If you have been to the I love this Bar in Las vegas you we’ll be very unhappy with this location. The menu is totally different the rotisserie chicken that I loved so much in Vegas they didn’t have. I tried there barbeque chicken Brest that was a big mistake it tasted like they had taken a frozen chicken breasts and put them on a barbeque and burnt it very much. The manager did come over and had them re-cook it but they did the same thing. I was not very impressed with this location!

Live music, great. Poor, sloppy, inattentive service. Poor food. Pretty negative experiences every time I’ve been here. I am honestly unsure if this chain is appropriate for the Palladio at Folsom.

This weekend was my birthday. My husband, nephew and I came to Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill to celebrate. And Celebrate we did. We had a barely 5 minute wait, the Hostess needed a table cleared. We were seated in a comfortable, well-lit booth. Our server arrived before the Hostess left to take our drink order and suggest items from the menu. Mark Mackay was scheduled to play later and we had time to chat. We ordered our food and received it in a timely manner — fresh, hot and such an aroma! My husband’s Pulled Pork sandwich was so flavorful with a good texture — not dry or tough. My nephew’s fried shrimp was hot and crispy. This was the first time he’d ever had grits — and he LIKED them! LOL! I ordered the rib-eye medium rare. It was wonderful! Melt-in-my-mouth, cut-it-with-a-fork delicious! My green beans were hot through and still crisp, my smashed — not mashed or whipped, but smashed — red potatoes were so good — creamy/chunky potatoes with some of the skin mixed in, topped with butter. Oh! SO good! We received excellent customer service. Every one was helpful, timely, personable, and friendly. Even the big fellow at the door wrist-banding people for Mark Mackay’s show. I totally do not understand the negative reviews. We’ve been coming here a couple times a year every year since they opened. We have never had, to date, a bad experience here. Not once. Ok, sometimes I wish the music wasn’t as loud — but if that’s the only thing — that’s pretty good! I will go back, with friends, for our«Girl’s Nights Out», for birthdays and just because like the food and the people are great.

My husband, son, dad and I came here last night before an 8:30 movie. We initially put our name on the wait list at Red Robin across the way, but decided to try Toby Keith’s since there was no wait and we figured we might as well be adventurous and try something new. The wait staff was great. We had two servers — one overseeing the other, who was in training. Both were very attentive and personable. My dad wanted to know if the chicken-fried steak and chicken-fried chicken entrees were good. The waiter offered to bring him samples of the gravies, which was really thoughtful. So, after ordering our drinks and trying the gravy, we placed our entrée orders and settled in to wait. And wait we did. Our server did inform us that the kitchen was backed up about five minutes because of the new menu, so we knew it would take a little longer than normal. But when that extra five minutes came and went, we started to get antsy. We had a movie to catch, after all! The bar manager came to our table and apologized for the wait by taking 25% off our bill. That was pretty cool, so although we were hungry and slightly irritable, we were understanding. Finally, our food arrived. My son ordered the sirloin and liked it. My husband and dad ordered the chicken-fried steak and thought it was ok. I ordered the beef brisket. It arrived sans my sides(green beans and onion rings) — I was told they’d be out shortly. The brisket was pretty meh, but maybe I’m just not a brisket girl. My sides arrived several minutes later. I got my green beans and, instead of onion rings, mashed potatoes. Not what I ordered but I would have kept my mouth shut if they were good. Unfortunately, the potatoes were lukewarm and rubbery. No bueno. I left the restaurant an hour and a half later still hungry. Made up for that with hot tamales at the movie. So to sum it up, the service was really good but the kitchen needed to get its act together, both on timing and quality of the food. The new menu should have been introduced on a Monday, not a weekend. But we loved our servers… they almost made up for the kitchen issues.

