Still just good food! Love the seafood bruschetta!

You seriously cannot beat this place. The food is simply amazing, the managers and servers are all amazing as well. Everyone is so friendly and you are well taken care of. I have tried several items on the menu and each time I think I’ve found my fave thing until I try something else. They have a great variety so no matter what your in the the mood for, you’ll have choices. The managers always come around and greet you at the tables as well as the bar. I love sitting at the bar as it has such a nice ambiance and it’s a great way to meet and talk to people. While I do love sitting at the bar, I’ve had to move a few times as I prefer to sit at the end, but in the evenings when I’m there for dinner, the bright Texas sunshine will literally blind you. With the awesome outdoor seating that they offer, it would be great if they would put up a sunscreen of some sort so that I(and other guests) wouldn’t have to move to a different seat. All in all, this place is the place to be if you’re looking for amazing food and great service.

I’m going with a happy medium review. Our very first visit was incredible, we really felt we got the value for our money, the crab legs were good sized, the appetizers were incredible! There were not many people in there at that time. On this visit it was packed and when we received our crab boil which we customized to include a full pound and a half of crab with a full pound of shrimp and a half a pound of sausage, we received the smallest skinniest meal I have seen for that money, roughly 60 $. The crab legs were tiny, very hard to open tiny claws, it was only about 8 small slices of sausage, they forgot our shrimp and the spicy sauce we got was more like a blistering Inferno. We requested our free shrimp eggrolls as our Unilocal check in gift yet we were still charged for those on the bill. The owner is a very nice person, we did not complain about anything other than just ask for what we paid for(shrimp). I don’t think we will be returning, there are just too many places doing this and doing this with more generosity.

Phenomenal! The shrimp boil is great and the pasta is good. A must try. Not great atmosphere for kids but great for a date night!

I was not particularly impressed with our visit. It’s not terrible or great but I didn’t feel it was anywhere near worth the money. When we go out for seafood, it won’t be here.

Really enjoyed this spot. Hidden in a step center. Inside and outside dining. Nice atmosphere casual dining. Wide array of seafood items on the menu. Service was good. Would definitely return.

Blu Crab is and always will be my favorite restaurant. Right next to the Sprint store in the Ridglea district, it’s a quaint(but fancy) little restaurant with fantastic service, food, and music! I’ve basically become a regular over the last few months. The manager, Eric always greets me with a smile when I see him up at the bar and Amy is my favorite waitress. I try to come visit at least twice a month. Definitely try the crab cakes, fried shrimp egg rolls, Cajun boil fest, or any of their seafood bowls. It’s ALL delicious! Plus it’s not too pricy either.

Food is amazing! I custom ordered a grilled chicken Po Boy! It was really good and the chicken was tender and flavorful. My most favorite part of the evening was dessert! I highly recommend the bread pudding with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! You’re diet will clearly be thrown out of the window when you eat this thing! The size was great, my wife and I could not even finish the whole thing. I felt bad throwing the rest away.

Wow. First time to dine here and it was great. Got us in on Mothers Day. Soft Shell Crab beats papadeux hands down. We will be revisiting this restaurant again soon. The blackened tilapia étouffée was awesome.

Let’s start with the ambiance, clean and a little upscale. Friendly hostesses and server. Early dinner on Saturday we were about 15 minutes early for our reservation. We were seated quickly. I had looked at the menu online and I was surprised and grateful that they actually post their menu prices online! How refreshing! The crawfish empanadas were very good. Hot and fresh. The salad was very good and the dressing head made from scratch. The bread was pretty good. The fish plate we had was tasty and hot. Will I be back, honestly probably not. Boo Rays in lake worth is way better for Cajun/seafood. Just not worth what I would have had to pay if it were not for the Groupon. Think you pay a bit extra because the restaurant is located in the camp Bowie area.

