We loved having breakfast in here. The hasbrown casserole and the grits are so good, the store is cute

The food was yummy and the servers were pretty chill too! I’ve been here many times with my friends and families! However my only complaints is that the service can sometimes be spotty especially in high demand days. I remembered that I never saw my waiter for like 25 minutes at one point. Also, the food is sometimes oily and after eating it, it can leave a weird feeling inside! However, the food is pretty cheap and super fulfilling!

What a fun store and Restaurant to visit! We visit the Homestead gateway to the Keys location. Every time is a great experience.
But we have noticed that the Customer Service have gotten even better over the years! How can that be?!
Well, we should know… we have been patrons for well over 10 years. We went on a Saturday morning, Memorial Day Weekend 2016.
The place was crazy busy! But the staff was so efficient, they made it look easy. Their faces were not stressed, smiling faces at our table taking our order. Even the movements of the staff looked like a Ballet… ok, maybe a little overboard but it was fun to watch all the movements.
I could tell the kitchen was «cooking»; pun intended. They were really cranking out the plates. We didn’t wait more than 10 – 15 min for our food which went by really quick.
We asked for more biscuits and our waiter hooked us up no problem! You betcha’ we’ll be back soon!
The gift room area was packed to plus they were doing free dumplings. But everyone seemed to be very respectful of space. Of course the rocking chairs, checkers and people watching on the porch is always fun! Can’t wait to go back… oh, the food was delicious!

Had to make my first review ever Very unsatisfied with food waiter barely came by table, & didn’t bring complimentary bread we had to ask for it. Ordered a soup as an «appetizer» they FORGOT and brought it out with our meal. steak came out cold French toast was egg toast needless to say not one thing was good. This place needs a better cook leaving very unhappy! Wish I could’ve gave No stars at all.

We chaperoned about 43 Honor Choir kiddos! The servers and manager handled everything and everyone very well! I have the strawberry salad and it was fabulous! Bathrooms clean!

Best breakfast ever… Lots of food. Fried apples are very good. But not crazy about the gravy. Will definitely come back again. Bring home the syrup..

You guys will always be my favorite. Me and my husband love coming to this place before going mudding in our bike!

Poor service and undercooked food.
3 visits in a row. One time we ended up with the manager serving us & it was still sub-​par food.
I have eaten in many Cracker Barrel restaurants around the country.
THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST SERVICE & FOOD.

Cold food on the first visit .
I ordered the lemon stuffed French toast and received something that looked molded which I sent back. For a first impression I must say I’m not impressed at all. Never eat here.

Really great friendly and very attentive staff. Very organized, clean and nice atmosphere. Food was made to perfection, so delicious. They also had beautiful selections of items sold in the front of store. I would definitely come back to this location.

Depending on your server makes a difference in the experience. I have had some that are quick and on top of it and others that are lost as can be. Typically the food is ready pretty quick which is always nice. I love their sausage gravy and my son loves their pancakes even though they don’t offer a kids portion with fruit.

Junk food for oversized people without any knowledge.

This location is great, with great reputation comes greater responsibility to deliver to demanding costumes. With an extensive menu of breakfast and country style entrees you are to find a dish to satisfy your taste buds.
I in particular when Coke to any of their location, even though they have many amazing dishes I can’t pick anything else but the lemon pepper rainbow trout. It is scrumptious. Not even I make this trout better. This dish is perfection light, great tasting and silky texture.
I usually order a sweet potato with the bells and whistles and a house salad. They’re salads are so fresh and they even add a little bit of applewood smoked bacon for that little extra.
I also tried their cole slaw which is very tasty. I order my tea always half and half and they find that perfect middle point. Carolina, usually my requested server brings me a small cup of lemonade for when I decide to make it an Arnold Palmer.
This was the perfect meal yesterday after being in the library almost all day. After the gym, I was craving for a light, nutritious meal but yet satisfying. This folks delivered!!!
Ps. Their cornbread and their buttermilk biscuits are delightful.

