There was once a time over a couple of years or so ago where I would have rated the Nook higher than 5 stars if I could. Sadly, that is no longer the case. The ownership changed hands. Most if not all of the original, friendly, and super-efficient wait staff is gone. I stayed there through the ownership change to give it a chance for the new owner to work out the kinks. After a last straw terrible experience, I won’t be going back. So much for over 4 years of loyalty.

Had an appointment at Dupont this morning, and decided to try Kari’s for breakfast. It was awesome! I had the meat lovers skillet and was very satisfied, and the portion was so big I brought half of it home! We love supporting small business, and Kari is someone we look forward to visiting in the future.

Walked in because of the sign that read ‘homemade beef & noodles’. It was very very good. In a strip mall with several good options don’t skip Kari’s. Servers went out their way to provide for us & our little kids. Kari was there, says the meatloaf is spectacular. They also have a punch card loyalty program that’s a good deal.

I had one of the worst experiences ever at this restaurant and I do not recommend it for anyone. I brought the matter to the owner and the owner didn’t climb to do anything about it. She just told me that I should go elsewhere. The wait staff was nice but that day my service was slow, my food with cold old and not edible.