Great place to eat! Service was friendly and attentive. I realize this is a seafood place and various items could be cooked using the same utensils so we always have a special request. My mom loves fish but is highly allergic to shellfish. At other places they have not been so careful or attentive and my mom has had reactions breaking out in hives. But again, she loves her fish and they made sure when preparing it that it was not mixed with anything touching any type of shellfish. Kudos to y’all! My boyfriend and I had fried platters… So bad for us but so good. Great fried oysters! We enjoyed our food so much we only got a chance to take a picture of dad’s to go order when we dropped mom off! Definitely give this place a try!

Excellent food. The Cajun boil was fantastic and the server was amazing. I highly recommend the sausage. Spicy has some decent heat. Flaming is pretty hot. Comparable to a habanero sauce. Great service and awesome food.

I ordered crawfish and king crab legs. The crawfish was perfectly seasoned but my crab legs were a bit salty. I suggest you guys order mild seasoning and add on more spice if needed!

Great crawfish! Full Monty is the way to go. They were pretty small, but full of flavor. We also had the oysters as an appetizer– very delicious! As far as service goes, I give them 5 stars! I was so excited about eating delicious crawfish, that I mistakingly left my credit card on the table when I left. I realized it later that night, and they made sure to keep it safe until I came back to get it. I really appreciated that! We will definitely be back :)

Its birthday dinner for this old boy and I had a craving for some seafood. After a few years of getting the boil at Joes Crab Shack it was time to elevate my game. We did a little research on Unilocal, called my buddy Big Larry and off to Fort Worth we went to visit the Blue Crab. The Blue Crab is located right next to Ridglea theater in a small strip mall. The interior is adequate and it has a nice bar where we sat up front. There is actually a small bar in the back that had a cool little dining room for private parties and busy nights. We were seated by a nice waitress and we got our drinks and ordered quickly. I got the steam pot with shrimp, snow crab, king crab and sausage. It came with corn and potatoes and I got the spicy seasoning. When it came out I couldnt believe how much I had gotten but I went right after it. It was absolutely delicious and the seafood was fresh too. Honestly it was the best boil and seafood since I got to Texas 14 years ago from the Northeast. She got the mixed seafood grill and also really enjoyed hers as well. Big larry got the same boil but with lobster and he coulnt even finish it all and his wife got the seafood trio. Everyones belly was filled and we all agreed this was an outstanding seafood restaraunt. We had been looking for a great place for seafood and I believe we finally found it here in Fort Worth. I think my boil cost about 40 bones maybe a few dollars more and here mixed seafood grill was 26. It was a bit spendy but good seafood aint cheap and this was worth it. Definately going back sometime soon! Blue Crab deserves a solid 4.5 stars!

Came here on a Sunday for dinner and liked everything that we ordered. Checked in for the first time and got some shrimp egg rolls that were fresh, crispy, different(reminds me of Chinese vegetable egg rolls except with shrimp). The wife ordered stuffed shrimp with rice and green beans which and I ordered the catfish platter with curly fries and coleslaw. The food was fresh, but on the pricey side. Nearby tables ordered the boiled seafood which looked delicious, will try that next time. Our service was above average. The waitress was polite and anticipated our needs. A mistake on the order was quickly rectified and we ended up with extra food. Manager stopped by at tables to greet guests. Overall, this is a good date night spot with good food, a bar and good seafood. Definitely worth a try for the seafood lovers, esp with Groupon deal.

