Spontaneous lunch with my wife on Main Street. This place looked interesting. Great decision. We enjoyed fresh salads and sandwiches. Mine was goat cheese on salad, nuts, grilled chicken. My wife was panini and side salad. Green iced tea was delicious. Reasonable $ 23 for us both. Delicious and fresh.

Nice little lunch spot on Main Street with options to dine indoors or out (two small tables out front). The roast beef wrap special was pretty good (roast beef, mozzarella, portobellos, peppers and whole grain mustard), though I wish there had been a bit more mustard and would have preferred fresh mozzarella over sliced.
Service is friendly and pretty efficient. I would definitely come back.

One of my favorite lunch places in Flemington. Everything here is good and made fresh to order. My favorite is a turkey and brie sandwich with raspberry preserves on ciabatta and they grill it so the brie melts. It’s extremely yummy!!! Give them a try.

Great little place on Main Street to eat healthy. Great specials that involve local sourced meats and veggies. Owner was very nice and accommodating. Would definitely swing by here again if going through the area.

We love this funky little place. Delicious everything! And her use of locally-​sourced, as well as organic, ingredients is great! I’ve had numerous salads (always hard to choose but the one with fresh Jersey peaches last week was incredible), buckwheat pancakes and terrific iced coffee. My husband and kids love her local, grass-​fed burgers, smoothies and baked goods. Haven’t had anything there that wasn’t terrific! Owner-​operated. Home-​made everything. Our regular stop when anywhere near Flemington.

I’ve ate a lot of places but the buffalo chicken wrap here was the best… no doubt.
It’s healthy food but they need to get rid of that unhealthy meat (pork)

Pleasantly surprised by this place. My husband and I were in the area and decided to give this a try. It doesn’t look like much but the food was good and it was nutritious. I had their chicken Brie and fig panini – all locally sourced. What a delicious treat!

I always believed that an establishment should have consistent hours! I saw the new sign, they are open at 10, no more breakfasts… weird. They are also closed on Sunday… back to the bagel shop or Shaker.

I was in the area and wanted to find a place to get a quick healthy lunch, so of course I did a Unilocal search and found this gem!
The atmosphere is small but colorful and inviting. The staff was very friendly and the woman who took my order helped to guide me to my choice of a turkey sandwich with cranberry mayo and a side of kale slaw. I was sold on the sandwich when she told me that the turkey is roasted in house.
Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. It’s wonderful to have found a local place that uses fresh and organic ingredients to create such healthy, creative options for lunch. I will definitely be back to try some other things on the menu!

My husband and I had always thought Flemington needed a good salad/​sandwich place. We had no idea Garden State had moved in until we were eating at 55 Main and saw it across the street! So exciting. We tried it a week later and were so happy to have discovered it.
I had the grilled veggie wrap with the potato/​sweet potato salad. Probably the best I’ve ever had. And that potato salad… I could have eaten an entire tub of it!
I highly recommend this place as their ingredients are fresh, the price is right, and and the selection is great!

Lovely lunch sitting outside today. The owner and staff were super friendly and attentive. Had the spinach salad with chicken and everything was fresh and delicious. The chicken was tender, moist, and nicely grilled, as were the veggies. The dressing was tasty and light and the plate was full! I definitely will return and have spread the word for others to visit.

Such a cute place. Had the mac and cheese special with organic broccoli and tomatoes. So cheesey and the veggies tasted super fresh. I also got the go green smoothie with all green veggies. They had a curry coconut cauliflower soup on the menu which I heard someone say it was so good. I’m definitely coming back.

Everything about this place I love. I have been here several times and everything I have had is fresh and delicious and as a vegetarian there are many healthy options. Every day there is a specials menu with great, new options. The owner is very friendly and I love supporting a local business. My only complaint is that they are closed on Sundays!

Stopped by Garden State Salad mainly because I wanted to find a healthy spot for lunch in that area. I got the toasted black bean wrap and a side salad. It was delicious. The owner was very attentive and friendly! I loved the idea that it’s all homemade, delicious and health conscious. Love!

The grilled veggie wrap was absolutely the best I’ve ever had. They put this delicious pesto on it. mmmmmm. It took me three meals to eat — it was huge!- and it was only like $ 6. They have a $ 10 card minumum, and I didn’t have any cash, so I ended up having to order an iced coffee, another drink, the wrap and a lemon bar for dessert. I liked that I got all the food for so cheap.
The iced coffee was awful, but the lemon bar was tasty. But I’m seriously craving that wrap as I write this… and it’s only 9am…
The inside is cute, and the waitstaff is about the nicest you can get. I love that community feel when people try to get to know you and are so friendly, and that’s what I got here.
I’ll be back!

Me and my wife really liked Garden State Salad. We had some coffee, some of the homemade organic muffins, and heuvos rancheros and it was really tasty. We also thought it was funny because Jesse eats this on the T.V. show Breaking Bad and we were watching it that day.
We liked the colorful environment and we though the inside was cozy, yet it is small. This reminded us a little of Shaker Café across the street, but in a very small toned down way. This is a good thing if you’re not in the mood to go to Shaker and deal with all the noise and people, or if you want something quicker. GSS is a great alternative.
It would be cool to maybe see some more unique things on the menu, than I would bump it up a star!
