I love a good Reuben, so when I was in this area had to try the place that has«The World’s Best Reuben» and I have to say I was not disappointed. It’s certainly the best I have had. My wife had a «create your own» sandwich and she said it was«pretty close to a religious experience». Her only complaint: not enough choices of cheese. The potato pancakes were great and the pickles were amazing. Izzy’s, if you read this, please open a location in Columbus!

Once again another disappointing visit. The soup was watered down and had little flavor. the potato cake could of been used for a hockey puck

Heaven on a plate. Can’t go wrong with just about any sandwich, but the Reuben is my favorite!

Izzy’s has the market on amazing reuben sandwiches and sinfully delicious potato pancakes. But they also have other delicious items that are made in-house. Their beef barley and chicken noodle soups are excellent. I also enjoy their potato salad and reuben salad. But for me, the real highlight of Izzy’s is the PICKLES! Izzy’s pickles are the BEST pickles anywhere!!! I’m a huge pickle fan and love to try different types of dill pickles. Izzy’s pickles are just the right balance of sour and dill, but not garlicky at all(a great thing in my opinion). Seriously, I have at least 2 jars of their pickles in my home fridge at all times. A tip: Izzy’s pickle juice is also great to use in Bloody Mary’s and Dirty Martinis.

I have been a patron of Izzy’s for fifty years. The food is just as good today as it was the first time I ate there. I am glad that there is now one here so I don’t have to go to Cinti to enjoy their great food. I can’t go without starting with a bowl of their cabbage soup, then pick any sandwich from the menu for a wonderful meal. But I’m sorry, I sure miss the good old days with IZZY and MOMMA in the original old place over in Cincinnati. That was a real dinning experience.

Saw the commercial on TV and knew I needed to try this place. I love Reuben’s and I’m pretty sure I just ate the best Reuben in the world! Pickles were delicious, coleslaw was great & the potato pancake was to die for. I’m sad I only got a half instead of a full. Will be back to try Matzo ball soup(only served on friday), so excited for that! The service was great as well! I came in right when they opened and I was greeted right away and ready to be helped.

Love Izzys, wish they had more locations through out Cincy. If your looking for a great Reuben give them a try. The potato cakes are also a nice change of pace.

Great experience! Anytime someone sits a small crock of handmade(fresh) pickles upon your table at the start of dinner service you know it’s going to be a meal that makes your heart smile! Well I was right! Small quick service restaurant. Serves beer bottles. Potato pancake wasn’t my fav, couldn’t eat it bc it was so fluffy and greasy all in the same bite lol. No biggie, I know a lot of people like them. The sandwich I had was a Reuben. It was incredible. I could pg eat half. I wanted to eat the whole thing and tuck a napkin in my shirt. It was crunchy tangy, savory, and rich. I left with a smile on my face! Yum!

Good place to stop if you are craving a Reuben, pickles and potato pancakes were yummy. Sauerkraut didn’t have much flavor.

You can’t go wrong with the Reuben or corned beef sandwiches, throw in a potato pancake and grab some barley soup! So so good!

I was always meh about Izzys but this one for some reason makes me crave it. The employees are always nice and friendly which is great. It does NOT have a Drive thru though it looks like it does. The drive thru is actually Starbucks.

Had not been here in a while, sure forgot what I missed. I took my girlfriend Toey for a quick cheap lunch. I ordered The Ruben whole sandwich and potato pancake. We split the lunch, which was perfect for us. The Ruben sandwich first comes with rye bread with sauerkraut, secret sauce and Ruben meat… it was awesome and the pickles on the side… OMG was great. I’m going to start coming here more often.

2nd time to dine at Izzy’s. THISPLACEISOFFTHECHAIN! The«Famous Reuben» is amazing! This place is a MUSTSTOP when in the Florence area. The service was good and my beverage stayed full — even brought a to go cup without asking.

