I love this place. Always have and always will. Not sure if they still deliver but it was a great thing when they did. I love anything here with Feta in it(which is almost all the dishes). Their dolmas are yummy too. I love getting a gyro omelette for breakfast and a greek salad for lunch or dinner. Their pita bread is so good too.

Fortunately Lauderdale is home to some pretty good diners. Unfortunately Victoria Park isn’t one of them. Big portions, quick, polite, efficient service, decent food, some with a Greek touch, but all in all not up to or equal to some of the other diners and diner food found in the area.

I have read some of the reviews that others have posted for this place, and there are no locals who come here, nor is it some sort of «best kept secret». It’s not one of those small, tucked away restaurants that’s a little sketch on the outside, but incredible and delicious once you get in the door. Let me be honest, this was a former Miami Subs — complete with rusting drive-thru signage(which the owners have yet to take down). . I have been here twice, as I go by the moniker, «Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.» Well, I am ashamed. I really wanted to like this place because I am a fan of Greek food, and diner food in-general when the mood strikes. I ordered the Greek sampler the first time, and quite honestly, you could go to a supermarket and buy some pita chips and hummus and not know the difference with what they served up. The second time I went, I got an egg white omelet with feta, onions and spinach. It was so overcooked, I almost gagged. It smelled like chicken, as if they cleaned the morning’s griddle by including all the scraps in my omelet. It was so disgusting… there are no more words to describe. The coffee was weak, the oj tasted fresh, and was probably the highlight of my meal. Long story short, I left hungry, and smelling like a cheap diner. The only reason it got more than one star is that the owner personally apologized for the omelet. Not a bad gesture, but not enough for me to make a third trip back.

Huge portions, pretty good diner Greek food, cheap prices and ok service. Parking can be a drag.

We come to visit my great grandma down in ft. Lauderdale about once a year and when we do we HAVE to come to Victoria park diner. It’s the place for locals and she has been coming here ever since it opened. Breakfast is always good, but the owners are Greek and they have a great Greek selection. The gyros platter is great! The service here has always been good. But 4 stars because the food is not always spot on. I’ve had disappointing meals here, but order right and you’ll be satisfied.

Victoria Park Diner is another gem of Fort Lauderdale. You wouldn’t think so on how it looks. A friend and I frequent this place every time we visit the city. The food is great and at a good price. I normally have the lamb shanks of which are beautifully cooked. The plate is always a mouth watering delite and at an easy price of $ 10.95. It is def enough to eat for dinner. You should try the Greek salads and Spanikopida. Very delicious! When you come down please check it out. A portion of their profits goes toward HIV/Aids research. You would be going for good food and a good cause!

HORRIBLEFOOD, HORRIBLESERVICE, AVOID — One of the worst meals ever. The whole place was wet, including the tables and chairs, because they had apparently just cleaned and mopped. We ordered a pork shish kabob, Greek salad, and Greek style chicken wings. Then waitress came over and plopped down two hand fulls of flatware and napkins instead of setting the table. WTF? The pork was so dry and hard, we couldn’t eat it. The chicken had no flavor despite having a pile of dried oregano dumped on top. We left most of the meal uneaten. Go here at your own peril. For good Greek food, our favorite is Greek Islands. Great food, good service, always a good experience.

Family was in the neighborhood late afternoon. We thought the food was good and prices reasonable with good portions. Service was good and the staff was pleasant.

My girlfriend and I had breakfast food, and even though what we ordered wasn’t unique or extraordinary, the taste and quality of the food was! We shared an Olympus omelet, which I think has feta, gyro meat(my first time having gyro meat with eggs), and diced vegetables. It was done right, not overly dry like omelets can be. We got hash browns which were crispy on one side and soft on the other. We also shared the banana French toast, which banana slices lovingly folded inside. I thought there could have been more egg batter around the toast for that extra smokiness, so the dish was a little bland… that is, until I sprinkled heaps of powdered sugar and covered it in maple syrup. Then, it was sweet, moist and downright addictive! I recommend trying some of their lunch and dinner items too, and I’ll do the same next time.

The food is home made and amazing. Our waitress was very friendly and brought out a bowl of water for our dog without being asked. We started with some pita bread and the best dipping sauce-spinach, feta, and sour cream! My fiancé had the gyro platter and said the lamb was perfect. It also came with a greek salad which tasted great. I had the spinach pie that was perfect. They balanced the spinach, feta, and onion so it was flavorful and almost sweet instead of being over powering with the either the taste of bitter spinach or too much feta.

Bad service with mediocre food. Should be run by real Greeks!

I came here on a whim with my friend. The food was good, prices decent(although I think I was charged double on my tip… which made it a pretty damn high tip. Ah, well).

I must say, after reading some of the other reviews, I’m wondering if we are going to the same Victoria Park Diner because we always have great food, service and leave happy and not empty pocketed. Breakfasts have always been good. The pancakes are nice and fluffy, hash browns crisp and the food comes fast. At lunch, their gyro meat is generous and flavorful. I’ve had their various braised dishes like lamb shank and osso buco specials and have always found them flavorful and tasty. I hope they stay around as it’s a nice reliable place for the Wilton Manors area.

Maybe I have a thing against diners. I keep going to them and I keep getting disappointed. I ordered a greek platter and it was disgusting. It was cold and greasy and it didn’t taste very greek to me. The waiter was really strange too. He was sporadic with the service and when he did decide to visit our table, he was strange. The place was not packed by any means but for some reason, our service was shoddy at best.