This area of Homestead is a restaurant wasteland. There are all kinds of chain restaurants but nothing that was within walking distance of my hotel that stood out. I picked Cracker Barrel because it is generally good and my hotel was in the parking lot.
I walked in to place my to-​go order, but the gal working the register couldn’t take my order. She had to call one of the waitresses to place my order. The waitress arrived lickety split but I had just opened the menu and wasn’t ready to order. About 2 minutes later, I was ready to order. The cash register gal called the waitress again, but this time, it took probably five minutes or more for her to come.
I placed my order, and everything was correct. However, for the three pancakes I ordered, they only gave me one bottle of syrup (I didn’t realize until I got back to my room) and there was no silverware included.
The food was what I expected, the service was kind of poor. I think they made me wait around in hopes that I would leave the place with $ 200 in knick knacks and other things I don’t need. I almost bought the worlds smallest skillet, but the only thing I would have been able to cook in it would be a couple of black beans or something.

Giving this location 3 stars is a gift. It use to be really good, but has gone downhill over the last year. Long waits to order, for food, food coming out wrong and service is not as good as it use to be. I sure hope it goes back to the way it use to be. This was one of my favorite breakfast places. Not anymore, please fix it.

Don’t go here! Service & the speed is soooooooo slow and not worth the wait. 35 minutes for a to go order and then forgot to pack us silverware or napkins, guess they thought we’d just eat it with our hand or slurp it up from the plates?
I understand a restaurant being busy, but seriously such a let down.

Had breakfast this morning at Cracker Barrel. It was great as always. Our waitress Karen was very nice. Can’t wait to come back next time. All of their breakfast dishes are delicious. You can’t go wrong with any of them!

I really like the meals at Cracker Barrel. Both of my parents are southern, so they love southern food. I love coming here for the Mother’s pancake for breakfast. The pancakes are delicious my favorite next to Mom’s.

Lines to get in to this place are something else. Not worth completely the wait and aggravation to come and eat here. Do yourself a favor and look for a different place to have bfast or lunch. The hostess keeps letting people in having others to wait longer than expected. We stopped for bfast and made the the wrong decision. Waited for 1.5 hours to get a mediocre food.
Completely disappointed.

Crackle Barrel will always been known as the popular road trip destination when you’re looking for a good home-​cooked meal. But for some of us, we venture all the way to the nearest location to give us a sense of adventure and, of course, a good southern meal with biscuits and gravy.
I went for the latter and traveled out 45 mins on a Sunday to get a decent breakfast. We came early enough that the wait wasn’t too bad. I would recommend coming no later than 10a if you don’t want a wait.
I went for the Uncle Hershel meal. That and with chicken strips, eggs, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, and grits. A lot of food!
Everything was mediocre, not the best I’ve ever had. The hash browns were dried out and over cooked. Everything else was average at best, but I knew not to expect a 5 star gourmet restaurant. You pay for the experience. And the opportunity to splurge on overpriced candy at their gift store.
Nonetheless, I’ll be back in the future when the craving strikes me.

Man I love this place! You want some southern style food with the southern style feeling this is the spot. I specifically love going on Sundays to enjoy the Home-​style Chicken served only on Sundays! There mac and cheese is awesome add some Corn to the mix and its on and poppin.
The service here is always awesome. I’ve yet to go and have a bad waiter or anything wrong with what I’ve ordered. All the waiters and waitress are super friendly and usually go above to get you what you prefer or want.
This is the closest Cracker Barrel to us and its always full and a nice place to hang out. The best is that while you wait if there is a line they have these cool rocking chairs and checkers game out side to pass the time. So unlike other restaurants you’re not standing or sitting bored waiting for your table.