Let me just start by saying I am new to the Folsom area and when looking to explore new restaurants, I often read internet reviews first. Toby Keith’s had less than desirable reviews, so I had taken very little interest in trying it out. However, my boyfriend insisted we go out for birthday drinks, and we needed to try this bar. We went out for dinner and drinks on a Thursday night. When we walked in, we noticed how incredibly big the bar is… And also how incredibly empty it was. Not necessary a bad thing, as we had first pick for seats. The service was great, bartenders extremely sweet, and always checked in on us in a timely manner. Now, the attentiveness of the waitress/bartenders could have been due to the small number of people they had to tend to, but the great attitudes and vibes from them were genuine. For dinner, we split the game day nachos, which were on the Football appetizer menu. The nachos were great –big, but exactly what you expect to eat during football at happy hour. We also split a steak, corn on the Cobb, and broccoli. The steak came out exactly medium rare(how we ordered it), which was a bit surprising to me. Knowing that we were sharing an entrée, they split the steak and veggies in the kitchen and served us each our own plates, rather than giving us an extra plate for us to split ourselves. The steak was a little on the salty side for my taste, my boyfriend thought it was good. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place. This is something I had to judge for myself and look passed the negative internet reviews. The food, service, and atmosphere were were great.

The food wasn’t very good and the server took a while to initiate contact and take our orders. However, there’s a huge bar and they have their own red Solo cups branded with the restaurant logo. How cool is that? The weekday/daytime bartenders are great. Heavy-handed with great personality.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I don’t want to generalize everyone that works here by saying everyone is rude, but pretty much everyone we came into contact with over the weekend was impolite. We walked up to the door, showed our IDs, walked in and were asked to pay a cover — no big deal. I told the guy I didn’t have any cash and he told me there was an ATM behind me. I hopped under the velvet rope and went towards the ATM while my other half stood there and told the guy it was a little outdated that they didn’t have a card reader… to which the bouncer responded«well if you don’t wanna pay cash you can get the f**k out.» SUPERCLASSY!!! I’m surprised I didn’t walk out at that point. No one deserves to be spoken to or treated that way… We stood at the front of the restaurant afterwards and waited to be seated. That never happened. The hostess girls were running around taking drink orders so we looked to seat ourselves at the bar. Our bartender was semi-pleasant. Not going back.

Well I can see what all the reviews are pretty poor and have no idea how this place makes it. We came here only because of the free birthday Steak dinner they were offering and luckily they were able to substitute maui maui dinner since I do not eat beef, chicken or pork. Some friends and I came early, before the rest of everyone, for happy hour. Well it wasn’t really a Happy Hour more of a meh hour since it was dead and they don’t even have food specials on the Happy Hour menu except on Wednesday the bartender said. They had a few different alcohols on special you could mix or shoot but that was about it. So disappointed and a little hungry and since our dinner guests weren’t arriving for awhile we ordered a few appetizers and they were pretty overpriced if you ask me but ½ off would have made them a good deal like a traditional happy hour deal. Anyway our server checked on us a few times and when we heard from the rest of our guests we moved to a table. It was a bit hard to get the servers attention to cash out our bar tab so I just walked over and asked for it. The place was pretty dead but there was a lot of visiting between servers going on. Dinner at the table was OK the food again I felt was overpriced a bit for what you received but some things were better value than others and who can complain about a free meal mine was pretty good although the maui maui was overcooked and kinda dry. The deep fried twinkie was overpowered with strawberry jam and soggy and a lot smaller than the one in the picture that your supposed to get for your birthday. Service was OK but took a bit long, only noticed cause some of the guys just got off work and were hungry. I was wondering why people rated the place so low and overall consensus was only a 2 star and now I see why. Its a bit lack-luster and not at all what I was imagining as some famous country bar restaurant. I would suggest seriously that they learn what Happy Hour means(drink specials AND food specials!) and maybe more people would come. We were there on a Thursday night and it was dead. So unless your getting a free meal and perhaps coming for an event or dancing I would say skip this place and go somewhere else.

