Grimaldi’s Pizzeria

This pizza is great I order it pretty often, they have messed up my order before but they fixed it and were apologetic. I suggest trying the «Quattro Forgimadi» or whatever it’s called, four cheese pizza light on the Gorgonzola. Yum!

I was a little nervous to try it. I went to the one in Long Island and it was terrible. I have been going to the one in Brooklyn for at least 20 years. This one was equally as good. I was pleasantly surprised. I have gotten the same pizza all these years. A large pepperoni.

Amazing pizza. Just like NYC. The kids were entertained watching them make the pizzas. One of the best I’ve had.
Visited in 2012 and 2016, both times were excellent.

I do not understand how this restaurant is 4.5 stars. This was hands down the worst dining experience I ever encountered. The food was good don’t get me wrong but the service made me regret my choice for dinner. Our server was so rude, and miserable.

Nice restaurant pizza is prepared fresh, just above average for an upscale pizza place. It was overpriced in my opinion. It’s not the best pizza, I have had better.

The only reason they don’t get five starts is because they don’t have banana peppers and those are my favorite :)
Their mozzarella cheese is so scrumptious.
Their crust is a must and I’m not a crust girl at all.

This is by far my favorite pizza place.
I like their pizza so much for almost 2 years I didn’t know they don’t serve anything else but pizza. I never went to look.
Pepperoni is the best I’ve ever had.
Only issue I have is orders will always be later then they say. (–1 Star)

Ordered to-​go pizzas. The pick up was a very good experience as staff was very helpful, professional and lively with a great sense of humor. My wait was good but what I was about to eat was out of this world incredibly tasty. This was pizza at its New York best. We ordered the Brooklyn Bridge pizza and added meatballs to the roasted red peppers and Quattro fomaggio and added bacon. Holy Mac… superb. We finished with cannolis that were also very good.

It’s been a long while since we’ve been into Grimaldi’s and can I say… nice surprise and completely satisfied with everything we ordered! They do have a decent wine list and happened to have one of our favorites from Australia; 19 Crimes… yum! Since we were settled in with a little vino we decided to start with the Kale Romaine Salad (small size is enough for two) and it was great! All the kale and romaine was fresh and crisp with added Greek Olives, fresh shaved Parmesan, artichokes, red onion and a wonderful lemon vinegarette that made your palate feel citrusy and clean! Once the pizza arrived there was no talking at the table for at least the finish of the first slice… so good! This pizza is thin crust and the dough has a wonderful fresh sour-​dough-​esk flavor with spicy little pepperoni wheels on top. Excellent! Great food and if your wanting to shop or see a movie before or after your meal its conveniently located in The Bell Tower Shops! Great for a lunch date with friends, date night or just taking the family out to a slice of something better than Chuck E Cheese!

A pretty good comparison to the original New York Grimaldi’s, but the sauce was a little tasteless. It lacked salt, so I just piled on the salt & red pepper to give it a bit more flavor. The sizes are personal, small, & large, but the small is pretty big, so be careful not to over order. Two of us shared a small pizza & a small Grimaldi’s salad and it was the perfect amount of food. Service was good & quick once we sat down. Good size red wine pours as well for the price. Popular spot in town, so be prepared to wait. Bell Towers is a cute shopping center, so at least you can walk around until they text you your table is ready.

I’ve eaten at Grimaldi’s in Brooklyn, NY, and Old Scottsdale, AZ, and was pleasantly surprised to learn that there’s a location in Fort Myers, FL. We had a small Quattro Formaggi and a large Italian sausage and fresh basil. Both pies were delicious. The Quattro Formaggi actually has five different cheeses, not four; mozzarella, asiago, parmesan, pecorino romano and gorgonzola. They don’t homogenize the cheeses, so you can taste more of one cheese or another in each bite. The sausage and basil had a little bit more sauce and a lot more toppings than you’d get in Brooklyn. I’m not a fan of wet pies, so less sauce would have been better, but the lack of stinginess with the toppings was much appreciated. If you’re craving or want to experience a New York-​style pie, Grimaldi’s is the place.

