Great service, great happy hour deals. Food: Buldak(spicy/fire chicken) is amazing. They cater to your preferred level of spicy when asked. Covered in yummy gooey mozzarella cheese to offset how spicy it is. Padak(chicken with scallions) is also amazing. Great sauce, good crisp, all you could ever want from a fried chicken craving. The outside area is pretty cool too, although I’ve never sat there. Can get pretty loud late into the night(what else can you expect from a suljip/place serving alcohol), so it might be better to sit outside(they have plastic tent-like things for each individual table) if some privacy and quiet is preferred. Service has always been on point. Love this spot in Flushing.

Great place to come for some drinks and eat! I think they have happy hour daily until 8pm which is great. Great ambiance and we tried a variety of food here which all were decent, not great, but keep in mind this is not your typical restaurant. Will be back again

Went here to drink with friends a couple of times. Chill atmosphere and it has an outdoor Korean Izakaya kind of vibe. Huge bar/restaurant and food is decent as well. They give great service and on the house hook ups to regulars.

I really love their terrace area! They have set up the individual tents with a table and chairs inside so you might feel like you went for camping! Food is most likely prettt above average than other Korean drinking places and I like their happy hour deal too. Half price of soju and bottled beer before 8pm. So go check out if you like soju: D

I heard the buldak(fire chicken) pizza’s fairly new(came out a month or so) and a Korean drama made me crave it so when I heard this place had it — I made my brother take me. Had one pitcher of killigan’s beer, one soju bottle, and the buldak pizza for 5 people(albeit I was the only one hungry). The bill was around $ 70. I was surprised — it felt like we ordered nothing. The banchan is scant: pickles(cucumbers, peppers, and radish) that are slightly sweet, sour, and just a teensy bit spicy + steamed egg(a little too salty and watery than I like but still good). The pizza was good! However, it took about 40 – 45 minutes to come out. I was starving and when we asked after about 35 minutes why it was taking so long, the server informed us the pizza usually takes around half an hour. It would have probably been better if they had told us beforehand when we placed our order(like Mad for Chicken does with their 30 minute-long wait for chicken). The pizza was pretty large and had various chopped up toppings like peppers, onions, pineapple and bits of chicken. The sauce was the buldak sauce which pairs well with cheese. But the chicken was scarce. I wish I could have just ordered a separate order of buldak and pizza and just eaten them together. The pizza itself costs about $ 25 or so(can’t quite remember the exact price), which I think is very fair. Just a side note: my cousins were visiting from Korea and they carry copies of their passports as ID but they were very hesitant to accept it(which I don’t blame them at all for) even though they’re almost 30 years old. So make sure you have the real thing if you don’t have a US-gov issued ID!

Zurang’s been on my radar for awhile and I finally got the chance to check it out recently. It was pretty empty when we walked in, but I liked it that way. I had their Malibu Pine, which is the sister of the Malibu Bay Breeze. Their Orgasm drink, as slightly scandalous as the name sounds, was actually pretty decent and tasted just like a White Russian. Next, we tried their Peach Crush, which was amazing! It reminded me of Jolly Ranchers. It was so good, we ordered another one. And then we just had to order their seafood pasta with tomato sauce because we’re shameless. I wasn’t particularly moved by this dish, but it was a nice accompaniment to drinking. Plus, it slows down the inebriation. If you go, make sure you get Hoon as your bartender. He’s quiet but completely personable! He made sure we never went without snacks, always filled up our waters, and was pretty attentive. While he was making our drinks, I made an off-the-cuff remark about how I love maraschino cherries. He slipped one in for me! Not to mention we were there for almost three hours and acting like deranged hyenas at one point and he didn’t think we were weird at all(he probably did, but was just too polite to show it). The highlight was when he made us shots consisting of Kahlua and vodka, and made us drink it with him because he thought our drink orders were way too girly and conservative and we needed a proper send-off.

This place is poppin’ during the warmer weather. My favorite part about Zurang is the outdoor tent seating they have. It reminds me of Korea and how badly I want to go visit again. The food has always been great. Recently, I tried a cocktail drink called the Pink Panther… and weirdly enough, it was pretty addicting even though it tasted just like Flintstones’ vitamins. I’ve also just sat at the bar and the bartenders are always so engaging and always have the best stories.

Happy hour til 7 or 8(iforget) Bogo bottled drinks including soju. It gets crowded weekend nights. Food is amazing & the waiters are very accommodating to your needs. There are seatings outside but I prefer indoor. I love that their menu is diverse from korean food to american.

