Salmon bento, heartattack, gop-dol bibimbop, spicy tuna roll… It’s all delicious! The owner(Mr. Kim) is such a nice man who always makes us feel welcomed. It’s such a warm and friendly place with delicious Japanese /Korean food. They are known for their ‘melt in your mouth’ salmon. Try it!

We eat here often. Food is good. Sushi is fresh with many traditional and fusion rolls. The menu has many selections for those in the family that do not like sushi. Excellent drink menu and bar selection. Service can be a little slow at times but that leaves more time to converse and relax. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I’ve been coming here ever since I moved here for school. This is by far the best sushi place in Fort Wayne. I usually go around happy hour(after 4:30PM) and get their special 3 roll combination. They have a list from each combo and you basically pick it from that selection. Your meal includes soup or salad. Some of my favorites are: mango tango, king salmon, rainbow, white tiger, sunshine, vegas roll, and many more that I can’t remember! As for service, make sure you don’t go around holidays, weekends or a big party because it can be REALLY slow and you might end up waiting for over an hour. There’s only one sushi chef so I prefer to go only during the weekdays. Other than their service, great sushi for a small town.

Just awesome… I have been to a few different sushi restaurants… lots of different types of Asian cuisine… We just happened to run across this place on a business lunch, and I was VERY impressed. Food was extremely fresh, with no frozen foods that I could see. What was supposed to be hot, was hot. What was supposed to be cold, was cold. Flavors were distinct, and the server(not even a little bit Asian) was VERY friendly and helpful. I always want to shy away from a 5 star rating or a 1 star rating, but I just have no reason to give this place 4 stars. It exceeded all my expectations.

I am a die hard Sushi lover. Love Japanese cuisine in general. I eat Sashimi and most rolls. The prices are good here, the food good too. This visit my soup was warm, not so good. We waited a bit too long for our Sushi and they weren’t busy. Other times I’ve been here the food, service, ambience would have gotten 5 stars. Hopefully the lukewarm soup and service were just a fluke.

Great environment that set a good mood to eat sushi. The waitress was extremely nice and. very prompt. I sat at the sushi bar and it was entertaining to watch him make sushi. I got the crunch roll and i highly recommend it. Also there ginger salad was very good. Good environment for dates or family.

We love Sushiya-US! We have been coming here for the last 2 years and have never been disappointed. We do have our favorite items… #1) Heart Attack(appetizer) #2) Mount Fuji(roll) #3) Rainbow Roll(classic) That being said, we like a lot of other menu choices as well. I love their ginger dressing & we usually opt for the clear soup. We have tried most of the other sushi places in town but we always end up back here. The chef is pretty awesome… Not only has he given us food free, just to try, I’ve also acquired a very nice set of chopsticks for being the 25th customer, on a special day. If you love sushi and great service, do yourself a favor and try the place out!

The food was good. Service was slow though. As I was eating, I noticed how some were waiting for a while to get seated. At one point, one of the sushi chefs had to seat somebody. Food delivery was slow too. Ordered an appetizer and two sushi rolls, I got each roll first separately and then got my appetizer.

The menu here is a little overdone… but some of the fusion rolls are fantastic. It’s not traditional sushi, so don’t expect that. This is a bizarre mash-up of flavor a that can be surprisingly good. Some of the sushi rolls look like deserts! Sake bomb specials are decent… worth a stop. Check out happy hour specials too. There are some good deals to be had.

TERRIBLE! By far the worst sushi I’ve had. Being close to my house I thought I would give it a shot. I ordered 2 rolls and it cost me 22 bucks. Both rolls were small and mainly rice. You are better off going a few miles down the road to Kroger for more affordable sushi. However, Asakusa is the best sushi in Fort Wayne.

A very extensive selection of sushi and other Asian cuisine, but nothing particularly out of the ordinary. The carpet was stained and really needed to be cleaned, but the rest of the restaurant was nice and elegant.

Pretty good. Went for lunch with my father-in-law who is discovering just how tasty Japanese food can be. I had three rolls and he had the Shrimp tempura bento box. He was happy with everything he ordered, but it was a crazy lot of food. He took more than half of it home with him. The menu was a little misleading, it said he could have white or fried rice, but they charged him a $ 1 for the fried rice. My rolls were all good, but came out at different times which was a little annoying. The rainbow roll was the best. The fish tasted fantastic. I also had the Ivy roll which was only OK. The«assorted vegetables» was just iceberg lettuce and the sweet sauce was just a little too sweet. The crunch of it all was quite nice and the tenderloin was tender, but it just didn’t quite come together. I can’t recall what the other roll was, but it had eel and was delicious. I’d go back again, but I still like Asakusa’s better. For one thing, the atmosphere is nicer at Asakusa’s.

Had dinner with my wife. We had the Red Snapper Sushi as an appetizers. It was good the snapper tasted very sweet and fresh. For main course we had two rolls The Hawaiian Volcano and the Diablo. We like spicy and these did not disappoint they were quite good. The staff is outstanding we actually forgot our leftover box on the table and the hostess brought it out to the parking lot to us.

We crept slowly to our seats, our steps echoing off of the walls. The 3 other patrons did not dare speak for fear of meeting«the knife». The waitress did not know very much about the food but they had beer — so far, so good. The sushi is listed alphabetically which would be helpful if the names actually described the sushi roll. I had the diablo and dragon rolls because I focused on the«D» section of the menu. Both of them tasted the same: bland and cold. If you have a friend who is on the fence about trying sushi, take them here and ensure they never try again. Another member of the party had the steak fillet which turned out to be a fatty sirloin disguised as a fillet. The«fillet» was coupled with an ice cold potato cake and some kind of shrimp rolls. They were as good as the sushi. We half halfheartedly«complained» to the manager who was a cool dude who was on our side! «No way that’s a fillet! You get a free meal! We just opened and have no idea what is going on.» he said. If you like sushi I highly recommend you go here! While you’re here, I will be at Asakusa enjoying good food.

I just had lunch at this new«Asian Fusion» restaurant, «Sushiya-US». It has mostly Japanese style food with a few Korean dishes mixed in. It’s located almost next door to the«Anytime Fitness» Gym on Dupont Road, adjacent to Dupont Hospital. I had the«Chicken Yaki Udon» noodle dish, which had pan fried noodles(a bit thicker than fettucini noodles), grilled chicken and the chef”s «special sauce». It was very good! My wife and son had«Bento Box» lunches(Japanese style black & red compartmented lacquer boxes). She had the«Beef Teriyaki» and he had the«Salmon Teriyaki». They were also very good. They came with various side dishes, like fried veggie sushi rolls, avocado/cucumber rolls, tossed salad with ginger dressing, fried ground taro root, and steamed rice. The items on their menu are a bit pricy for Fort Wayne, around $ 10 — $ 15, but very well prepared, presented, and delicious.
