Took a walk to the Galleria(thumbs down) and searched the area for a late lunch and ended up here. The place was super quiet and we found it funny when she said something about us watching the superbowl but then turning the tv on to CNN. Then, a guy came to get our drink order. Menu says sodas but doesn’t specify coke or pepsi. When i asked which they carried, he was very blunt in his response(coke) and made it seem like the question was rude. Then, she comes back to take our order. I ordered one thing to which her response basically implied that I shouldn’t order that so I went with something else. Then, my guests order something else and she says that it’s very good. Food: their dish was decent. mine was on a sizzling platter but the protein was luke warm so I was leery about eating it. Overall, this place isn’t horrible but i wouldn’t choose to eat here again.

The manager at this resturant DOESNOT know how to be an actual manager. Not even a decent one. When you have a guest complaint or issue, you as the MANAGER of the resturant should help or be in tune with that issue and try to solve it. Being a resturant manager means being involved with everything and anything that reflects your resturant.

Fort Lauderdale this restaurant does not deserve our business! We stopped here today for a quick lunch. The server was very slow taking our order and delivering lunch. Even our tea was late. When we got tired of waiting I said something to the manager who told me «that I needed to have patience the waiter is new». I was offended by his tone as I did not realize that the waiter’s tenure on the job was my issue as a customer. At this point the waiter brought an incorrect order to our table and we had had enough and began to walk out. As several other Unilocal reviewers have written regarding the owner/manager’s conduct, he began to yell at me telling me «you have no patience». He was rude and inappropriate. I do not need to be personally insulated simply because I do not appreciate excessive wait times or incorrect service. We left without trying the food which having read several other comments I am grateful for as it sounds terrible.

This place is horrid! Stay away! I’m not some over fussy foodie, just a bloke wanting to ok food… What to expect here: Portions a «lunch Special» size, food quality is 3 out of 10, service is smilie-rude, she even argued that my son orders a meal he hates. Décor– 1980 – 90 Cheesy(the only reason we went in) Cleanliness = place is filthy! Such a shame, this could be a great place! But now I know why every table was empty, no one came in the door and the phone didn’t ring. I was order to sit down when paying the bill… Why ohh why did I not read the reviews beforehand!

The food is very good. This place has been around for so many years as everything is fresh and made local in the restaurant. When I first went to Jade Palace twenty years ago they had a line out the door. The problem is that people are familiar with PF Chang that moved in across the street and this has changed things for Jade Palace. I am not into fast food so I choose Jade Palace because it is fresh made to order where PF Chang is prefab food. I would rather have fresh food made by some familiar faces than prefab shipped in from corporate and warmed local. These people are kind and always have been to me and my guests. I am sure it is tough for the Jade Palace family to compete with corporate establishments.

Worst food around. Plus the owner was in the parking lot yelling at people going next door. Instead of asking nicely he treated them very rude. The owner should obviously work on his manors and the way he treats people in the parking lot as they might never go to his place. On and if the owner sees this… your reviews are totally negative maybe you should read them before yelling at everyone because you can’t ignore bad reviews and treat people with disrespect!!! Avoid this place… Also look at his negative health inspections 2015!!! We love their food! I’m so glad I didn’t pay any attention to the negative reviews… Their food speaks for itself.

Went at 6:00PM on Monday, doors are locked. No hours posted anywhere. Two workers inside just stared at us, instead of telling us when they’d be open.

What do you expect? Anything outside the big cities leaves alot to be desired in Chinese cuisine. Yet, it isn’t a all-you-can-eat buffet and thats an improvement. Atmosphere 90 The inside is a nice surprise Service 75 Prompt and okay Food 75 Very very average Value 75 Its all about the décor If you are in the mood for Chinese food the challenge is to find someplace better. Skip this one. Go Thai, Malaysian, Viet or Korean.

Worst Chinese food ever! Got off the plane and was starving. Decided to do take out here because it’s across the street from the hotel I’m staying. I would’ve been more satisfied eating at McDonald’s if I knew what I was getting. Ordered from the chefs special section so it must be good right? Wrong! I ordered the beef scallops which costs $ 18. I figured for $ 18 this place must be m*therf$cking delicious. Went back to the hotel room, opened my food and saw two small frozen scallops. basically, each scallop costs $ 9 each. The dish was less than mediocre. Will never come here again! Waaaay overpriced for what u get. I wouldn’t be happy with the dish if I paid $ 6 for it let alone $ 18! Ridiculous.

AVOID at all costs if you have a food allergy or sensitivity. While I was assured that my order would not contain the food to which I am sensitive(I both provided the waiter the sensitivity in writing and verbally), it did! I have spent the past hour vomiting. If you have a food allergy, you are likely to end up in the hospital. My high hopes for a new neighborhood restaurant have been dashed.

Service was poor and just blatantly rude to the folks who walked in after me. Food was, and I’m not exaggerating here, the worst«Chinese» food I can remember eating. And this really poor quality/tasting food was very expensive. In retrospect, I probably should have sent it back. For the record I had a curry noodle special and fried rice. There were no redeeming qualities of this place that I can think of… The location is convenient I suppose. But, as another reviewer mentioned, just go across the street to PF Chang’s if you’re craving something that resembles Chinese food… Price will be about the same.

