Residence Inn Decatur Forsyth

Stayed here for one night. We typically stay at Marriott properties because of the upkeep and cleanliness. This place was up to par. It was clean and very spacious for a king, one bedroom suite. I rate it 4 instead of 5 stars because there was this faint knocking sound ALL NIGHT. lol. I would get to sleep and then it would wake me up. My husband didn’t hear it at all… he says I’m such a light sleeper. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel! We booked a 2 bedroom and a 1 bedroom for my sons graduation from Millikin. Both rooms were very clean, and the nice size of the living space allowed us room to celebrate with family. They also have a lovely lobby and continental breakfast included. Was told it was only 1 year old, wish we had found it sooner. Would definitely recommend.

Ah Decatur. This Residence Inn was my home for several months while I was working at Decatur Memorial Hospital. The staff was top 3 friendliest staff I’ve encountered at any hotel in the United States, and everything was always nice and clean. They had little afternoon mixers/​happy hours for us Monday to Thursday (maybe it was Monday to Wednesday… I cannot remember), where they served us everything from burgers, to chips and dip, to salads, to ice cream, and more! There was always plenty of wine, beer, and sangria to go around, and it was a great way for hotel guests to mingle. I never had any issues with my reservations or my room, and was greeted by name any time I walked in and out of the hotel. It’s conveniently located close to anywhere you may want to go. The mall, movie theater, and liquor store (priorities, right?) are across the street, and there are plenty of places to eat within a 5 minute driving distance. There’s a nice little gym in the hotel, and a great indoor pool and jacuzzi. If the gym at the hotel isn’t good enough for you, just go to the front desk and they will give you a pass to a local gym that’s within walking distance. There’s a grill and a fire pit outside for those of you who like outdoor hanging. The rooms were nice and spacious. I might even like the bed at the Res Inn more than I like my own bed at home. You’ve got a little kitchen and a separate living space with a desk. The bathroom… best lighting of any hotel bathroom ever! I miss the mirror in that bathroom.
I only have one complaint. The housekeeping staff wasn;t always very thorough. Often, I would leave my Do Not Disturb sign on my door, because I preferred to clean my own room. Other than that, fabulous hotel, and if I find myself in the area again, NO DOUBT that’s where I will stay.

Super clean, awesome room, up to date furnishings full fridge and kitchen. Air conditioner cranked to my 70 degree need. Friendly and helpful. Thank you Allison and Alysa. We will be back. Coffee Excellent and very nice shampoo & conditioners. Awesome bike trail to walk on along beautiful scenery right behind the hotel. Loved it!!!
