My favorite place in town. Good place to meet friends and make new ones. Delicious food, especially the Hungarian mushroom soup! Friendly staff and customers.

Excellent evening out! The atmosphere was wonderful and so was the food and wine. Great live band(but not too loud for conversation). I had a lovely white wine and a Procciutto panini with a sweet date spread… delicious! We will Definately keep this in the top of the list for date night!

We literally stumbled across UC while looking for other lunch options in downtown Forest Grove on a wednesday weekday after doing some real estate hunting in the area. Our initial thought was that it was a wine bar only and passed initially, but then we saw it had a nice light café lunch menu, soup, charcuterie and salads and took a chance. The menu was just varied enough and was quite delicious with generous potions. My wife had the baked brie with prosciutto, fig jam and baguette. I had the antipasto platter which was really large enough for two persons. My wife was happy to discover a nice WA state dry riesling by the glass and I has some nice local bottled beer. They seem to offer wine flight tatsings on some nights which would be a nice way to get to know folks and a couple of local wineries. Be aware this is small and one woman operation which might get overwhelmed if crowded. I’d love top come back for a glass of wine and snack at happy hour — its got that kind of vibe.

Had an amazing salad with walnuts, gorgonzola cheese, diced apple, dried cranberries and a balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Had similar salads at many restaurants but this one tops them all. It was so good! Enjoyed a beer sitting out front. Loved coming here! Can’t wait to come back and try some wine.

Surprisingly sophisticated spot to wine and dine lightly in Forest Grove. The Hungarian mushroom soup was superb — I need the recipe. The melted brie and apple sandwich was great, as was the side salad. Local, French and Italian wines are also sold from the shelves. Highly recommended if passing through.

I called ahead of time on a Saturday to ask if they did wine flights(the info online was a bit confusing). I was told no, that was only on Fridays. We gave it a shot anyway and – surprise! – they have wine flights all the time. Unfortunately, 3 of the 4 glasses also arrived with small flies in them. We sent them back, and was told we should cover the glasses to keep bugs out(in a way, ew, and also we weren’t given anything to cover them with at first… plus they arrived that way). They also didn’t have 3 of their menu items, which at that point we gave up asking and just had drinks. There was only one other table when we arrived… still needed to go up to the bar to get the check and pay.

Great staff, a discerning wine selection, and casual dining that enhances the wine consumption. Best place in town to taste wine on a Friday night with a romantic setting as well as community ambience. They serve beer and cocktails too.

This was a great little place tucked away on a side street. Very comfortable seating and wide variety of delicious wines will satisfy everyone. Their food menu was spot on and was well paired with the wines. Our waitress was friendly, inviting and knowledgeable on wine recommendations. Overall a very nice cozy place to relax and savor some nibbles and wine.

I was really looking forward to going here due to several recommendations from friends. I was a little disappointed. The waiter /bartender was not friendly at all, and acted like my party of two was a bother to him. We also ordered an appetizer of bread and brie that took over 25 min that was delivered to the table with a half-assed apology. I like to support local business, but with service like that, and a cold shoulder treatment from the staff, why should I go back?

Excellent menu and wine selection. The homemade soups and seasonal salads are great. They also have amazing panini’s. Best place to grab an appetizer and enjoy a glass of wine.

Stopped in at Urban Decanter this evening. I was really in the mood for a good IPA and was pleasantly surprised to find that in addition to a great selection of fine wines they also offer a nice assortment of bottled ales. Had the brie and baguette appetizer as an accompaniment. The service was prompt and pleasant. I’ll be back again.

Really great selection of local OR as well as national and international wines. There is food, but I’ve only ever had the artichoke dip(which was gut-gasket fabulous). The staff is helpful and knowledgeable, and they often do tastings as well. Certain nights they also offer live music, which is a really nice swanky touch.

Nice cozy restaurant to eat while touring wineries in the area. My wife, mom, & dad ate here recently while touring wineries. I enjoyed the Artichoke Cheese Dip and my Prosciutto Panini. Loved the Syrah Happy Hour wine too although I cannot remember the name. If you are visiting wineries or the sake distillery this makes a great little place to stop for a bit to eat.

Urban D is under new ownership! Things seem to be going very well. Lots of new wine choices are being incorporated into the menu and the sale inventory. Also, some slight menu changes have provided more options for food. Loving it!

I’ve been meaning to review Urban Decanter for awhile. Given their name, you might assume it’s a great place to grab a glass of wine — which it is — but it’s an even better place to grab an incredible lunch or dinner with friends! Their paninis are those flavor explosion-type of sandwiches that make you close your eyes, lean your head back and nod in appreciation. Mmmmmmm. I’ve sampled a few of their appetizers as well — I haven’t been disappointed with anything. The spinach artichoke dip is phenomenal, and their prices are very reasonable. The space is small, but its very comfortable and laid-back. The staff are wonderful. I love that they’ve got cozy furniture to lounge on, and I could sit on their couch through an entire bottle of wine after a long day. The only reason why they don’t receive my full 5-star rating is that they’re not open for lunch on Monday and Tuesday, and they’re closed on Sunday. There’s nothing like trekking out to the ‘Grove with magic paninis on the brain only to find them closed. Sad face. Besides the food being fab, I love their happy hour«mystery glass»; you pick red or white, and they’ll pour you a mystery selection at a great price. It’s like a grab bag for adults! Don’t worry — they’ll tell you what it is after you’ve tasted it. I love a bit of fun sprinkled into my dining experience! Speaking of fun, ask the staff why there’s a cutout of Edward Cullen living there :)

We swung through Urban Decanter after having a lovely dinner a few doors down at Stecchino Bistro. Being Valentine’s weekend, tonight they were tasting four wines, each paired with a particular chocolate. The service was excellent and knowledgeable. They have a reasonable«boutique» selection of wines to purchase by the bottle, and they serve about 15 – 20 different selections by the glass. The place is lovely – a great place to wrap up a romantic night out or to top off a stroll down Main St. Colors and lighting are very muted, giving Urban Decanter a cozy, intimate atmosphere. Great place to wrap up a great evening.