To Whom It May Concern: I took my daughter and granddaughter to dinner I had a $ 50 gift certificate and the bill came to $ 50.98. She took my cc with her and the certificate and it wouldn’t let her run the cc for under $ 1. So she chose to take the tip area for .02 cents. This was fine as I gave her a $ 10 cash tip instead. I signed the receipt for .02 cents. Nothing at all stated I gave her an extra $ 5. In fact the reason why I had this $ 50 gift certificate was because they messed up on our Company Party and over charged us. GOFIGURE! They sign contracts and don’t honor it and took 5 months and still didn’t honor an easy company party. They will not get our Hospital Company party ever again. Most people had never been there and this just turned them off as well. I’m SO disappointed in Toby Keith’s Bar and Grill In Folsom that they totally discussed me how Corporate handles their Management and these bad actions and the workers cheat their customers from the first day they opened. Every time I go there they have either added items to my bill, our friend’s bills and over charge you and dilute their drinks. Then they cheat you thinking you will not look at your cc accounts. I will not go back to Toby Keith’s Bar and Grill again! This is the fourth and final time they as a company or worker have ripped me off! I have NEVER seen a restaurant as BAD in my life! Not only is this going to Dispute my cc but I will post a bad comment on their page and anywhere possible so the public is well a wear of their behavior. Thank you in advance for your attention to this Dispute! Denice Bragg

No. I like country bars. Nothing here is country except the music and a very small percentage of the patrons. When the place first opened, I visited a few times and there were several reasons I never wanted to go back. My friends told me they had changed some things, so I decided to try it again. I’ve been there 3 times this year… and guess what, I still don’t like this bar. The food isn’t great… it’s just edible. Even when there are more bartenders than I keep track of behind the bar, service is ridiculously slow. When it’s busy, they won’t acknowledge you. You can stand there for an hour and they won’t look your way to see if you’ve been helped until you holler at one of them. And then they charge you $ 20 for a double gentleman jack on the rocks, as if it’s the some high end liquor… and we ordered one for each of us. $ 40 for a cocktail in a plastic cup! You people are flippin insane! I gave it a second chance. Not impressed would be an understatement. I’ll stick to my real country bars, where drinks are reasonably priced, bartenders are friendly and there’s actual dance floors. In response to the owners comment… yes, I’ve been to bars before. I’ve worked in bars. I know if you order a double, you pay for two singles. The ridiculous part is a single is $ 10. And it’s served in a plastic cup. I’m in a restaurant/bar, not at a bonfire. I would like my overpriced whiskey in a glass.

I went to the Craig Campbell concert last night with a few friends and we Waited over 30min to order food and beer, after one of the bartenders FINALLY gave us a beer and we told her we wanted to order food she told us that we could order food but on the completely opposite side of the bar! I found that ridiculous… someone should have posted a sign! We didn’t feel like making a big deal out of this so we proceeded to go towards the opposite side of the bar and waited for well over 45min and had no one help us… so in our frustration we decided to leave and went to eat elsewhere! I understand that it was a busy night however, management should have planned the night and properly staffed.

I went there few days ago with my cousin. It was our first time here. First impression: it’s a gigantesque restaurant, with a dance floor, a concert space and a huge bar with 10 or more tv. The service was ok, with a nice waiter. We ordered some mozzarella sticks for appetizer and to be patient for the next. The tomato sauce was really good, but the ranch was a bit disappointing. For the main course i had a bacon cheeseburger with french fries. And my cousin had a salad with sweet potatoes fried balls and another plat which I don’t remember the name of. The food in general was just ok. The mozzarella sticks didn’t have any taste, my burger was so grassy that it’s was floating my plate. And the test was really just average. My cousin salad was ok. Finally the place looks great to drink and have fun with some friends, or enjoy a concert. But the food is really disappointing. I will try to go again, and I hope that it will be better.

For a Sunday night with half the place empty the service was really slow. Our waitress disappeared after taking our order, never came back to refill the drinks, and when the food finally arrived she proceeded to ask us how it was as it was being put on the table before we even had taken a bite. Hello?! The reviews of my table(party of 6) had the consensus of «just ok». The over salted burger I received made me wish that we had walked across the street to Red Robin. Other comments at the table were that the bbq chicken was dry, the fried chicken was one step above KFC, and that the ribeye was on the fatty side. Dessert, a brownie sundae, took over 25 minutes to get. Overall, a disappointment. We won’t be back.

