We were headed to Doc Fords and ended up in this parking lot. What can I say… Loved the atmosphere, on the water, beautiful views, great service and the hogfish sandwich was the bomb! Amy was a great server. Yummy!

My family (3 children under 5 yrs) and I arrived on the island around lunch and looked for a good fish taco and they had what we were looking for! I ordered chicken tacos, parents had fish tacos, kids are chicken tenders. Great experience

Great out of the way spot with an awesome view! All the seafood is fresh and there is a fresh fish of the day. I went rogue and got the seafood salad which was pretty amazing! I was there for lunch and will hopefully make it back for dinner. The large bar area and view would make for a great place to spend Friday night.

My wife and I ate there and are now fans. The hog fish is some of the best fish you will eat. The shrimp scampi is also a big hit.
Great food in an old Florida-​style atmosphere.
If you go, you will not be disappointed.

wonderful location, cold beer, spectacular view, much better than expected food.
Pretty good help most of the time. We love this place and go here often. Love anything they do with hogfish… the ceviche, their chips, it’s all good.

Read the reviews and ibwas excited to get here. The view was great vut the prices were cray cray! $ 15.95 for a fish sandwich! I couldnt do it! Im not a cheap person but im grabbing my bud light and headed out :-(

The setting is unbeatable! You are so close to the water, you could nearly reach out and touch the passing boats! Wonderful!
Then the food… is awesome! Had several items over several visits and all our meals have been consistent great! The beer is cold and the cocktails are good!
Mussels, cechive, sandwiches have all been great! Attentive fun staff, live solo musicians makes Dixie a home run!

Great lunch today at Dixie Fish Co. My wife had their Shrimp Burger which she said was loaded with shrimp. I had their Shrimp Corn Chowder which was also full of shrimp and a Cornmeal Fried Grouper sandwich. Great flavor and a lot of grouper.
Cute place right on the water. We’ll be back.

This is a great location right on the water. We sat at the bar and had wings and beer. The wings were a good size and tasty, the only thing lacking was celery, I can’t say I have ever had wings without celery :(They have a good selection of beers including crafts and beers from local breweries. Unfortunately they serve in plastic due to lack of space to keep glasses behind the bar but it is an outside style bar so it works ok. The staff is friendly, they have several tv’s and live music at night. The live music was great, just a one man show not a loud band which is perfect for this location. This is an outdoor building, there is no air conditioning but there are a few fans to move the air when its hot. This is one of our favorite locations off FMB. Enjoy!

doc fords but it is a World apart (in my opinion)!! Great kitchen, very nice staff, Amazing food. Wife had the shrimp burger; I had the hog fish sandwich coconut style. Bravo, we will be back. A bit pricey but a definitely welcome addition to Ft Myers Beach

Great outdoor restaurant, albeit with what I consider to be a very limited menu. What the do, they do very well. I started with the fried green tomatoes, which were excellent and as a single diner, were enough for a meal. Unfortunately, I also ordered the hogfish sandwich, which was excellent; therefore, I could barely move when I was finished. I am not a fish lover or even much of a liker, but I really enjoyed the hogfish sandwich. I took away a star because of the small menu and, as a single diner eating at the bar, wouldn’t have minded the not busy bartenders to smooze with me a little.

Sister restaurant to Doc Ford’s 30 feet away. The food was delicious and the view was spectacular. What really put it over the top was the live entertainment, although some times the noise level got to be a bit much.
Little pricey, but you really are paying for the most chill restaurant in the area.

This place was great. The food was greAt. Much better then their (highly over-​rated tourist trap) neighbor restaurant (whom I gather actually owns this place).

If you are traveling give this place a try. Also prices are better than most. Food is flavorful and well executed. Highly recommend.

Not only is the atmosphere delightful and laid back — can’t beat views right on the water of the inter-​coastal! — but the food is some of the best bar fare I have ever had. I think I can safely say they make my absolute favorite sandwich of all time — the BLTAE (their version of the classic with avocado and fried egg, and fried green tomato). This is a menu item that simply cannot be missed. Another fantastic option — the fish sandwich. Great quality and flavor (go for the coconut finish!). There may not be a lot of option on the menu, but with these 2 winners, you don’t need anything else!

A lucky find down on fisherman a wharf. An old fish house that has been vacant for the last 3 years. Recently renovated by the adjacent Doc Ford’s Rum Bar and Grille. A real open air gem right on the water. They feature a catch of the day from the local gulf and surrounding waters down to the Keys. They have a small starter menu that just covers a small amount of the wonderful food that is offered. In fact the special board is larger than the menu. They tell that next menu revision will include many of the current specials. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is fantastic. I have been a Grouper fan until trying today’s catch, Hogfish!!! Everything here is fabulous, not just according to me but everyone around us! We highly recommend this quaint little spot!