Disgusting experience, had soup and crab rangoon before walking out. They charged us $ 18. The soup was bland, rangoon just tasted like onions. When asked why we were leaving i explained if soup and app was terrible in not sticking around for a $ 60 bill of disgusting food. Never again.

Disgusting customer service. Owner is truly a unique personality, he received us with a depressing and upstetting personality from there on, nothing went good. Food was not so good and for the bad welcoming I can deduct will not step a foot here. Luckily they have a PFCHANGS Right across the street. This place soon will be disappeared. Also, really dirty and desorganized, a lor of papers where scrambled around the bar.

If I could give this half a star I would. Whoever the old asian man that is a lunch server is absolutely in the wrong establishment. His attitude is horrible. W This was our second time visiting, and the pleasure of dealing with him once more. We figured maybe the first time he was having a bad day… but apparently he is always having a bad day. For food that is just okay, their service needs to help make up for it. Will not be visiting again. Rather go across the street and pay a little more for a delicious meal at P.F. Changs.

Oh sweet Jesus this place is horrible. My disappointment with Fort Lauderdale Chinese restaurants continues. From the outside it looks like a big clean modern American Chinese place. The inside is huge but over 90% of it is closed off. Red flag. The bathroom smelled a certain smell that I’ve only experienced in Taiwan. The food was terrible. Absolutely disgusting. I should have checked Unilocal before coming, oh well.

I should have listened to your reviews! Mistake to come here. Soup was old, tasted stale & had something in the noodle that wasn’t right — almost chipped a tooth. The General Tso’s Chicken was more like a Corporal’s.(attempt at humor). But really nothing funny about this place. I attempted to finish my meal but the chicken was panned fried and full if onions and not at all like it should be flavored and spiced. The broccoli was cold and lifeless the beer was cold! And hopefully it will act like an antiseptic and cleanse my intestines! Don’t think, keep walking past!

I drive by Jade Palace all the time — ALLTHETIME. I drive by it to go to other Asian restaurants. I would continually tell myself that I need to stop in and try the food. The voice in my head finally won and we stopped for dinner. The interiors feel a tad dated and are furnished in stereotypical Chinese tchotchky. It didn’t feel very clean walking to be seated and the stickiness of the table as well as the gunk underneath the items on the table didn’t help to assuage my fears of uncleanliness. I pushed through and ordered the following items: Wonton Soup Panfried Dumplings Kung Pao Chicken Generals Chicken Yeung Chow Friend Rice There are many diverse kinds of Chinese cooking out there. One of the worst is the Chinese-American variety — the cooking style that came into being due to picky Americans refusing to try new things. I am not saying I don’t partake in eating that Americanized food from time to time, but it is usually not tasty. Jade Palace is one of those restaurants that serves up a great helping of Americanized food. They try to serve a «Pan-Chinese» selection of foods, but it all tastes like it is based on the Cantonese style. Cantonese is very greasy and bland if not cooked properly. All of my food was greasy and bland. There were no vibrant flavors in anything and the heaviness wore me down. Everything tasted very similar. I don’t understand how this particular restaurant serves the food they server and stay in business. I am happy that there are others that enjoy the food, but I have no inclination to ever return. Maybe if they brought the menu out of the 80’s and into the present I might reconsider… might…

We used to come here years ago and I can’t remember why we stopped. Yes it’s a bit pricey, but I feel it was worth it. I was a bit leery when we had to ask for the waitress to take our order after being seated for 5 minutes with not even water or the typical noodles and hot tea. But once we got her attention she was accommodating for the rest of the meal. We ordered the ½ peking duck and the Roast Duck(New York crispy style), as well as a 2-person dim sum sampler. The duck came with soup and rice and I added an order of szechuan vegetables since I’m not eating rice. I judge Chinese places by their egg drop and wonton soups and this was one of the best I’ve had. Just hot enough, thick enough, and super flavorful. A lot of times I get it and it’s very watered down, bland, or cold. Wontons had just the right amount of dough cooked well so it wasn’t too gummy or chewy, and the thin strips of BBQ pork were a delicious addition. My father was happy with the hot and sour, not too much of either, a good balance. The dim sum sampler was wonderfully fresh. Crisp, hot spring rolls with perfectly tender cabbage and pork, well filled crab rangoon where you could taste the crab, juicy and perfectly cooked BBQ chicken skewers, light and flavorful dim sum, and some of the best, freshest sesame balls I’ve had in a while. The ducks came out perfectly crispy and delicious. The roast had a good slightly salty 5-spice flavor, while the peking came with its pancakes, scallions, and that delicious brown salty-sweet sauce. Wonderfully tender, fatty but not overly so. The szechuan vegetables were crisp but cooked well and the sauce actually had some good heat to it — you could see chili flakes! Restaurant atmosphere was wonderful. A bit dark on the décor, but all very upscale ornate Oriental. Bathrooms were super clean and it had a nice intimate and relaxing atmosphere. Only other complaint was after our dishes were cleared and we opted out of dessert we waited another 5 minutes before we had to ask the waitress for the check. So one star off for service(and the creepy guy hovering around the front and bar area — think he was the manager?). There were a lot of other uncommon items on the menu that we will be sure to come back and try!
