Really enjoyed the pizza. The artichoke pizza was really good as was the cheese. This is as good as you get at any airport

Could be worse… Definitely not as good as the Chelsea location. And the woman taking orders can move just… A… Little… Faster… Please

Got the artichoke pizza. It was serious. Thick crust, lots of sauce, lots of cheese. I was expecting artichokes but there weren’t any.(Bummer) It was also really salty. More than usual pizza. I have no doubt that this is some of the better airport food available here but I’m also pretty sure that the east village location of this place is immensely better.

This place is my go to at LaGuardia. Avoid the horrible OTG dining experience(and their unjustifiable prices) and get a tasty slice here! Quick, easy, cheap, tasty!

The pizza here is really good and the price is right. $ 5/slice. It has quality ingredients and is a large slice. I had the Staten Island slice… ricotta cheese, meatball, red onion, and red sauce. It was very good. They give you a ticket with your pizza and you take it to self checkout to pay for it. You can get it in a to go box or on a plate. They warm it up for your quickly in the oven.

There’s a really awesome down to Earth white guy that works here. He seems a little punk rockish(so to speak). That guy is awesome! And the pizza represents New York baby! Grab a slice and take it on your flight. $ 5 a slice.

It’s airport pizza. It’s never going to be that good. That said, it could also be much, much worse. And in the mornings, they make bacon, egg and cheese strombolis that aren’t half bad. I would appreciate if the staff would acknowledge my presence and/or my order, instead of continuing to spread cream cheese on bagels for future customers that may or may not materialize… but then again, you know what they say: Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle. I’ve never worked at an Artichoke outpost in JFK, so I can’t pretend I know what that battle is like.

For airport pizza, it’s alright. It definitely wasn’t bad but it was my least favorite pizza of all the pizza I ate in NYC(and I ate A LOT of pizza in 3 days). The crust was nice and crusty-chewy just like I like it, but overall the slice was just a little on the bland side. I got the margarita slice because I’m not a huge artichoke fan and I don’t really eat meat save the occasional chicken wing or slice of turkey. I did garnish it with garlic powder, crushed red pepper and grated parm but it was still just a little a bit dullsville. At $ 5 it did keep me full for the 5-hour journey home(stupid flight delays) so it’s a decent bargain, airport-wise. If I were to compare it to a Minneapolis pizza spot, I’d say it’s comparable to Pizza Luce cheese pizza. It’s good, it’s not great, it’s probably quite a bit overrated depending on who you ask(I think anyone who’s had real NY pizza would say Luce is crap). But as the saying goes, «pizza is like sex, even when it’s bad, it’s still kinda good.»

Meh. The Sicilian tastes like I made it at home. Nothing special at all. And they were selling some really burnt pieces. No pride in the food. Not NY pizza. Just meh.

The staff was honest with us here and told us that only one of their slices is truly worth the $ 5 price tag. That’s right, one slice of pizza is $ 5 here. But that’s the price you must pay for the famous Artichoke slice! This pizza was like nothing I had ever had before — the most decadent, heavy, creamy, cheesy pizza ever. It is a huge gooey mess and definitely the equivalent of 2 or 3 normal slices for non-gluttons. It was definitely worth the money, but my slice was pretty burnt on the bottom. It didn’t ruin my experience, but I was expecting the pizza to be perfection. Also, I didn’t think it had much of an artichoke flavor. It’s more like half deep dish, half extra cheese, but 100% indulgent goodness.

The addition of Artichoke is not only a delight to the traveling gluttons of the world but a significant upgrade to the existing pitiful food options. By virtue of just being there it already tops the likes of Sbarro’s and anything remotely close to it. It’s not cheap pizza, but the slices are hearty and the toppings are more appealing than the other pizza alternatives. The star of the show is clearly the spinach artichoke: cheesy, gooey, messy, but delicious and for a just little over $ 5 each. Other contenders are obviously the classic margarita, meatball parm, and crab slice. An extra star for not having to head all the way to into Manhattan to score one of New York’s most popular slices. I wouldn’t be surprised if the next time I’m in Terminal C, that folks will be huddling around full sized pies of artichoke. I might be one of them.

The set up here is totally confusing — it says food court but feels more like a grocery store where you order what you want and then go pay at a cashier at a central location. This set up is a pain when you have your carry on plus one other bag that you have to schlep all over the place. It would be helpful if trays were provided so you can balance the foods/drinks you are picking up at the various stations. At Artichokes, they sell slices of pizza for $ 5.00. The menu notes pizza $ 5.00 but it is a slice and not a personal pizza. I ordered the meatball pizza — the crust is NY style and the I liked the cheese and sauce but the meatballs seemed a little overcooked. This is a great choice if you are looking for an escape from ipad central which seems to be practically every eatery in Terminal C at LGA and the cost of a slice of pizza is a lot less than eating at one of the restaurants.