Everything we ordered was delicious, which was surprising to me. The inside of the restaurant has a fast food feel. That isn’t necessarily a problem, however, I believe it should be reflected in the prices. For a very basic lunch, I would rather spend $ 10/person sitting in a comfortable booth. If corned beef is what you’re craving, definitely give it a try, but I would suggest ordering it to go.

I work as an Independent Living specialist for the disabled, so when I go into an establishment, my accessibility radar is always on. This restaurant is quite accessible for wheelchairs and those who have mobility issues and when I noticed a small problem for mobility in the rest rooms, the staff were not only happy to make the adjustment but thanked me for bringing it to their attention so that they could better serve their customers. Very impressed.

This is not a place to be confused with some of the unique deli’s(Cinci — Blue Ash Chili or CBus — Katzingers”) but they are a chain and is very good. I get their reuben and sweet and sour cabbage soup. Service — Table Service — Friendly and Fast Food — Good Cost — Meidum — Sandwich $ 8/Soup $ 3(this is not Subway). Enjoy!

Just thinking about Jewish delis and cured meats puts me in a Pavlovian trance. Not kidding. Whenever I think about pastrami my mouth begins to water and I need to quickly get what I am jonesing for. I lived in NYC during college and have had all the legends, and when I think of pastrami not much holds a candle to 2nd Ave Deli and Katz’s, but Izzy’s does hold its own in the Reubens department. Their Reubens, piled high with their delicious corn beef, kraut and Swiss cheese, are to die for. Also their potato pancakes are fantastic! The size of funnel cakes, these fried, starch laden, heart attack monsters, come with every sandwich and are great with spicy brown mustard. If you are feeling really adventurous there are some creative sandwiches to try. The Jeff Ruby, which has tons of goodies including slaw and chicken liver. For the more health conscience there is the Turkey Reuben served on a soft ciabatta bread, granted the thing is covered in 1000 island dressing and Swiss chess, so not sure how healthy it is for you. The portions are always good sizes, giving you enough to be a glutton for the day, or to have half a sandwich for a snack latter in the day. Oh and did I mention the pickles??? All you can eat at the tables, and when you want more you can buy them at Kroger. I take jars of these things back to NYC and give them as gifts. Does this Izzy’s have its drawbacks? Sure. For one the restaurant itself is pretty generic and sterile. You can tell the bread is nothing special, and don’t even get me started on the pastrami. Once you have had the real deal you just can’t go back. But for being a proud Deli dating over 100 years and to have survived being in Florence for several years, you have to be doing something right. Here you won’t feel like a movie star in NYC, but you can enjoy a great sandwich and reconnect with Cincinnati’s proud Jewish heritage. Mazel Tov!

The Reuben is good but the potato pancake was very disappointing, like this heavy deep fried blob of starch that was bland and dripping with grease. As for the service, it’s typical of any other Mall Rd. joint, the whole get in/get out kinda deal and if you ask about menu options, be prepared to be treated like a pariah.

I thought this place was great! Walked in, was greeted right away. I was alone so I sat near the kitchen. I knew what I wanted and ordered a Pastrami on Rye and it was outstanding. Not huge like what you’d get in NY. But really good. Loved the potato cake they serve with it. I also scored a 20% coupon off online so that was a plus. I highly recommend the place. It’s right next to Starbucks. I passed when I exited off the highway.

I have been to several Izzy’s locations throughout the Cincinnati area, but this one seems like it has gotten the least amount of love so far from Unilocalers. The great thing about Izzy’s is of course the Corned Beef Reuben and at every location, they are pretty much the same, excellent. Izzy’s is the closest thing you are gonna get to a Jewish sandwich shop in the Tri-State area and I have been eating their Reubens and potato pancakes since I was a kid. The portions are always fair for the prices and there is always an abundance of pickles, kraut and extra thousand island dressing if that is how you like it. In addition, the kids menu has gotten alot better and I have noticed that especially at this location it’s quite family friendly. I remember when Izzy’s was at the top of RT18 off of 75 and as a NKY resident I was sad when it left. But now that it’s back and on Mall Road, folks that don’t get downtown can still enjoy their Izzy’s.
