El Pollo Loco

They have the best customer service ever. Every time we go through the drive thru they’re always nice and you can tell that they try to listen to you so they can get your order right.

The customer service and the food quality at this place really sucks. I used to love this place but I avoid coming here now.

I have been eating at this restaurant for years since they first opened. The great thing about them is they have always been consistently delicious. I was at Costco and had noticed they had a restaurant there in that complex. I didn’t bother to check their ratings on Unilocal.I noticed when I walked through the side door that it was dirty. Bad omen. Should have stopped right there. This is a nice area and has good anchor stores so I overrode my initial hesitation. The next cause for concern came when I ordered. The cashier had that annoying fast talk that kids her age seem to think is cute. I asked her to slow down three times but my request fell on deaf ears. By now, I am frustrated. I got my drink and located a table. There were several tables with bits of food on the seats and the table tops needed a good cleaning. I picked up my food and they had my order wrong. Instant mashed potatoes rather than beans plus mashed potatoes stuck to the end of the wing. The breast was not crispy and hot. Coleslaw, yesterday’s. Corn tortillas old. The salsa bar was messy from previous visits. I noticed there was food dropped around the side dish containers. Beans bland. Food stuck to the rim of the trash can. I think you have the picture.
I should have gone to Waba Teriyaki Grill but I eat there every time and I wanted something different. San Bernardino has a location off Waterman that is the great, dependable EPL but they tend to leave dirty tables too.
Don’t know what’s happening with them. I am looking for a dependable new location.

I’m on a strict diet and I could definitely go for some flamed grilled chicken. the only problem is they ran out of chicken! Now that’s just loco to run out of pollo at El Pollo Loco! This location sucks!

I will start out with the fact when we walked in we were promptly greeted. But everything went down from there. My order was incorrect and I didn’t discover it until I got home. Normally they show the chicken pieces and this time everything was just shoved into the bag and the lady walked away. Never again will I go to this location. Even the portion sizes were small and skimpy.

I ordered the poblano avocado burrito with chicken and it was very good. I wasn’t expecting much but I will get this again because its flavor is great. Loved the warm corn, juices from the chiles and the avocado. Chicken was soft and moist. the rice and beans were okay it’s fast food so it was good enough; wasn’t dry it was just right. I liked my experience here and will come back again.

OK, just tried there New southwest salad sad to say they failed big time got two pieces of DRIED CHICKEN watch show perfectly sliced and fresh lettuce on TV WOW first time and last if I could give only a half that would nice.

First time trying today, I ordered the pollo bowl. Was good until I bit into a freaking piece of bone. I found more pieces too. If I wasn’t careful could have chipped my tooth or choked. They got my mom’s order wrong too. The food tastes ok, I do like their churros. I read someone’s review about food poisoning, hope the same does not happen to me. Will update if I’m ok! All in all, ok food with messy preparation. I will not come back to this location.

Not sure what happened to El Pollo Loco… They used to be good. Recently, there rice is hard and under cooked. Chicken has been dry. Just today I got a burrito and bit into the cap of a sour cream bottle. Yeah, a sour cream bottle cap. What the «H»… I called and explained what happened. They were very apologetic and promised to make my next meal on them. But seriously, I could have broken a tooth… Check out my photos I have posted…

I’m a big fan of the El Pollo Loco chain. Their flame grilled chicken hits the spot every time. The sides are a little watery but props to them for their new under 500 calorie menu. The staff is courteous but sometimes the service is slow.

This is truly one of the worst El Pollo Loco restaurants ever. Their hours of operations are a joke. It clearly says posted on their window that the dining room is open between 10am-​8pm and the drive-​thru is open until 10pm. I could swear the dining room was open later than 8pm in the past but whatever I figured things had changed. I have witnessed people being turned away from the restaurant by the employees at 6PM and being told it was closed while people were still inside eating and ordering food. I was one of the lucky (I guess you would call it) few who got inside the restaurant before one of the employees asked the other if it was 6pm yet and to lock the entrance door because they are now closed. WTH?! If this place keeps this up this location will soon be out of business because they are clearly losing money. I’ve had other experiences there where they were turning away customers because they were out of chicken. How does a chicken restaurant run out of chicken? Then a couple of police officers walk in and I guess they were able to find chicken for them and fill their orders because they weren’t turned away. It is ridiculous that I have to now consider going out of my way to find a different location to get pollo loco due to the horrible business management here. There are a couple nice employees there but there is an African American lady there who I believe is a supervisor or manager of some sort who is very rude and indifferent to customers. If you hate your job just quit don’t make all the people who walk through the doors of this business miserable also.

Had a great experience here, the food was great and got my order quick and employees were very polite. Recommend the avocado burrito.

Horrible! Came in about 1030 am and they gave me the dried nasty chicken from the previous night! Guess that’s what happens when you come in early. Get the left overs! Worst el Pollo loco I have ever been too! Hands down

If I could give negative stars I would! Food is good but the staff is fucking rude with the exception of like 2 people but that alone is not worth a positive review whatsoever. I am usually a regular and they are rude EVERY SINGLE TIME! I will not be coming back to this location.

Wow, this is the worst el pollo loco experience i have ever had! The drive thru wait time was absolutely unacceptable. The girl paused between every few words and seemed to disappear leaving us having to say ‘hello´. This is ridiculous! I will be calling the corporate number, no longer do i even want to eat here. Just the experience of ordering has frustrated my entire family. Truly unacceptable for a relatively slow night.

Service was terrible! I ordered a meal and when they gave me the wrong one I went up to the front and told them this is the wrong one. Instead of taking it the employee questioned me and stated I was wrong. Made me feel stupid. There’s always flys in the restaurant. Need to work on that! Never coming back here again!

Really clean with very friendly workers that will go out of their way to help you. The food is amazing but a tad bit expensive if you’re looking for cheap food. My favorite is the Ultimate Double Bowl fills you up and is delicious. Service was quick to. :) definitely recommend it if you’re in the area.

I was sick for days after eating here! First and last time. Then I talk to my friend that was a plumber doing some work for them and they let their chicken sit out and don’t properly clean things in the kitchen. I will never eat here or any other of their chains ever again. Just nasty!

We are regulars at this pollo loco which is the only reason why I would bother giving this place a 2 star rating rather that 1 star. Well recently I went with my father and my sister to pollo loco it was more full than usual we waited in line for quite an amount of time, got our order and everything was just fine. Now we just had to wait for our order to get called up so we wait and wait and wait and wait for our order. We waited for almost an hour and a half, we saw all the people who were waiting in line after us get their food and even people who just got there getting their order before us. We go up to the cash register to find out what is going on with our order and it turns out that our food had already been given out! To make matters worse it’s the employee who’s to blame! He stood there flirting with a woman and he just gave her our order! It even had my fathers name on the receipt and he hadn’t even bothered to call out the number … So there we were, waiting for 1 ½ hours while there was a family was sitting there gorging on our $ 50 and that same family kept going up to the cash register to complain about our food! Oh yeah and guess what! they got ALL OF OUR FOOD FOR FREE meanwhile in which way were we compensated? We were giving two flans which were disgusting (literally) and a salad.
I would say that if you’re looking for good customer service this place would be so/​so the food is OK (due to the fact we have been given raw chicken here before) the quality of the place is filthy. put this all together plus my experience here and this is my rating for this pollo loco.
My tip: ALWAYS check your chicken! If it doesn’t look ready chances are it’s not so speak up and make them cook them longer on the grill!

Good food and clean environment