I was so excited to find an Artichoke in the C terminal of LGA! Waiting for a delayed flight, I decided to pick up a slice of original artichoke($ 5). The rating says it all — Meh. I’ve experienced better. The stale slice is nothing like the Artichoke in the city. Same flavors, yes, but the lower quality is definitely noticeable. Even after my pizza went in the oven, it came out barely hot and it looked like the pizza had been sitting out quite long because the cheese was crusty and not melted. Perhaps passerby’s don’t know much about what REAL Artichoke pizza should taste like and think the one at the airport is some random pizza joint. Probably explains why the pizza is stale-ish and not fresh.

Several people have mentioned the greatness that is known as Artichoke Basille’s Pizza to me. This last visit to NYC, I was literally eating my way through St. Mark’s and Flushing so I didn’t have time to check out Artichoke Pizza. Well lo and behold! There’s Artichoke Pizza at the U.S. Airways terminal at LGA. I did not get the restaurant experience of Artichoke Pizza, so I can only comment on my airport experience. I got the best-seller, the artichoke pizza. However, I was heavily contemplating between that and the crab pizza. Because, artichoke pizza… no protein! And omg, crab?! Ultimately, the surimi was the deal-breaker; that’s not real meat! The slice is frickin gi-normous. $ 5 for a slice is reasonable. The artichoke pizza is pretty ahh-mazzing. So creamy. yumm! The preserved artichoke gives it a nice flavor balance. I’m not really sloppy eater(ok, maybe I am), but the artichoke pizza can be pretty messy to eat. The sauce drips everywhere. I could have eaten it with a knife and fork, but… ain’t nobody got time for that! At LGA, you make your food selection at the stand and then you go to a general pay station for all vendors, away from the counter. The pay station kinda sucks. It’s poorly organized and there is no one to police line-skippers, lol. I was almost a skipper, but I saw the sign for the line and went to wait in line. The guy behind me did not observe the rules and I didn’t call him out on it bc… I am a priss.

I’d always been curious about Artichoke but never got around to trying their pizza. The opportunity to do so came up when my flight was seriously delayed, and I was killing time in the Terminal C food court. Perfect. I felt sorry for the guy working. It was just him, and since there were a lot of late takeoffs, I learned that employees have to stick around until the last plane has departed. So I was willing to cut a little slack. But I was irked that they were out of the artichoke pizza. C’mon, that’s the signature pie! Argh. Then I wanted the crab as my backup, but the guy had to make it. Since there was nothing else to do, I patiently waited for the crab while trying to not be crabby. The guy put up with my loitering. Finally, time for $ 5 crab pizza! Fresh out of the oven, gooey and dripping. Hmm, not bad. Then I realized that the underbelly of the slice was slightly burnt. It seemed delicious at first, but then I realized that it was kind of on the salty side. Plus I had to stuff my face quickly since I thought my flight was taking off soon(it didn’t, grr), which didn’t help my enjoyment. I would give Artichoke another shot, but it’d have to be at a non-LGA location to be completely fair. Airport locations are always a little funky.

I was stressed out after a long day of traveling, and after my flight got delayed, I was psyched to eat a slice of pizza here. The white pizza looked delicious, and they heated it up in the oven for me. The slice was large, cost $ 5.44 after tax, and was ready quickly. However, the pizza looked significantly better than it tasted. The white pizza was too greasy and also weirdly bland. The crust– my favorite part– wasn’t good and had an odd taste, and I couldn’t eat it. Airport food is dependably subpar, so this place may still be better than the other options in the terminal, which I didn’t check out. But overall: meh.

Artichoke«in real life»(as Alli H. put it) is a lot better and a little cheaper(by a couple of quarters). However, this is an airport we’re talking about. Airport food is never very good and is usually approximately 10000x more expensive than it is in real life. So when I can get Artichoke that’s slightly subpar for basically the same price as its city locations, I don’t complain. Because it’s Artichoke. Because it was 8:30 in the morning and my flight was delayed and the bacon egg and cheese«sandwich» from the burger place right next to Artichoke was utterly disgusting and unsatisfying. Because it was actually pretty hot and not too greasy and the cheese artichoke spinach dip was so loaded onto the slice it was almost begging to slide off. Because seriously, that is probably the most satisfying breakfast I have ever had.

Deliciously large slices of pizza. Generous portions of meat and cheese with a thinner more New York style crust. The heat it in the oven before serving it. All for $ 5.00 per slice.

Service: 3.5÷5 –Speed was there and fairly efficient Food: 4⁄5 -@ $ 5.44(after tax) for a slice of Artichoke this was paying a premium. I went with the sausage because I needed some sort of protein and since all the pizza were the same price I wanted to get the best bang for the buck –The sausage was surprisingly very very flavorful despite me patting the oil off with napkins and getting looks from nearby patrons. –Factor in the fact that it is located in an airport and you are expected to pay a premium for airport food, I gave this four stars for freshness and flavorbomb.
