not throw a lot of hot peppers on it. It was pretty good. Definitely not the best sub I’ve ever had but nothing wrong, either. I’ll definitely come back but I’m going to give their pizza a shot on my next visit. As an FYI, they’re in the same complex as Little Brothers Beverage.

This is one of our«go-to» places. We’ve NEVER had a bad meal here. We’ve been dining here for several years… long before it was«discovered». Back in the«old days», you could walk in and get a table without a reservation, and the prices of the meals were cheap! The food is just as good, if not better, but the prices have gotten too high, in our opinion. We still eat here at least once a month, and most of the time, I try to order one of the specials. Their Sweet and Sour Calamari, is DELICIOUS! Ive never been disappointed. Staff is VERY attentive and friendly. Atmosphere is okay, they do have a back room, if you want to have a small party, as I have for my husband’s birthday. BEST part is that it’s BYOB, AND there is a liquor store right next door! We highly recommend this place.

Pretty darned good. I had the frutti de mare — seafood over pasta. Very good. It was around $ 26, though. There are cheaper entrees, but there are a good many around that $ 26 price. Had a sweet and sour calamari appy that was really good.(You will not get pre-breaded, frozen in a bag food here.) Service was great. The atmosphere is nice, not attaining elegance, but you could take anyone here or go on a special occasion and be comfortable. This is no pizzeria. There is a bar, but we went straight into the restaurant, so I can’t comment on that. We went at around 5pm on Father’s Day and we were seated immediately. I would recommend this place to anyone. I don’t give 5 stars easily, so consider my 4 stars a «very good» rating.

Terrible food, terrible service. I went here recently hoping it would be similar to Capo, the restaurant in the same location years ago that was pretty decent. The interior looked very similar if not exactly the same so I had my hopes high that the food, too, would be unchanged. However, that was not the case. We ordered a Brooklyn pie for an appetizer. Other than it being underdone, the pizza was actually pretty decent with very fresh basil and a sweet sauce that may be appealing to some. As for the main meal, I ordered the flank steak panini — in reality, it is just a sandwich. The bread was never pressed nor was it cooked at all — just a very normal sandwich roll cut in half. However, the real problem was that the entire sandwich tasted exactly like a McDonald’s breakfast steak sandwich. It was truly one of the worst panini sandwiches I’ve ever eaten if not one of the worst meals I’ve ever ordered. As for the service, the waiter was in a bad mood and made no effort to hide that fact. They would not accommodate anything, including switching fries for another side that was on the menu, even for an additional fee. While we were eating and just talking, he stood five feet from our table staring at us, laughing at our stories, etc. It was very uncomfortable. For those reasons, I can’t imagine ever returning.

Their pepperoni pizza is great, especially when you ask for the pepperoni extra crispy. We’ve also ordered the eggplant parm dinner here and they give you a huge portion, was enough for 2 meals. Have had consistently good food each time we’ve ordered from them.

Went for my birthday dinner last night. We got the special sweet and sour calamari and clans casino for app. Calamari was fantastic, breading great and very tender. I didn’t have the clans but was told they were good not great. I got the chicken sorrento and it was sooo good! Everyone else loved their entrée as well. Cannoli tiramisu and derby pie was all very good. Byob helps with the bill also. Service was very good as well. Would absolutely recommend to anyone.

This place has a very nice décor. The service was good and friendly. My kids got pizza and I got he fried calamari and arugula salad. The food is decent and I will be back to try other dishes. The only complaint I have is, every time I order pizza from this place the cheese always completely comes off the pizza. I know that it happens every now and then will all pizzas but I’m wondering if they do something different over here? It happens all the time and with all of the slices. Weird.

I was here for a work holiday party. It was lunch time and the service was a bit indifferent. Server only refilled drinks for half the table? Food was better than I expected. Calamari was fresh and not chewy. Gnocchi was pillowy and light, I requested it with a variant sauce and there were no issues. Didn’t try dessert. Décor was ok, pretty open and bright with some holiday lights etc. Price per person seemed a bit higher than I expected in flemington, but as I wasn’t the one paying, I didn’t mind. Probably wouldn’t go back because it wasn’t very interesting or amazingly well done.

What a great choice for dinner. The meals are made with the freshest ingredients. There isn’t a meal we haven’t enjoyed! I am especially fond of their pasta fagoli soup, fresh mozzarella and stuffed rigatoni! If it’s pizza you are craving, then swing by for a pie! They make an exceptional pizza pie’

My family is new to the Flemington area and was looking for a great Italian restaurant, and we looked to Unilocal for suggestions. It didn’t steer us wrong with this place! We’ve been back a couple times already and each time food was delicious. We also tried the pizza which was also great. Servers are prompt and courteous, pricing is reasonable too.