Really good pizza — love the thin crust. Wine list listed several wines and a few nice ones. They were out of many as they were changing over to a new list soon. Order a very satisfactory ‘If You See Kay’ Cabernet based red blend from Napa. Three of us shared a large spinach salad as a side. With our large veggie pizza. Both were excellent. Very good service made a pleasant first nite in town following a later flight in.

We only had pizza and we can say it was delicious. It isn’t cheap, but everything is first rate. Thin New York style crust done in a wood fired oven. The sauce tasted fresh and they fresh mozzarella cheese really makes a difference. We ordered pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms. The sausage was EXCELLENT. Plenty of it and just he way I like it – not sliced sausage links, but bulk sweet Italian style sausage with fennel. Even the pepperoni was different. Not the typical Hormel (which is fine), but something a little thicker and distinctive.
Hard to critically judge service since we were there after the lunch hour and it was slow inside, but it was fine. The manager even came over to ask how everything was, a nice touch.
Nicely done inside with red checked table cloths and vintage photographs. Has an upscale feel. We would definitely return.

Great pizza! Thin crust New York style– best around! Sweet roasted red peppers ricotta cheese and mild Italian sausage! Great price great service good times– this is a wonderful place– and the have outside patio seating where they welcome your four legged furry family members! Highly recommend!

Can’t go wrong with this place! We often come here for a fun night out with lots of friends. Great pizza! We usually do the veggie add chicken and maybe one with sausage and mushrooms. The «small» can feed 2 very hungry people easily. Huge salads! Greek/​Mediterranean is my fave. Nice wines. The atmosphere isn’t fancy but you’re getting really good quality food. Love it here!

What a treasure to find such good pizza outside of New York or Chicago. I used Unilocal to locate to locate this gem of a place. We were expecting to have to wait but to our surprise we got seated immediately. Our server was Ryan and he was just awesome at providing top notch service.
We ordered the white with garlic, fresh mozzarella cheese and added bacon which were huge pieces! I had the Don which had fresh meatballs. The crust was tossed perfectly and flaky true perfection!
We finished off with a piece of tiramisu and the peppermint cheesecake. It was pure heaven.
This is going to be our spot for pizza. Perfect 5 stars, great food, great people!

I’m glad I dropped in here for lunch! Always been on the list because of all the publicity it gets about its mother restaurant in Brooklyn. Nice Bar tender, very attentive. I had the Spinach Salad to start and it was right on point with a very good balsamic dressing, some good bacon, bleu cheese and red onions. Onto the pie, dun dun dun… It was good, well made, choice toppings, that crispy char from the brick oven pizza was good! I’m glad I got it here with very little wait time compared to up there where it’s reportedly a 2 hour wait! In the end I’d go back but it’s not the best in town that’s for sure! Nice try though!

I love the many options you can choose from here. You can get half and half of anything! I don’t think he got our order of half white, half traditional right, but it was still a good pizza!
Originally, we wanted to do the sampler dessert, but apparently it isn’t worth it. Instead, our server convinced us to do 3 desserts. I’m not sure if it’s because that costs more, and therefore he would get more tip, but we fell for it anyway. It really is only a few dollars more, and you get much bigger portions. The tiramisu was definitely the best, so if you had to choose one, go with tiramisu!

WOW…three of us ordered two pizzas!
Another consideration is the ingredients we chose for our pies were of excellent quality we thought.
Wood fired and thin crispy crust made this pizza so tasty.
AND they have Peroni on tap which is my favorite Italian beer.
The wine list is HUGE too.
We brought pizza home that we didn’t finish there to eat later at home for dinner.
Remember that they close between 4:00 and 5:00 pm for some odd reason, at least they did yesterday.
Service was very good from a friendly server.