My family and I drove all the way here from Kendall just to have breakfast; to my delight there was barely a wait, but beware! This place gets out of controlled packed on the weekends! Our waitress was great she was very attentive and brought any extra things (whipped cream for my pancakes) we needed without hesitation. Everyone on the floor was great with a smile on their faces at all times. The décor was fantastic. The food, well i wouldn’t drive about half an hour again to have it. The problem is, it tastes like any other breakfast chain restaurant (ihop, dennys). Same style, eggs, bacon.
The problem is I don’t eat grits or gravy or buscuit so I am a chain breakfast food person anyway.
I love their little shop where you walk in or where you pay, it is so cute! You just want to but everything!
Overall, its a warm place with great tasting food nonetheless.

Place is awesome for southern food and great for kids. Service wasn’t that nice and upbeat, especially being a family oriented restaurant. Overall cool place to visit as a pitstop for roadtrips.

It was a great experience all around. The drive was a bit longer than we usually travel for food but it was well worth the trip.
We roamed the store for about 5 min while we were waiting for our table. They had all the holiday stuff out for Halloween, thanksgiving, and Christmas. It was beautiful!
The food was great. The service was fantastic. Our server Antonio was very attentive and friendly. He definitely earned a good tip.
We started off with biscuits while we waited for our food. My daughter was playing the game with the wooden triangle with pins. Then the food came in a timely fashion. My hubby ordered the country boy breakfast. It came with a sirloin steak, eggs, double hash, grits, and biscuits. We ordered it custom because you have options to chose from. I had the mommas pancake breakfast and my daughter had the kids pancake breakfast. It was delicious! I could barely move when I was done. We even had food left over. Their raspberry lemonade it delicious. Their lemonade is homemade and has lots of pulp. I loved it!
Needless to say it was well worth the trip and I would do it again anytime! Wonderful family breakfast!

I come here often with my little family since it’s so close by to our hotel. Our food was delicious and it came with a choice of biscuits or corn bread. It was during dinner. We ate there during lunch time and they didn’t serve us that so I guess it’s a dinner thing?
The shop is wonderful. The staff is quite friendly and the house decorations that were on sale were adorable. The candy section was awesome. Mostly vintage candies which was nice.
This is definitely one of my favorite places to go!

Cracker Barrel is always a solid place to stop in for breakfast on a roadtrip. You get a lot of food fairly cheap. We stopped in for breakfast on our way down to the Keys. Since it was early on a Tuesday we literally were in and out in less than 30 minutes. The coffee they have is amazing! i just got a side of grits, biscuits, and their hash brown casserole I just love. For two breakfast with coffee the total was $ 20 with tip fairly cheap. This isn’t the best quality food, so I don’t think it deserves more than 3 stars. It is a place you stop when you are on a road trip, and if you want to load up on candy for the ride!

What can be said about this place other than amazing! I absolutely love the old fashion American homemade feel. The food is always delicious and I have been to so many different locations across the U.S. And the food never disappoints. The food selection is ample and the portions are generous. The staff is always attentive and polite and won’t hesitate in assisting you with anything.

Who doesn’t love this old country homey restaurant? They definitely succeed in pleasing people!
We went this past Sunday to celebrate Mother’s Day, party of 17. Anticipated wait: 1hr and 45 minutes. Actually waiting time, a little shy over an hour!
Considering the lines and number of guests, the service was to perfection. Everyone’s dishes came out correctly and the bill situation (which can get sticky like their phenomenal maple syrup) was handled like nothing.
I devoured the Grandpa’s Country Fried breakfast, with chicken. If you’re visiting with an appetite, this is the meal to eat: two eggs (cooked your style) grits with gravy, best homemade buttermilk biscuits. I recommend the hash brown casserole over the fried apples, though they are an excellent selection. (I just have more of a savory pallet.)
Of course I tried my family’s dishes, consisting of pancakes, French toast, bacon, sausage and the strawberry milk shake. All of those items get two thumbs up!
Don’t forget to check out their store. There are great little gems you could find in there.