Definitely a place worth revisting! I know it seems a bit odd, but if a restaurant offers mozzarella sticks, I will order them as a litmus test. Capuano’s is one of the few that passed the test. 95% of the time, the mozzarella sticks you get at restaurants are the same: crunchy, bland, just some frozen things that all restaurants fry and serve. Capuano’s were long, thin, with parmesan and italian seasoning. Yum! But forget the yummy mozzarella sticks. Let’s talk about the bread! REAL italian bread. Not a baguette. Not a bunch of rolls, but a ¼ of a real round italian loaf. Prior to being put on the table, it is kept in an oven, so even though it is presliced, it is steaming hot and fresh when it arrives. I’d have preferred butter instead of the seasoned olive oil that is served, but OMG this bread was so good I was happy to eat it plain. There were only 2 of us, and within 2 minutes of the bread hitting the table, we had devoured it. The waitress brought us a new one. When that was almost gone, she asked if we wanted more bread. Normally I’d have been embarrassed that we had eaten so much of it(oink!), but our waitress had asked in such a friendly manner, I didn’t feel bad. Or maybe they are just so used to people eating so much of it, because it’s so good? We dined around 530PM on Saturday, and the restaurant wasn’t crowded at all. Maybe that’s why we had so little wait time in between dishes, and our food arrived hot. Large, cooked to perfection portions. My chicken parm had an awesome nice layer of mozzarella(I really, really hate when I order parmigiana and the cheese is just barely dotted across the top). The only thing disappointment was the crab bisque. It was more vegetable than crab, more of a celery flavor. On the plus side, it was just buttery enough to coat my spoon without being greasy with butter. Service was attentive, professional and personable. Upon walking through the door, I had anticipated our dinner to cost more than it did. Capuano’s just seems like one of those places where you expect to pay more, from the appearance of the restaurant and the sfatt. I wanted to leave 4 stars because of the bisque. But I can’t. I just can’t. The service, price and everything else was just too good. Next time I’m gonna ask for butter with my bread and skip the appetizer ;-)

This is a staple for us in the Clinton area. It’s always consistent and the prices are good. The wait staff is efficient and it’s never packed. I’ve had several different dishes and all of them have been good. The atmosphere inside is nice and generally quiet and it is kid friendly. We go here a couple of times a month and have nothing bad to say about it. The outdoor seating is new but we sat out there once and though it’s right up against the. Parking lot it was fine. There’s a great room in the back for a group. Worth the trip.

Food here is pretty good and a good value, our server was nice enough, food came out of the kitchen fast, and it’s BYOB. Good all around, not worth a journey but a good choice if you are shopping in Flemington. This is another of the typical side by side pizzerias and sit down restaurants. Most often they have separate entrances. At Capuano’s you walk into the pizzeria and step thru a second door to the restaurant. Just a little odd, but not a problem. Restaurant décor is just a little tacky but not a serious problem either. Paper napkins, no linens. My wife and I started with the cold antipasto, lots of very nice mozzarella, some decent prosciutto, tomatoes and olives plus a few pieces of roasted peppers — nice. bread was served with a good olive oil — also a plus. House salad was just OK, soup was just OK. My wife had a chicken and pasta dish which was fine. I went with the farfalle ala paolo — with sausage and broccoli rabe — also very good. Nice place we will be back.

I ate here for for a business lunch, while we were between meetings. We found the place to be quiet, yet comfortable. We ordered the soup of the day and a shrimp pasta. Both dishes were good. The sauce was just ok. Living near Philadelphia with all the good italian places made this place seem just ok.

Came after Diamond Nation tournament down the road. So glad to find this gem of a restaurant in a nondescript strip mall. Although I guess you can say it is in the Reebok and Rockport Outlet strip mall. Other bonus is its location by a large beverage warehouse place. But I digress, had wonderful hot antipasto with broth so delicious we used up the equally delicious, crusty breast to sup up the perfect sauce. Kids’ ravioli portions were large and tasted homemade with semolina and not the frozen stuff used to getting. Chicken Alfredo was light and creamy, and our 13-year old declared it «Unbelievable!» My parents had soup(bit too thick for their liking) and pizza. All in all, great find for great food with very attentive staff. Will be back if back outlet shopping in Flemington or back for tournaments.

Sat in the take out/pizzeria portion of the restaurant. Place was clean, Pizza was good. the seating is limited, and all of the seats seem to be too close to the front door, so it could possibly be cold on a winter day… Other than that… can’t go wrong with a slice!
