Sushi was pretty and the service was great. What more can I say. I’ll hit it again next time I’m in Fort Collins.

Outstanding staff and sushi. Big pieces for a reasonable price. Fresh as can be, don’t miss this gem in Ft. Collins!

Took 30 minutes to get simple meal, both Cali and Philly came with canned fish instead of raw. Philly roll only had canned salmon and cream cheese. Left something to be desired. Dynamite bowl was the only thing worth eating. Won’t order sushi from there again if I go back at all.

Tried Jaws last week for the second time. It was just as good the first meal. Great service, and super sushi rolls. Good value, and solid, quality food. You can’t ask for much more!

Fantastic service at the sushi bar. Love the Las Vegas and Whiskey rolls. The cocktails and beer selection are great, too.

I really enjoy Jaws, and I have always had a good experience here. I am a huge sushi eater, and they definitely satisfy my craving. The white tuna nigiri melts in my mouth, its so perfect! Some of their other rolls get a little crazy with jalapeño, cream cheese, and preserves to name a few nontraditional ingredients. It’s not something I think you’d exactly find in Japan but it’s inventive and I like it nevertheless. Something important to note: their menu is almost all sushi. Often times sushi restaurants will serve some other dishes — teriyaki or whatever. I personally love that there is just sushi with few other options but I know the first time I went my fiancé was a little bummed he couldn’t order much else. There is not a huge selection so just keep that in mind. Also, check our their lunch special, it’s a pretty good deal.

Amazing sushi and awesome friendly service, possibly the best sushi I’ve ever had. Especially the dragon bowl and a killer lunch combo!

Jaws instantly stole the title of best sushi in foco. The chum bucket is my fave. Tonight I ordered 2 rolls and didn’t like either of them – one had raw scallops and the other shitaki mushrooms. Sounded good in theory, but I ended up hating both, that never happens to me. I mentioned it to the manager(young, brunette, name eludes me), and he gladly accepted my feedback and took care of the cost of the rolls for me. Hell yeah! Thanks guys, I’ll be back.

This is a two room job that are both unisex. I’d always prefer if you have two restrooms, you should have a men’s and a women’s… But with all the transgender hubbub these days, I suppose you have to cover all your bases. All in all, this place was clean and inviting and I really appreciated the full length mirror. That way I could see how good I looked.

Sushi in a strip mall in a landlocked state? I was concerned, yet pleasantly surprised! Jaws is fun, laid-back, and the service is great. As many other stated, I the sushi isn’t the BEST I’ve ever had, but I was certainly impressed with the quality and price(for strip mall sushi in a landlocked state). We came on a busy Friday night and although we had to wait, the servers and hostesses were VERY friendly and awesome. We got coffees at the shop across the parking lot while waiting, and since we didn’t want to miss our names, kept coming back to double check we hadn’t been called yet. I think they felt bad for us, because finally once we found spots at the bar to wait, and the table we were supposed to get WOULDNOT leave, the bartender bought us a round of drinks to compensate. I could have easily seen the hostess getting annoyed with us checking in again and again, or us crowding the corner of the bar, but everyone was friendly and apologetic the entire time. I also enjoyed the eclectic décor and fun atmosphere which is very different than your usual house music blaring, dark small sushi joint. Once seated, the service remained excellent. Our rolls and appetizers came out very quickly. I unfortunately don’t remember exactly which rolls we got, but I do know they were all good! I would definitely recommend Jaws for an offbeat sushi experience!

Good, solid sushi. The rolls aren’t out of this world(nothing too fancy/expensive/different than most sushi places), but they are all well made and relatively good value. The service is good. One minor complaint I had is that the building isn’t large and it’s easy to feel cold in the winter when sitting near the door(they have a table 1 foot from the door). Overall, I enjoyed Jaws and will return.

Sometimes Going out for Sushi is a big production at big prices. Jaws is more like going out for an extremely healthy burger. The place is Spartan– a few wood tables and a long counter in a strip mall storefront with a little patio outside. Too snowy for that now! Service was great — friendly and right there with fast delivery to the table. Menus so short, but the Sushi is great. Lunch specials are big with miso soup, rolls & a cooked ramekin of rice & fish with Siracha sauce. I had a dinner size Chirashi bowl. Lots of Sashimi fish slices over rice with tofu, veggies & seaweed salad — all fresh. Good beers on tap, Saki if you want it. A very happy lunch!

These guys rock. The food and atmosphere is great. They are super nice and fun. Sit at the sushi bar for a good laugh. Try the Electric Sasquatch Catfish Roll with jalapeño soy sauce. I don’t care if it’s untraditional, it’s delicious!

On a recent dinner night out, my boyfriend and I ordered 3 rolls and 2 oysters and everything was so good! Two of the rolls were specials for the month of November and I really hope they keep them permanently because they were so good!!!

The perfect lunch spot for sushi enthusiasts! A decent sushi restaurant that offers an amazing lunch special. With Fort Collins offering such a limited amount of quality sushi restaurants, this place is definitely worth a try. The sushi itself is decent, nothing special about it but it will satisfy any sushi cravings you may have. The lunch special is awesome with any specialty roll you can add on a chum bucket, soup or salad for $ 1. If you’re a fan of dynamite sauce you’ll love the chum bucket, which is served in a bowl layered with rice, variety of fish, mayo, siracha, fried onions and of course dynamite sauce. To top it off the service is very attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend this place for any occasion. Tasted: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Service: 5 Distinctiveness: 4

I was a bit underwhelmed and the fish price was higher than what I’m used to… Is that because we are in the mountains? The Philly roll was made with smoked salmon not raw and the tuna roll came with wasabi inside it… again not the usual tuna roll. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you are a sushi snob, you will probably go in with high expectations and come out with food regret like me. The place had a nice atmosphere and outdoor seating.

JAWS is my go-to sushi spot in Fort Collins. It’s just far enough away from Old Town where you can actually find parking spaces(for free!), but is still pretty active, even on a weekday night. Their rolls are creative — I like the ATF Roll and the OG Kim K Roll. They do use a lot of jalapeños and chiles in some of the rolls, but that’s a plus for those of us who like it hot! Dining in is fun, they have a great drink selection and usually some pretty interesting music. Take out is also an option, and it’s a good one at that. They are generous with the ginger and wasabi for take out, but also use plastic wrap and label the rolls on the outside of the box. That may seem like a trivial thing, but it kind of sucks to really enjoy a roll and not remember what the name of it was. It’s the little stuff!

2 regular rolls with a chum bowl for $ 11 was a pretty good deal and plenty of food. I also got a 2 piece salmon nigiri. Salmon was great — fresh. Nothing to special as far as sushi goes but I was pleased with what I payed for. Service was great.

This is actually a 3 ½ star review. The service was really hit and miss and we wound up with three different servers waiting on us. We were asked several times if so and so had taken our order and my water glass was empty without a hope of a refill without me prompting for one. The food was decent. We ordered the seaweed salad — good but had, I believe, daikon on the bottom which was watery and without much flavor. The spicy edamame was also an appetizer which we all found way too heavy on the spice without a lot of balance. We didn’t even finish it. For our main we did a variety of rolls. The top picks included the Salmon L Jackson roll, Mr. Rogers roll and the yellowtail roll. All good. For dessert we finished out with mochi which is my favorite! A perfect end to an otherwise ordinary and at times frustrating dining experience.
