Will driving the east coast, I was starving and really wanted steak. We came upon this Outback and decided to stop in. We were seated right away. I ordered a ribeye steak cooked medium rare with a loaded baked potato. A side salad with ranch dressing also came with my order. The salad was fine, fresh, cold and just the right amount of dressing. Then my meal arrived. The steak was quite small but the potato was huge and looked so yummy. And it was. No complaints about that at all. The steak however was just ok I don’t know what’s happened to beef in this country, but it just no longer has flavor, just like the one I was eating. I was disappointed. But I ate it, wasn’t going to let a $ 16.00 lunch go to waste, Service was fine, no long waits for our food. Just wish the steak taste better.

Nauseating… litterally. «Ate» there tonight since the Bloomin Onion was, sudposed to be free… got a mound of soggy grease tge gi4st time, sent back and got over fried greasey mess and gave up on it, shrimp dinner matched… OLDOIL… dark brown greasy/limp fries, shrimp dark brown old oil taste. 2nd try was good on the shrimp and fries 1⁄3rd as good as McDonalds. Used the $ 5 off they gave us on bill to buy PEPTOBISMAL.

#310 We were driving thru Florence on our way home on I95 and stopped in for lunch so this review will only be for what wife and I had for a one time lunch. We ordered off the standard menu so I will assume that the Outback menu is the same wherever you are. I had the sliced Prime Rib Sandwich. Sounds good, right? Nice thin slices of prime rib on a Cibatta roll with grilled onions. Wrong. What came out was a nice Ciabatta roll with 3 slices of shoe leather that must have been roasted days ago and never ever looked like it had been prime. Not good. I was so tired and wanting to get back on the road I just picked at it, the fries were ok. Wife had the rib eye steak with baked potato. It was ok, you know, it’s Outback, how good can it be? The potato looked real good and it was huge. Service was very good. This is a typical Outback just like the others. You know what you’re getting into. There is a Longhorn just down the street, we should have stopped there, better food.

Service was decent but nothing spectacular. It took 30 minutes for us to get served. The blue cheese wedge salad was covered in salt and pepper and the dressing was a mix of balsamic and blue cheese which was an odd pairing. The quesadillas were very bland and the mushrooms were obviously not fresh. I was disappointed in the overall experience.

Ordered curbside service while in town for work and had a great experience. My order was ready a few minutes early, prime rib was cooked to temperature and my order was correct. All in all, it was a good meal, but too salty and the Caesar salad was average at best. I also sat at the bar once in the past when in town for work. Good experience then too.

The past two times I have gotten Outback to go it was awful! I will highlight this most recent experience. I ordered soup and salad. I arrived a few minutes before the promised time since I knew these two items were technically already prepared. The girl comes out with my bag and it’s like it is killing her to walk the maybe 10 steps from the door to my car. She then takes my card for payment. When she returns she knocks on the passenger side to for me to sign the receipt. I didn’t have a passenger in my car. I guess it was too much for her to walk back to my side. I found that rude and lazy. Honey if you can’t walk or are that lazy being a server is not for you. I live less than 5 mins from Outback and my food was cold when I got home. The croutons were stale and my balsamic vinaigrette was basically syrup. My soup had a huge clump of cheese in the middle from were it had been sitting. The bread was cold as well. Outback needs to work on their service and quality!

I order a medium ribeye every time I come here. About half the time it’s over cooked. The management always offers a new steak, but this a too frequent occurrence and is an inconvenience. Management must make sure steaks are prepared accurately on a more consistent basis. Blooming onions also are not consistent. Most of the time they are under or over cooked. Rarely do I get to enjoy a perfectly cooked golden brown onion.

I think the wait staff has no training whatsoever. Blue cheese, ranch? I guess they look the same just one has a different taste and, oh yeah, one has blue cheese! I had to tell the waitress which drinks were ordered twice and it still went in one ear and out of somewhere. I asked about the menu and got the«I’m speaking Greek look» as she took it out of my hand to see what I was talking about. I bet she went home saying«they only gave me 10%, those cheap bastards!» «I have rent to pay.» How about this, give great service and learn the menu you self-entitled know nothing. I was a sever. If I had acted and performed as well as you, tips would be the last thing on my mind. It would be keeping my job.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the seared Ahi Tuna! It is REALLY delicious, though I wish it were a little less expensive. Our food has always been temperature appropriate and the service is professional.

