Aloha Sushi

This is a family run place that really cares about your experience. The food is always great and priced well. We love coming for lunch and dinner. Go by and see for yourself.

My family and I have been eating here once a week for about the last year. We believe it is the best sushi around and they have the best miso soup. Also the prices are very reasonable.

I visited Sacramento and was craving sushi. I came across aloha sushi and it was so amazing!!! I am so sad that we do not have anything like this in Los angeles! I will be back every time that I am in town!

Just left Aloha and we were really impressed. We used to go here before the new owners came and liked it but now we love it! Sushi was great, my favorite roll is the spicy crispy. The service was excellent as well. Our server Jaden was very attentive and super friendly. We will definitely be dining there more often and choose Aloha over any other sushi restaurant in Folsom.

K so this place is a little gem! The seafood taste more fresh! The service was great I got my order Togo but everyone that worked there that walked by asked me how I was and said hi. This will be my new lunch spot!

Great service. Not usually packed with customers. Always smells DELICIOUS in the restaurant.
My fave is the Hole in One roll. Love the fried soft shell crab and seared salmon. I wish the salmon tasted more «seared», because that’s what I’ve tasted in San Jose. Otherwise, a great roll.
Chicken Teriyaki is really good. Almost impressive. Usually, most Japanese restaurants ruin this dish. However, I was pleased that the chicken was fresh, soft, juicy, and full of flavor and not relying on the teriyaki sauce to save it.
Its not a cheap eats restaurant, but I’ll be a regular here.

This place was just gross. I deliberately chose a couple rolls they had on the menu w/​out a bunch of sauce and they came out looking like they just starred in a bukkake film. Disgusting overly sweet brown and white garbage sauces were literally dripping down both sides on the rolls. The nasty sauces were all that I could taste on both of them. To top it off one of the rolls wasn’t wrapped well at all and each piece fell apart into a saucy pile of shit and rice.

The most awesome new place I’ve tried in a long time! The owner Jeff is a delight. & the staff Is wonderful … FOOD IS EXCELLENT!!! This is going to be a regular dinning place for us!!!

While attending Folsom Lake College I used to eat here about once a week, and although I’ve graduated it’s still my favorite sushi restaurant in Folsom.
My go to rolls are The Aloha and The Ninja. My wife isn’t partial to sushi but likes their bento box, which includes rice, chicken, salad, and 4 pieces of sashimi. Most of the rolls are listed on the half off list, bringing most of the rolls down to $ 5 — $ 8 a roll.

Yuck! No water so we ordered and paid for tea. The male got a refill but the female did not — ever. No soup, tea or condiments came with the meal, except a bottle of salty soy sauce on the table. The teriyaki chicken was dried out in the bento box. Ordered mussels which were overcooked and a seafood roll. I was so thirsty my tongue was sticking to my mouth. Save your money and go across Bidwell Street to Taiko Sushi for some really good food that comes with soup, ginger and yummy sauces (and a pot of tea instead of having to beg for more.) I revised this review after thinking that I have, indeed had worse sushi so I gave it three stars instead of one. The one had been for the dry food and unattentive service but I felt guilty for leaving a bad review.

Our original plan for the night was to spend happy hour at Wasabi House in Folsom. According to their website they have daily happy hour starting at 4:30. Well when we arrived they said they were closed until 5pm and they did not have happy hour on weekends. So… their website needs to be updated. HOWEVER… this ended up being a good thing because we quickly jumped on Unilocal and saw that Aloha Sushi is under new management and is getting great reviews. So we decided to check it out.
Keep in mind I’ve been here a few times and while it was good it was nothing that made me want to keep coming back. Well that has changed folks. We were pleasantly surprised to see that all of their rolls are 50% off. And they are good rolls! Big and loaded with fish and tons of flavor.
We had a great time and will definitely be back.
I do wish they served miso soup and or edamame complimentary. But i’m willing to overlook it for now.

You may have been to different sushi restaurants around the Folsom, El Dorado County, etc. but you haven’t tried good authentic sushi if you haven’t been to Aloha Sushi.
My family and I ate at aloha tonight after hearing about aloha sushi reopening under new ownership… and we are very pleased to say that this place is absolutely amazing.
The rolls, sashimi, and nigiri were all fresh and tasty, and even the rice on the rolls tasted nothing like I tasted before.
We had a big party, so we got two big boats and appetizers. Usually in big sushi boats, most sushi restaurants fill them with simple and easily obtainable sushi, but not Aloha! They had Hotate, surf clam, and huge raw shrimp imported from New Zealand!
The presentation of all the sushi boats and appetizers was very appealing and the environment was perfect for our family dinner.
I would definitely recommend coming to try aloha sushi, or even give it another try from those who had a bitter experience from previous years here.
Make sure to keep in check with the owners because they are very helpful with accommodating to your tastes!

Under new management, the restaurant is very clean and nicely décor. The staff is very friendly, quick and welcoming. The food is awesome, fish is very fresh and all rolls is 50% off. I have to say Spicy Tuna, American River and the #2 were my favorites… Hell Yeah I will be back!!! Thank you Aloha

I like this place but have only eaten there for lunch. Their Nigiri, specifically the Hamachi and EBI has generally been very fresh tasting and flavorful. As far as their rolls go, my personal favorites are the Aloha, Spicy Tuna and Lucky Seven. The service is usually fast and always friendly.

We have a great experience every time we go. Love the ownership and personal high level of service.

Came here today for lunch with my family because we were craving sushi.
Like before Great service. Great food. I especially loved the cucumber wrap! It tasted so fresh and healthy! The main sushi chef makes great recommendations and is always so helpful.
Ive eaten at many different sushi places before and can say that the fish here that they serve was so fresh and delicious and cut very well! The rolls were flavorful. I also especially liked the stuffed jalapenos we had as an appetizer.
If youre looking to try some sake i would recommend the lychee sake that they have. It was smooth and slightly sweet but very good.
Would definitely come here again. I saw that they had great lunch deals on rolls and bento boxes so will be back to try those next time.

I absolutely love this place! My favorite sushi place in Folsom. Quick, friendly staff and great sushi at a reasonable price. Large, varied menu and most rolls can be made without any rice!
I go here at least twice a month and the staff is very friendly. My favorite rolls is Ichiban and White Rock!

Great food and atmosphere! Owner and waitresses were super friendly! If your looking for five star sushi at a great price, this is the place to go to!
The rolls were absolutely delicious!

The new owners have improved the appearance of the interior. Service is good. Food is excellent. They have reduced the ridiculous list of rolls to a more manageable list for the customer as well as (I am sure) for the staff.
The rolls I have had on the 2 visits since the new owners took over were great. Most recently I tried the X-​File roll and the Aloha roll. Both were good. I am looking forward to trying other rolls.