Love it! Food 5/5, service 4/5, atmosphere 4⁄5 We(my friend and I) started by sharing the seafood fondue, which is basically a large molten seafood queso. The cheese wasn’t overwhelming and paired great with the baguettes, and the pico de gallo was an excellent fresh addition. It can actually be shared between 4+ people so we had to take some home. Not complaining. However, the downside was that there wasn’t much seafood at all. The most we had was about 5 pieces of shrimp and all the other buddies were diced really small, making it even less hearty and satisfying in the seafood department. We had to fight for the crawfish. Though it was good, It wasn’t quite worth $ 12. Next, we shared the fried shrimp po boy. OMG perfect!!! The shrimp was fried perfectly– just light and crispy enough to give you that satisfying crunch without drying out the inside. The shrimps were also HUGE. The buttery toasted baguette was also perfectly crispy on the outside while remaining soft on the inside, letting you bite in and not claw the roof of your mouth off. The remoulade was also very very good. Overall, 5⁄5. Very filling. Next was the fried catfish platter and fries(we’re hungry girls). Both were extremely fresh and in healthy portion. The batter was a bit thicker than I’d like but it was still a solid meal. I just tend to like things fishier than most people. Our server checked on us constantly to make sure everything was okay, but it was in more of a rushed«I’m just here to stop by so I can say I checked on you» sort of deal, like at sonic with the skates, except it wasn’t busy here. But she was still polite either way. Atmosphere was strange for a lunch hour, sort of dark and dive-y, where it’s obvious that this place is meant to be more of an after sunset sort of intimate bar. We sat at the booths instead of the tables because the place is sort of small and the tables seemed crowded. We should have sat outside. But who cares! I’m here for the food, and that and the Bloody Mary was great. Overall, great place. Looking forward to trying other things.

A solid five across the board. I actually discovered Blu Crab while surfing Groupons. They had a nice discount Groupon and decided to give them a try. Being a guy who loves seafood I went into with low expectations. It is usually my experience the seafood is frozen. The restaurant is located adjacent to the historic theater on Camp Bowie. A very upscale trendy restaurant that offers both indoor and outdoor dining. Monday and Tuesday evenings they offer a 50% discount to all bottled wines. They also have a full service bar and a nice variety of beers on tap. The service is excellent. The bartender was very helpful selecting a wine that would compliment my dinner. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the various entrees and the various market prices. All their seafood is flown in fresh daily. I highly recommend the crab cake appetizer or the seafood bruschetta. I selected the seafood pot and selected the Snow Crab, Shrimp, Lobster tail and Sausage. It comes with corn on the cob and baby red potatoes. The seasoning they use for the boil is incredible. I can honestly say that the seasoning is better than Louisiana, Maryland or Alaska boils I have tried. I am not sure of the recipe but I would buy the seasoning if they bottledit for sale. I highly recommend Blu Crab. It Rocks!!!

Great seafood for Fort Worth! Ordered the seafood platter that consisted of crawfish, crabs, shrimp, potato, and corn. I like my food spicy and I ordered it at the spiciest. It was spicy but could of been more spicy. But still delicious! Call for market prices! This restaurant is upscale compared to your regular seafood joint. Very nice, chic, and modern. Victor. The manager I believe is very friendly and welcoming. I called last minute on a Saturday to ask if they were busy to see if I could make reservations and he more than happy to help me. I will be coming back!

Seafood restaurants are pretty scarce in Fort Worth. So glad Blu Crab opened up. It’s a nice little restaurant with an intimate feel for a date night. They have seafood boils you pick your seafood. They got you covered if you are in need of a crab fix. snow crab, blue crab, dungeoness crab, king crab. The other options are lobster, shrimp, and crawfish. I believe you can also pick sausage instead of seafood. You pick a seasoning either Nawlin’ Style or the Full Monty. I get the Full Monty which is garlic butter and cajun seasoning. Then you pick if you want it spicy or mild. The seafood is always fresh and delicious. Besides the seafood boils they have tacos, po boys, fried fish, grilled fish, and more. They have a variety of sauces for your grilled fish. I’m a simple girl that just likes garlic butter, but I bet the other sauces are great. The grilled Mahi Mahi is lovely. They give you a big size portion of my favorite fish! The sides are awesome as well. I’ve had the grits, potatoes, mushrooms, and vegetable medley. First time ever having Crème Brulee was here! Loved it. We definitely will return soon! A date night is long over due for us =)