I came here a couple of years ago, and finally stopped by once again last weekend. They have the outdoor tent seating areas which is cool, but really reserved for summer or warmer days. Indoor seating is fine. Their food is quite filling and although I suspect there’s a boatload of msg in a lot of their dishes, it’s nice to have some of those potassium/sodium-filled chilli sauced Korean dishes sometimes. YUM! Finished a bottle of soju and washed down some spaghetti with bottled Sapporos. The atmosphere is dark enough to be comfortable for dinner with friends. There’s a TV screen at the front of the seating area, which is where you can also wave down any waiter. Will be coming back when I’m in Flushing.

Came here at 6:30PM on a weekday with my boyfriend and it seemed like we were the first customers. But after we sat down 4 more tables filled up quickly. We ordered lemon soju, killian’s red beer and padak and it was soooo good. The lemon soju taste like just regular lemonade butit sneaks up on you after you finish the whole bottle. Very pricey though. Soju was $ 19, killian’s was $ 6 and padak was around $ 20. But I guess it’s typical that korean food is overpriced everywhere. But it was very good overall and it might be worth it to come back with a bigger party and get more food and split.

WTH? why are chicken wings so darn expensive. Came here after work and had a couple of beers and sake. I ordered the wings and silkworm soup. Wings were like 17 or 18 bucks. They were flavorful, but not worth 17 bucks. Silkworm soup was ok. I’ve had better tasting ones. If you find a Northeast style Chinese restaurant order the jumbo size fried silkworms. They taste like fried shrimp. I won’t be back.

I love love love zurangs lemon soju. That’s the reason why I would come here. The ambiance is not bad it’s full if you come on a weekend night. They have nicer bathrooms in the back of the restaurant. Their clam soup is banging too. But it is pricey for what you get. Get the lemon soju and the clam soup. You won’t regret it

I went there with my boyfriend and his dance crew and had lots of fun. This is not your typical Korean restaurant since much of the food is bar food. By that, I mean this place is made for partying, drinking, karaōke, and having an enjoyable late night out(which you’ll probably not remember). The best dish I had was the spicy sashimi salad. The sauce was amazing and the sashimi was definitely fresh. I was pleased with the taste of the thin apple slices that came with them because it gave a nice sweet kick to the spice. The management could be better? Can’t say because I haven’t had any bad experiences. I only say«could be better» cause everything in my eyes can be better. The waitress was absolutely amazing. I thought she didn’t hear me when I screamed«WAIT, I WANTDIETCOKEINSTEAD!». But nope, she heard me and brought me what I wanted. She deserves an award for being super attentive. If you’re a college student over 21, looking to have fun late at night, this is a go-to place. Beware, the price is steep.

Foods is good. Service is god damn aweful. Old manager was terrible, new manager is pretty much his off-spring. Now to try and catch this Blattaria and not scare the table of girls next to me in doing so.

I came here bc at midnight, most of the Korean places on northern was already closed. All the food was greasy, it’s a better environment for karaōke or drinking bc nothing on the menu appealed to me health wise or price wise. Luckily I spotted the steak salad after staring at menu in the dark for 20 minutes. That was super good, and not fried like 90% of the menu. I also tried the spicy squid noodles, but I really only picked out all the squid. It was so spicy, even the Korean girl with us couldn’t eat it. The outdoor tents are cute, but they def lose a star for having the grossest bathroom I’ve ever used at a Korean establishment. EWW. My friend said guys bathroom was also gross and had no TP.

I was going to go into some details about the place. Its kinda nice here. Outdoor area in the back which is nice. But they ran out of tap beer… a bar ran out of beer… sigh Recommendation: only if they have beer.

Moderately priced food, decent ambiance, good service, happy hour, what more could you ask for in a Korean drinking and eating joint? Food — Fried platter! This is a must if you plan on drinking. It has all of your favorites, fries, nuggets, mozzarella sticks, chicken wings. Mussels — Excellent. Nice amount and soup was good. Kimchi SHAKEDUP Rice — Bangin. It’s served in tin box, the waiter shows you it to you before he closes it and shakes it up. It’s pretty cool and unique. Seaweed Rice Balls — Great! Simple but yet so good when you’re pounding down soju and beer. Service — Excellent. The servers here were really on top of what they were doing. Drinks and food came in orderly fashion. Ambiance — Low light, dim, somewhat cozy. There is a large LCD screen and out door seating area with private tents for those who want to smoke. Verdict — I had a pretty fun experience at Zurang. I really plan on coming back. The food was surprisingly decent and the service was great. I did not feel unwelcome or rushed during my time here. I highly recommend this place. The only tip I have is to be careful of where you park. Cops may follow you to your vehicle when you leave. Also, order the fried food platter, you’ll appreciate it :)

I grew up going to Korean bars and find it ever so difficult finding a place where I don’t bring up the average age of the place. For the 30’s crowd, what I need in a Korean bar is good food, and not so loud music and this place delivers. My taste buds were distracted by the beer and soju that night but remember most of what we ordered was really good. We had the noo loong ji guk which was delicious. I would like to come back when the weather is nicer and take up one of the little huts outside.