Fort Lauderdale mainstay, the Victoria Park Diner serves up a solid breakfast. Nothing fancy, just consistent comfort-type food for the most part. If you want to impress, go to Wilton Manors. Come to this diner when you want to keep it real. I just wish there was a stronger Greek influence to the place. It’s owned and operated by a Greek family and you can often see one of the Greek elders sitting at one of the counters, sporting a Greek fisherman’s hat. I haven’t had any of the Greek food there yet, since I’ve only been there for breakfast, but the Greek menu looks elaborate enough. There’s a few Greek posters up on the walls, but it leaves me wanting a little more. Maybe if I saw some old Greek sailors off to the side sitting at a lil table yelling at each other in their native tongue, sipping Ouzo; that might do the trick.

I frequently visit the Victoria Park Diner for lunch. The food is consistently excellent with a large and varied menu. Anything you would expect of a Greek diner you will find here including very reasonably priced daily lunch specials that include soup and beverage. They even have that great Greek lemon chicken soup(avgolemono!) and also the BEST spanakopita(spinach pie), gyros and tzadziki sauce(that white cucumber stuff that makes meats taste super!). A recent discovery was made when I ordered a simple hamburger with grilled mushrooms and onions — - — it was spectacular! I never imagined a Greek diner would have one of the best hamburgers I ever ate!(I’ve since had a couple more and each has been consistently EXCELLENT!) Service is always prompt, attentive and pleasant. Prices very reasonable to even being on the low side. I LOVETHISPLACE!

2 stars seems a bit low, but I really can’t justify anything more. The food and service were both just barely ok… I’m not sure it’s fair to judge a typical diner on eggs benedict, but if it’s on your menu you should be able to do better than burnt to a black crisp muffin covered in flavorless sauce and runny eggs. Oh and the ham was nearly impossible to cut which resulted in quite a mess but whatever, that’s not all that uncommon. The boy had pancakes and seemed to be ok with them, but nothing was better than I’ve cooked at home(and that’s saying alot cause i’m not great with pancakes.). The one plus I can think of was juice came in a big cup instead of the dinky little juice cups. Oh, and they serve breakfast all day long. All in all, it was just not cheap enough to be barely ok. I honestly think I’d rather have gone to Ihop(gasp!)…

I find myself using Victoria Park Diner as a fallback. I don’t come here necessarily because I crave or love anything that they have, but because I know that I will not hate what I order. I, personally, always get the same thing while my friend likes to mix up his menu from time to time. For this visit, we had: Gyro(minus onion and tzitziki on the side) with fries Chicken noodle soup Turkey, stuffing and gravy with fries Iced Tea and water The service is never the best in the world and you will usually have to flag down the waitstaff in order to get served sooner or to be able ask for anything. I have never had the same server and so I know this is a trend with the Diner’s waitstaff. Having ordered our meal from the extensive menu, our server brought the chicken noodle soup. It was not overly salty, but it did have a preponderance of celery and use noodles that tend to get mushy in the soup. I am not a fan of celery. As a plus, though, it is made with real chicken and carrots. Our dinners arrived and I was happy. The gyro is my staple at this restaurant. It is a good gyro and really the only reason I still patronize this restaurant. The pita is a tad crisp and is not very cohesive and falls apart while you are eating, but the flavor is not bad. The meat is obviously freshly shaved from the spit but doesn’t enjoy the additional crisping that the better Greek Restaurants give to it. The tzitziki borders on being over-seasoned, but it has always tipped to the side of being well-seasoned. The gyro comes with a plethora of meat and tomato shoveled into the pita; I wind up eating half of the innards with the tzitziki sauce before taking the rest and eating it like a sandwich. I never really touch the fries; they just happen to come with the sandwich. They taste as though they have been triple and quadruple fried to give the presence of being fresh. Vast amounts of ketchup are required for me to eat them. The new entrée for the day was the Turkey Dinner. It is normally on the menu, but today it was a special. All this means is that the soup is included in the price. At the inception of the meal, we had asked for some extra gravy for the french fries that accompanied the turkey — that stellar service brought it halfway through my gyro. It was at this point I decided to see what flavors were awaiting in that far off entrée. I first went for a piece of sliced turkey and and removed some of the excess gravy from it – the gravy looked like it came from a jar and I have never been fond of jar gravy. As I closed my mouth about the turkey I almost vomited. The flavor made me just want to expel the contents of my mouth immediately. I wasn’t about to try the fries with gravy. Being a great lover of stuffing, though, I felt compelled to at least give what was on the plate a chance. I really should have known better after trying the gravy; this time I COULDNOT keep the contents in my mouth. It was THAT bad. The best way to describe the stuffing would be to describe how to make it: 1. Take one part spice cake with one part carrot cake and mix with 1 part water. 2. Mash all three ingredients together. 3. Bake at 100 deg for 15 minutes. Bleh. I have those convulsions each time I think about that one bite of turkey and that one bite of stuffing. Suffice to say, I shant ever try the turkey dinner again. On the converse, I will return for the gyro when I am unable to make a decision about what else to eat.

I’ve been to VP diner twice now and both of my experiences have been the same — OK but not the best. Saturday mornings are always super busy. We’ve walked in and are always seated quickly, take our orders quickly, but then sit and wait for quite some time for our food and refills. That said, the staff is extremely friendly, the food is good, and the price is right. If the service was just a little better I would probably give 4 stars…
