I’ll start with the positives, the front desk staff was friendly and the housekeeping service seemed to be trying in this outdated hotel. Also the attached British Beer Company restaurant is pretty good. That being said, as I approached my room at the end of a dimly lit hallway I could clearly hear every conversation going on within the rooms. I open my room to a smell that can only be compared to wet gym socks. The air conditioning inside the room sounded like I was on the runway at the airport. About a half an hour into laying in the bed I started to itch like crazy from who knows what, I ended up showering, and sleeping in my rental.

I stayed here for four nights and I found it to be a pleasant experience. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was made up each day and the room was clean and though it was an old building it was in good condition. The motel is connected to a nice restaurant so there is no need to leave the premises for a nice lunch or dinner. There are several other really nice dining options within walking distance as well. Each morning there is a nice breakfast provided with both hot and cold foods, coffee and juices. I enjoyed my stay here and would not hesitate to return.

Clean and nice room. Surprised to see a pool which was clean and nobody was swimming other then me. Direct entrance to a nice pub and acceptable breakfast. On the negative side like other BW hotels I have stayed, a lot of noise come to the room. I woke up with sneezing, flushing, opera singing, trucks pulling back noise. Also WIFI quality is not good at all. Most of the time I cannot browse at all.

The front desk staff and management have treated us poorly, they have been condescending, dishonest, and unaccommodating. We found a rat in the room, they did not apologize for the inconvenience and poor living conditions. Instead they claimed that because we were paying a weekly rate, they were not going to clean the room because for weekly rates they only cleaned the room twice a week. That was their solution to finding vermin in their establishment, refusal to clean the room. I asked where this«policy» of only cleaning the room twice was written. The response was«I don’t know, I think it’s just an understood policy». The woman at the front desk later on questioned why I requested razors every day, she said«What are you using razors for?». I called to express my concerns and issues I was experiencing to the woman at the front desk, she hung up the phone on me. I called back twice and she hung up the phone on me both times, so she hung up on me a total of 3 times. I called Best Western Customer Care and they said that they could not do anything, because it was privately owned. They then stated«Maybe you should’ve stayed elsewhere, you had other options.» So here is a Best Western Customer Care representative telling me that the staff did nothing wrong and if you don’t like our services, get out.” The general manager of the Framingham hotel also wrote my husband, not me, an email telling us to get out if we don’t like how things are run. He never even asked me why I, as a guest, was unhappy with the accommodations. He took his staffs word for it and told me to get lost; after the stay was already paid for. This nightmarish staff and experience has forever tarnished the Best Western name and reputation for me. Also after we called customer service to make a complaint, we noticed the wifi got drastically slower.

I was going to wait until after checkout to write my review, but I just experienced my last straw. This place does have some positives, but they are deeply outweighed by the negatives. Pros: Front staff was extremely friendly. There is free wi-fi in the rooms. Breakfast is free every morning. Cleaning staff did a great job INSIDE the room. Okay price(you get what you pay for) If you go in the summer(like we did) air conditioner is fantastic Cons: — Have a hard time getting on wi-fi at night. It normally takes about five minutes or so of constantly re-trying hoping for it to work. — Carpets in hallway very dirty — We couldn’t make local phone calls until a few days into our trip. Apparently some of the rooms lock their phones to prevent people from making long distance calls. In order to make outgoing calls we had to use our own cell phones and incur our own fees — Something went wrong with our check out date. We are supposed to check out on Friday and they tried to check us out on the Wednesday.(Make sure you bring a paper copy of your reservations in case this happens to you). — A lot of the channels have really bad reception — Even though the front staff is super friendly, the breakfast staff is quite scary. — One of the elevators doesn’t work properly — Even though the breakfast is free, it is not a very good selection, and it’s the same selection every day(like I said earlier, you get what you pay for) — Finally,(this has to do with my last straw) there are ants crawling around everywhere. My last straw was finding an ant on my pillow as I was about to lie down. Absolutely disgusting!

This place was not great and the price was high compared to other Best Western locations. Upon arrival I asked where the exercise room was. She replied that they do not have one. Strike one. When in my room I could hear, through the wall, the guy in the next room snoring. It was so loud that it woke me at 1:30am. Strike Two. There was no third strike option. It was an old location with stale smoke smell and badly in need of renovation.

On my way to that Wonderful State of Blueberries known as Maine, my best friend Wendy and I began our journey in Framingham, Massachusetts. Staying only one night, we reserved a room at this charming Best Western. The layout of the hotel is somewhat eclectic. Like a sprawling mansion in a Gothic novel, various wings extend out of the main body of the structure, with at least two towers of rooms rising up into the clouds. We opted for a nonsmoking room. However, some of the corridors do tend to have a smoky lingerence, reminding one of Las Vegas. The room itself was large and spacious, with carved fabricated furniture and tasteful artwork. I also found my bed to be firm and comfy. The staff here is friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the continental breakfast that comes with the reservation. They have very good breakfast sandwiches and pastries. I am not presently sure when I will be back in Framingham, but this establishment is very relaxing, and I would not mind staying here again.
