Great steak and veggies n bread. Mood is awesome. Got a free appetizer from staying at hyatt place up the street n asking what’s good around here. Happy hour would have been cool, but showed up late. Get the prime rib!

I’m so sad to announce that this location has closed. My husband and I celebrated every special occasion at The Keg. The food was incredible and the service was always on par. I hope they reopen another one in Fort Worth.

They have closed this location. Other locations are still open in Arlington and Las Colinas.

One of the top 3 steakhouses I have been to. It is pricey but worth every penny. The blue cheese sirloin is epic. Add a Manhattan and your night is perfect.

Both being in the mood for Prime Rib my wife and I tried«The Keg» for the first time last night. Essentially I am not a fan of steak restaurants, if I want a good steak I know how to buy one(hint you are not going to find it at Walmart or Albertsons, and it will never have been frozen!) and cook it myself. But first, the host ended up being our waiter. We specified that we wanted a booth, and he told us he would clear one for us and it would take a few minutes more. We were quickly seated and our waiter was perfectly attentive. Our drinks were made with good quality liquor, and the wine prices were fair. The atmosphere was comfortable. The beef we had for Prime Rib was a great cut… plenty of flavor, without massive fat pockets that you occasionally get. The sides were perfect. The crab cakes were more of a mid western style, a little too much breading, not enough lump, but we are in Texas. We shared a starter salad, and our server made two salads for us, I suspect he increased the portion size for us. All in all a nice night out

I have always had excellent service at this restaurant. The drinks are not watered down like some other places and the steaks are incredibly tender and flavorful. The epitome of quality. What else is there to say besides my last visit was fantastic. Doug Ashe

Loves this place! We went here for our anniversary and it was great. I had the filet and my wife had the pistachio crusted salmon, she said it was one of the best meals she ever had. My steak was very tender and cooked just the way I requested. My meal came with a Caesar salad and it was huge and also very good. For dessert we had the key lime pie(made from scratch) again it was good and a very large portion. I would def recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion. We ended up spending $ 100 with the tip but it was well worth the money. Thanks The Keg for making my anniversary even better.

The Keg is tucked away off of 820 near Mimi’s Café. Their food is good. It’s a nice cozy restaurant to relax on a date or something. The steaks aren’t bad. I like their twiced baked potatoes! Their wedge salads too. They say they are open until 12 am, but you can’t order off the regular menu after 9. Only the bar menu. Kind of sucks. Not everyone is a drinker. I may want steak at 11 at night and not garlic cheese toast or nachos. Lol, who really needs something that heavy that late at night before they go to bed though. However, not everyone gets off at work at a reasonable time though and should be able to get a steak at 10:00 pm!

The food was good, and our female waitress was good, but a male waiter was shouting at his customers… not in a mean way, just loudly. Also when served his appetizer a different server reached in front of me to serve my husband rather than walking around. If it’s a posh restaurant the people need to be trained to talk softly and about etiquette. Also the male waiter had on very strong after shave that was very off-putting with the food.

We didn’t order the Mother’s Day menu we ordered of the regular menu. Steak was excellent. I ordered a filet Oscar with asparagus and Cesar salad. Wasn’t Impressed with the bread or the Cheese cake. I used to go for the cheese cake. Stuck with the wine instead of drinks because the last time we came they were weak. They didn’t offer the $ 25 Mother’s Day gift card to me although the waiter did ask if I was a mom. Wasn’t impressed with our waiter. Maybe just too busy for Mother’s Day.

Our first visit… why, I don’t know. When I was researching a place to celebrate our anniversary, I thought it looked like a good place to finally try. We were not disappointed. Cornelio provided great service, we witnessed another waitress light the fireplace for a customer(it’s a rainy evening,) and we were treated to champagne and dessert for not killing each other after 20 years! We both loved it and we both can’t wait to go back! Thank you to everyone who made this a memorable night.