Love me some Cracker Barrel. Living in California, the Cracker Barrel is a real treat of southern food. Everything is good and it all reminds me of grandma’s cooking. Miss you Nana.
More gravy please.

I only come Cracker Barrel once a year, and it’s usually around the holidays when I’m visiting a friend who lives down south. Anyway, the wait time was roughly 15 minutes for a Sunday afternoon. After we were seated, our server, Kenny, attended to our needs within minutes.
From beginning to end, he was very attentive and extremely friendly. So if my review was based on his performance, it’d have more stars! However, the food this time around just didn’t satisfy my craving for Cracker Barrel.
I ordered the Sunday Special of the fried chicken. The portions are more than generous, however, the food is bland. The Mac n Cheese looked like it came from a microwaveable box, and the corn beard tasted stale. My favorite part was the Apple Butter, and that’s it. Perhaps I’m spoiled by really good southern food now, but I can’t see myself coming back to eat what I ordered.
Overall… Great service, bland food.

Cracker Barrel how I love you so! I love the feel of this place and the food. I also absolutely love their sweet tea. It ins sweet perfection in a glass.
7 years ago my husband got food poisoning at this location when he had a shrimp plate. We were hesitant to return and we stopped coming here in fear of getting sick again. Seeing as how this is the closest one we could get to, we decided to face our fears and return.
On our recent visit we both ordered Saturday Chicken and rice. This plate is fantastic and my main reason for visiting Cracker Barrel. It comes with your choice of two vegetable sides. The mushroom cream is fantastic and the chicken was nice and soft.
Our waitress Debbie was delightful. Even though it was a busy day she still tried her best to meet our dining needs.
You definitely get a lot of food for your money so I recommend it for large parties and big families. A meal for 4 of us totaled to $ 35 before tip… in my opinion that’s fantastic!
After dining you can enjoy relaxing in a rocking chair on their porch, or browsing the shop for candies and other merchandise. A nice little stop and there is something for everyone.

Can you ever go wrong with Cracker Barrel? No !!
This is your typical old southern hospitality food which comes with the service of the employees.
Atmosphere: when you first arrive to Cracker Barrel you have around 30 rocking chairs, it almost looks like your grandmothers front porch. As you walk into the restaurant you almost think you are in the wrong place, but don’t be alarmed, if you continue walking in you’ll find the hostess. The wait is usually 30 minutes to 2 hours just because the food is that great. But you can entertain yourself walking around and seeing all the wonderful selection with a very unique variety of different nicknacks they sell, from Candies to christmas tress they have it all! I kid you not.
Food: very American country, you have your fried chicken, gravy, mash potatoes, scrambled eggs, steak, grits, plain yogurt, corn, you get the picture. The biscet are amazing, if you like the ones from Kentucky fried chicken (KFC) these are 4 times better. My absolute favorite thing in this place are the pancakes, they are like nothing you’ve ever taste, they have their own unique taste and the syrup is delicious, whatever I have left of the bottle I take home with me ! Best part is they sell the syrup at the store in the front. The price is very fair for the amount and quality of the food. Everything is very tasty!

Even though we were in the midwest, I had never been to a Cracker Barrel. So, we noticed this on the «Keys leg» of our Miami trip and had to check it out. We stopped for Dinner on the way back. The old country store concept is similar to Bubba Gump, Hardrock Café, etc. and unlike any other restaurants in the midwest that we had been to.
Our waitress was kind to let us substitute a lot from the standard menu. We ended up mix and matching a bunch of items.
Things we liked:
1) Food was surpisingly delicious. I dont think it was because of our tempered down expectations. We were full from all the food we had been eating the previous couple of days. So, the items were genuinely good.
2) Very inexpensive. $ 27 with tip for a whole lotta of food.
3) Very courteous and friendly wait staff and restaurant employees.
4) Adequate parking & seating. Convenient location.
5) Portions were decent, but including the sides there was a lot of food.
We will definitely check this chain out again if we are visiting family in the midwest.
