Love the homemade bread. We actually get it from Mother Earth produce or we may not have ever had it. So happy to see that partnership.

We visit this bakery every week and always have excellent service. The food is delicious and the bread is great. We always go in the morning so we are probably spoiled with the great selection. But the early bird gets the worm and all that!

The folks even not trying to work harder. We never have time to go there first thing in the morning but by noon they do not have anything. And it is not because they have lines outside waiting to buy bread products, it is because they do not want to have more customers and bake another loads of goodies. I am very logical person. If you do not have anything on the shelves by noon, why don’t you close around noon? Nobody wants to buy yesterdays bread. I’ve been there 8!!! times around 11.30−12 p, m on the way back from work and the shelves are pretty much empty. and whatever is left on the shelves is leftovers from previous day and extremely expensive… Couple of times I sew bugs on the top of the sweets behind the counter and on the open bread. It was enough for me. Sorry, this is only my opinion and unfortunately bad experience with this place.

This bakery is awesome! A small bakery tucked away in a little shopping center in Fletcher. What a gem! Their danishes are SO perfect, the texture of the pastry has a slight crunch to it with a well balanced, not too sweet fruit filling. They are big enough to share too. Highly recommend! The scones are the best ever, they are not a dried out brick like so many others. They are moist, yet scone-like with lots of flavor. They also serve coffee and have fresh baked bread with a rotating schedule of different kinds of fresh bread. They will also slice it for you upon request. They do not have tables to sit & enjoy your treat so prepare to make it a to-go item. Lots of parking.

The food is excellent, but as with Blue Sky, I swear they are never open. I know it’s a bakery and I should expect to get up earlier to get here, but I never make it.

Delicious!!! I wanted a small sweet treat so bought a coconut macaroon wth a chocolate bottom and then drizzled with chocolate across the top. GLUTENFREE and not too sweet. Perfect. They also had a gluten free brownie which I’ll try next time. Small bakery tucked into a little shopping center. Easy and quick. Friendly and knowledgeable service.

The bagels… I didn’t expect to find a place that actually knows how to make bagels in Asheville. Not everyone who makes them really knows the proper way to prepare them. FVB does… crusty on the outside, light on the inside. They’re perfect. Worth a visit here just for the bagels, but everything else here is awesome too. If I had to list one con about this place… they only seem to make a small handful of bagels each day, and if you get there past 8AM or so, all the«good ones» are pretty much gone. They usually have around 3 or 4 varieties each day, and a number of times I’ve gotten there too late, only to find all that’s left is the«everything» bagels which from what I can gather, most people tend to pass on. They are unlike any«everything» bagel I’ve ever seen before; they look like they’re covered with bird feed or something. Oh well… get there early if you want the good ones!

Hidden in a plaza, you will find heaven. As another reviewer and my husband stated: «subtle». You will not get the sugar burn. Just the right amount of everything. Bearclaws, chocolate cupcakes with vanilla icing, and cranberry scones are perfect. Their cheese bagel is fabulous. The sourdough is real– tangy and medieval. Coffee is good, and they have the fixins’ for it. No tables, but there is a bench right out front. Nice gal works there. Prices are nice, too. Make your life nice, too, by treating yourself here.

Great little bakery tucked away in fletcher! It was a pleasant surprise to find out they not only have great baked goods(get the macaroons!) but also served espresso beverages. While I didn’t get the breads, they looked amazing and they must go quick in the morning since they seemed to be out of the special of the day. No seating inside or out but a great place to Pop in to pick up something as you go about your day!

Oh my, this place has wonderful baked goods. I work nearby and our lunch group stopped by one Friday for dessert. I had a raspberry danish and cinnamon swirl. Both were splendid, They weren’t killed with sugar and a complex array of really good flavors took center stage — natural wheat, good spice, fruit. We’ve stopped by every Friday since and find this same«less sweet is more» theme in all their sweets: danish, carrot cake, macaroons… I think a lot of bakers use a lot of sugar to cover up inferior ingredients. Here, you’re allowed to taste just how good all the other ingredients in a pastry are when not buried under a sugar tomb. Here, you can actually taste carrots in the carrot cake. The sticky bun has hints of rye and natural sorghum. And on and on… As for their bread… I bought 4 loaves for an out of town New Year’s party. My foodie friends raved about the bread and it was indeed most delicious. I brought a loaf of rye home for sandwiches. Most interesting flavor. Most times, rye bread has an overwhelming rye flavor. This bread has a subtle rye flavor which lets a lot of nice whole wheat flavor to come through. And I think ‘subtle’ sums up Fletcher Village Bakery perfectly. If you’re looking for gooey sweet desserts and plain old white bread, this might not be the bakery for you. But if you’re looking to stretch your taste buds a bit, you might just find that this is your new«go to» bakery. It’s definitely mine.

This place has become our go to Saturday morning ritual. We mostly get bagels there, however, my wife and have picked up cakes, scones, sticky buns, cupcakes… etc, and have never been disappointed. Wish they had a seating area so we can enjoy our breakfast as fresh as possible.

Chocolate croissants were delicious. Also had a day old spinach and feta scone that was great! Rosemary olive crusty bread was awesome. Will be back!