The Steak is EXCELLENT. The only reason I don’t give this place a 5 star is the name is «The Keg» and they only have InBev beer on tap ??? They have local beer in bottles, but I didn’t go to «The Bottle» I went to «The Keg». This last time I ordered wine, and it must have been our waitresses first time opening a bottle. I had to stop her twice from pulling the quark too soon and trying to bend the cork to the side to remove it from the bottle. WTF!!! Did I mention that the steak is EXCELLENT? :)

Look, there’s a lot of nice steak houses in town. Most of them are located downtown and offer valet parking, and cook your steak by broiler method. If that’s the kind of evening you’re looking for, downtown is the place to be. But if you want a nice, quiet, romantic place to enjoy a special meal, give The Keg a try. This is my choice for ever anniversary, birthday, New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day, etc. The servers are fantastic. One of the servers that waited on us at our engagement celebration is still there… That was about 3 years ago. My go-to menu items include the blue cheese filet, the baked potato(not the twice baked) and the Billy Miner pie. Can’t go wrong!

I’ve been here several times and I don’t remember the dining area being that dark. I could just be getting old. My wife ordered a tea and the glass was cracked up the side making a little of a mess on the table. The prime rib was a bit chewy and very hard to cut with the steak knife. Unfortunately, our server never returned to refill our water or tea. My wife’s birthday is this month so we received $ 25 off in an e-mail and was able to apply it to the meal. I’ve had many great meals here so I’ll give them a mulligan on this one.

Business trip so checked out the bar. Jon was great, very attentive and answered all questions. I ordered the filet Oscar and a Caesar salad. Salad was great, Very crisp. Steak was cooked PERFECTLY. The sauce was a LITTLE overpowering so I couldn’t enjoy the steak quite as much. But This was a MINOR issue. Great shrimp and scallops also included. FANTASTIC place and I WILL be back.

Great spot for happy hour. A little on the dark and formal side but they had the games on tv and the staff and management were top notch. Good appetizers and drink specials, too. We ate in the bar and I tried the teriyaki sirloin with twice baked potato, veggies, and Caesar salad. All excellent.

Stopped in for dinner with the wife. The atmosphere inside is nice. The bar area is really dark and cozy. The kind that makes you want to sit and drink Maker’s on the rocks and listen to Coltrane all night. Unfortunately, there was no Coltrane playing and it was a weeknight, so to the main restaurant area we went. Service was friendly and fast. On the recommendation of our waitress, my wife and I both ordered the prime rib. The wife enjoyed her wedge salad, but my Caesar was bland and under dressed. I’m sorry to say the prime rib was not good. The temperature was a perfect medium rare, but that’s all it had going for it. Bland, under seasoned, and actually a bit tough despite the medium rare. The sides were potatoes, vegetables, and mushrooms which were all just ok. We ended with cheesecake which was just ok as well. I really wanted to like this place more than I did. I would definitely go back to relax in the bar and I will give the food another shot at some point. Hopefully it was just an off night.

I find it difficult to give chain restaurants high reviews… thats because I am admittably a restaurant snob and have dined at some, one of a kind, truely amazing restaurants world wide. With that said, I will put the Keg in it’s category of similar type restaurants and judge accordingly. Surprisingly phenominal service and food. I was there for a family birthday dinner… lots of people all talking at once, kids that need to be fed and entertained, drinks, we showed up late so a extra table needed to be added… we threw it all at the waiter and he handled it all with grace and patience. I was so surprised that he could satisfy the needs of everyone so quickly that no one was really annoyed… you know how it gets at family dinners… someone is always complaining… but no complaints this night. The food… again surprisingly good. i had prime rib and it was actually cooked rare like I ordered it. I hate an over cooked piece of meat. There was a warm fire burning in the background and a couple having a romantic dinner, well as best they could with a table of 15 mexicans enjoying each others company. It was an amazing time. The only draw back is the restaurant is kinda difficult to get to and hard to see. Just know that in advance and you shouldn’t have a problem. Plenty of free parking(I’m from Dallas). The prices are reasonable for a nice night on the town.