A solid 3. It was one of times when you’re silently Unilocaling to yourself and trying to focus on 3 other conversations. The server was a sweetheart & we were the happy, easy table. Win-win. Restaurant boasted a 25 minute wait time at 7 pm On. A. Monday. What the heck is goin on at Outback? Apparently everything. This place was packed! The low down Nitty Gritty– * Apps — blooming onion-standard. * –seared Ahi Tuna. 10 slices on a bed of Asian cabbage with ginger sauce… sounds better than it looked, but it tasted fresh I give em that. Prolly skip that… *3 filets all medium rare– perfectly cooked. Each one. Full rack of ribs fall off the bone. Sauce on side. Overall enjoyed the visit.

Great server… kitchen staff must stink. Took an hour to get a bowl a clam chowder that wasn’t hot.

Just walked out without being seated due to the restaurant being understaffed. After watching the staff for 30 minutes, clearly a team that is underperforming.

I have to tell you that the customer service here is just terrible. I went in and sat at the bar since I did not want to wait for a table. The bartender, Seth was friendly and attentive. He was knowledgeable on the wine list and available beers. I have to admit that he had a great sense of humor. That was the only bright spot in my visit. I ordered a filet with asparagus as a side and the soup as my appetizer. I also told Seth that I really wanted plenty of bread since I am not allowed to have it at home. As I waited with an Sam Adams Oktoberfest beer, two people who arrived after me were served their complete meals. Still no food for me. Finally, a waitress arrived with my steak and some asparagus that could not have been resurrected by divine intervention. I mentioned that my bread or appetizer had never arrived. She seemed confused. A few minutes later the soup and not-so-fresh bread was brought out. Seth apologized saying it was«piss poor» and he would buy my beer for me. With four courses in front of me at one time, I decided I didn’t want to eat it all at once. The managing partner came out, introduced himself and offered to comp everything or let me take it home. I declined and offered to pay for my beer and the glass or wine I ordered. He would not accept my payment. I left $ 10 on the bar, the wine was untouched and the beer was consumed. Sam Adams never disappoints but the service here was dismal. The really bad thing is, I was starving.

This was the first time that I had ever been at outback. I have to say I enjoyed it. The food was great and the service was even better. We had seven people in our party and everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. The only real issue was the my nieces steak was a little under cooked. Still it was very good and the staff was friendly. I would stop here again to eat. I would also suggest that you stop here.

Thanks to Unilocal I was able to find Outback on our way thru Florence. What a lucky stop — easy off from interstate and a great meal! Von was charming and the perfect waitress. Steaks were great and one undercooked(no fault of kitchen but ordering mistake)) was graciously taken back to kitchen and returned with a new sweet potato by manager. What service! It’s such a pleasure to find good food AND good service while on a road trip thru unfamiliar territory.

Service is consistently good… The kitchen is not always the same. It is not uncommon to receive my steak overcooked. Blooming Onions sometimes come out overcooked or undercooked. That being said, Outback as a restaurant chain is hard to beat.

We enjoyed our cheese fries, salads and side of baked potatoes. The steak however was very lacking. You would think its a steakhouse, how can they mess up steak? Well ours was wayyy over cooked, dry and sadly they don’t use a grill. Friendly service and they did give us a $ 10.00 off certificate maybe we can try again here in Raleigh.

Outback is Outback is Outback. Stopped here for dinner on a trip from NJ to Hilton Head. On a Saturday night, it seemed like this place is one of top places to go in town and we had about a 30 minute wait. That didn’t make a difference to me since draft beers at the time were $ 2.50. I ordered the half-rack of ribs and they were decent. I’m not sure why this particular Outback has three stars, because there is no way you spend more than $ 30 per person here, unless you weigh 400lbs. Outback is Outback is Outback. No matter which one you go to, it will probably more than likely be exactly the same.