So I’m from the Bay Area and my dad lives in Dixon and has been dying to visit this bar. So our family went in for a few drinks. The establishment itself is great. Its nice and big, huge bar and more than enough seating. I love the large mason jars for big beers, bartenders had a good pour… There was an awesome live band playing on Saturday night and the vibe was fun. I gave three stars because the food was mediocre and the whole girls dancing on the bar to «Country Girl Shake It For Me» song was horrendous. I’m so sorry to say, but they need to be coached ASAP — for their own sake. Only one of the girls knew what they were doing and all the others were looking at each other totally clueless. I’ve been to a Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar in other states, and they were organized, having fun and knew their choreography. Anyway, I’m sure they’ll get their act together soon. Would be a much funner show if they practiced a bit more. #justsayin!

This place has an absolutely GREAT ambiance and vibe. A country bar and grill featuring live music and shows? Those are definitely fun nights to go to. BUT, I did get the sense that the staff was a little uptight. After all, hot young waitresses are there just to look good to make this place look cool and good, but the quality ain’t so high. I only came here to enjoy a free concert they were having that night(featuring one of my favorite artists), and the venue fits the bill for making that an enjoyable experience. It’s got all the nooks and crannies to make this a really cool and fun place, though I wish it weren’t so tied up on looks and featured some food and service that would set it apart. Cool venue, nonetheless!(I could’ve rated it higher if it was a more WHOLESOME venue for food and drink, not just music and young waitresses.)

You gotta really love Toby Keith and/or fried food to «love this bar.» If you don’t care for either, there isn’t much else to appreciate. Like many celebrity chain restaurants(Roseville’s Sammy Hagar restaurant comes to mind), this one relies a lot on the celebrity name rather than service or food. They’re still fairly new, so I’ll give the poor service a break on this visit, but the food could have been better(and cheaper). Lots of fried stuff. Like, pretty much everything. It was nice to see a gardenburger option for those who don’t need a full-on kick to the gut, but even that wasn’t anything special. The fries were even battered, as if frying them alone wasn’t country enough. Someone said they have the biggest bar in California. I’d believe it… the place is massive, and the stage in the corner could make for a good live music atmosphere, but the TVs only seemed to have two channels available, so I wouldn’t visit to watch sports. Again, you better be way into TK or way into deep fried bologna… otherwise, you’ll be joking about the bar’s name on the way out.

This is such a difficult review to write. Because I LOVE this place. The atmosphere, the music & the whole set up of the place. What I do not like is the shitty bartenders & service. So, let’s start with drinks. We came here for open mic on Tuesday. The bar was not crowded. We sat down, ordered our drinks and were happy. Since it wasn’t that packed at the bar, you would assume that the bartenders would make sure that you were taken care of. Well, that’s not the case here. Most of the time, the girls would disappear, with a shot in hand. I mean, if you are going to drink on the job, leaving the bar area and doing the shot right behind us probably isn’t your sliest move. But hey, I’m not judging. Anyway, back to the many many many bartenders that basically were not interested in serving us. Why? Because we weren’t a single guy hitting on them, that’s why! So, for this review, I would recommend this bar to a group of single guys because you are most likely to score with one of these fine bartenders. So, we were getting a little hungry towards the end of the night. We heard so much about the taco specials from the hosts on the stage that we wanted to try them. After waiting for 10 minutes to get a waitress to acknowledge us, we finally get a menu. Five minutes later a person comes out of the kitchen announcing that it’s closed. That could have been some helpful information since we now weren’t able to get the damn tacos. How hard is it for a person to tell you the kitchen will be closing? Oh wait, I am refering to a person who actually works and gives a crap about their customers. Terrible service is an understatement. Would I go back to a Toby Keith’s I love This Bar & Grill? Yes! This location? I will have to think about it. They need some serious help in the management department. The reason I gave this 3 stars is because it has so much potential to be an awesome place. They just need to clean house. The open mic night was a blast & we really enjoyed listening to all the final competitors.
