I have to say that the The Green Turtle in Franklin Square, New York provides phenomenal professional and terrific service!!! Though it was stormy outside on 7−1−16. The employees and manager made our time there sweet! I am so happy that the hostess Brianna, Janet, Dina Marie gave terrific hospitality. The manager Carlos was such a joy and extremely helpful and directly managed our table with care. The server Janine though she just moved to the area she represented the Green Turtle so well that we will continue to come back. I usually have a party of 12 to 14 on Sunday’s but this time on a Friday my husband and I and our two children decided to come to the green turtle — our son loves this place. We wanted to see if they still have what it takes on a Friday… is it the same, well not only were they hospitable but they were very kind and really impressed us on a Friday night. thank you Carlos, Dina Marie, Janet, Brianna &Janine for making our time in eating at the green turtle such a delight I hope that others will know to come only to the Franklin Square, NY location great job and Thank you all!!! Oh and our kids and I love the atmosphere, the turtles given is a nice touch when asked and greeted and wonderful smiles.

I love this place! The food is always good and if there is ever anytime that I’m not feeling the food the managers are good and will take care of it. The staff is great! And they really keep you coming back! I don’t know any other place with such nice staff

We went back for the second time last night… Our first experience last week was awesome and so was last night. The place is GREAT!!! The staff is super friendly and the food is delicious! General Manager Dee Guelker visited the table and was super nice as was waiter William and Waitress Cheyenne. They were both amazing and super friendly and on-point. We will be back a 3rd time and we recommend you Unilocalers check the place out also. Great staff and AWESOME food!!!

Came here for dinner, great fried pickles! I got the buffalo chicken burger which was very good too. Also, the spiked raspberry lemonade. No complaints at all. Would definitely return!

Great service! Chicken fingers are delicious and the portions are generous. After filling my to-go container with my left overs from my meal, I accidentally left my container on the table and didn’t realize until I reached home. When I called the restaurant, they remembered exactly what I had ordered once I told them where I was sitting. They said it’s possible it may have been thrown out by now because the booth where we were was now occupied by someone else but if we came back they would have something for us. We went back to the restaurant and as soon as I walked in, the greeter was already aware of the situation and went to the back to check. She returned carrying a whole new batch of chicken fingers, fried pickles and sweet potato fries in a to go box, which was everything I had place in my original to go box. They rock!

Went here for Trivia Night for a friend’s birthday on Friday night, which starts around 10pm. I like the way they do the scoring(different from other Trivia Night’s I’ve seen) — where you wager either 1,3, or 5 points depending on how confident you are in our answer. I suggest coming early if you have a big group –our group had to split into 2 different tables on opposite sides of the bar because it gets crowded. Their drinks were around $ 8 if you were getting a fancy cocktail. I got a mudslide(my fave) and my friend got a red mojito which I’ve never seen before. Wasn’t really a fan of the buffalo chicken nachos we got, nothing special. There’s also a ton of TV’s so seems more like a sports bar that people frequent during games. I’d probably be back just for trivia if my friends have another event here, but I won’t be rushing back here.

The night of the big concert I spent the day with my brother. We needed food so after much debate I told him about the Green Turtle. He was sold and we drove there. Outside was well maintained, clean and organized. Once going in the hostess seated us, then as quick as we sat our wonderful waitress Christina, came to the table. She was fun and nice. The perk was We got a free appetizer for checking in with Unilocal, that’s awesome! After the General Manager Dee came over and introduced herself and she was amazing too. I mean they must just hire friendly people because I didn’t see one employee that didn’t look happy to be there. Even Dee was helping with cleaning, That’s great for employee moral. The crab dip came out and it was delicious. Soft pretzels with a crap cheese sauce was to die for, I never had better. I never talk about drinks but the raspberry lemonade came with raspberries in it and that was a nice touch. My burger was excellent the right blend of everything as far as onion straws and cheese are concerned. My brother got the chicken sandwich which he described as a slice of heaven. The chicken meat was tender and had the right amount of spice and blue cheese chunks too. After Dee came over again and explained the membership plan to us. No surprise we joined. Dee was great and knew the brand and sold it well. I will come here to watch Giants games in the future. This place deserves my top praises!

I’ve had better. I don’t know if it was the rude waiter or the bad salad. I’ve been here a few times and it truly is a hit or miss every single time. I think they need to focus on their workers and making sure they are always happy or something. They have a bunch of tv’s which is great to watch games on. The apps aren’t to bad and the dinners are ok. Nothing special but they get two stars because of their service. I’d bump it to a 3 at most. Pricing is fine typical place like TGIF or apple bees but at least there I get better service. They have a bar as well where you can stand over there or sit by the bar. Again a lot of selections to pick from but like I said rude workers. Really starting to think coming here is a mistake. Probably won’t come back anymore.

I never thought a place could have TOOMANYTV’s lol Crab Dip — very oily and salty. The melted cheese over the crab was a very weird favor combo. The salty bread with the salty crab and the oil made it very filling, hard to eat, and not very enjoyable. All but the first bite was good. I kinda wanted to throw up toward the end. Others have raved about this dish, so maybe crab dip isn’t for me. Crab Pizza — Great flavor at the outset, very enjoyable. Not as cumbersome as the crab dip. Fish and Chips — Pretty solid. Little bland, but the tangy orange sauce gives the fish some real flavor. Fish was fried well, light and crispy breading. Black & Blue Burger — WOW. This was actually really good, one of the best blue cheese burgers I’ve ever had, very impressed. There’s not much variation on the food menu. Something seems very boring about it. Maybe that’s why this place was dead the two times I’ve been here? Except from the TV’s which are great for sports days(like the recent Sharks game or nba playoffs), this place feels very odd. Free appetizer when you order an entrée(Check-in thru Unilocal) Their beer selection is very impressive. Hop heads will love the IPA selection, but they have other great crafts, libations and even wine for everyone. Stay away from the Shell Raiser Pale Ale though, that was terrible(I would advise the Greene Turtle Staff to try Fuller’s London Pride and the Shell Raiser side by side). 4 stars for great place to watch the game and catch a brew, 3.5 stars for food. The management and waitresses are very friendly though!

The peanut butter and jelly burger and the Thai chili wings pretty good. My son loves the PB&J burger. This a quick local spot but not my favorite. Mainly because the alcohol drinks are basically juice. Their drink menu is pretty intensive. They have a large selection of cocktails but they are watered down and too sugary. It’s not the place to have good drinks. DEFINITELYNOT! The food is ok but nothing amazing. I have been to green turtle over 30 times because it’s local and the kids like the tv in the booths. Every single time I’m reminded why I don’t like it.

The best thing about the place is its atmosphere. It is very welcoming and friendly and great for the family. With TV’s at some of the tables and music playing and pictures all about. The staff are all super nice and you can go here to watch a sports event or just to have a nice time out with the family or friends. There are a few faults though with the place that prevents me from making this a must see, top choice venue. The prices are a bit high, especially for a place like this. Sure they offer you a way to earn points and get some money off on the bill with every so many visits, but if you are just going in there and having a simple meal and a drink expect to pay a lot more than similar places. The TV’s which are a pro are actually a con and for a big reason. The channel selections are VERY limited. And they aren’t the typical network stations or standard cable stations you would expect. They are very weird and off shoot channels that most wouldn’t want to watch. And there are only 5 channels to choose from. Its just very weird to offer people a TV to watch and choose a channel on when you only give very limited choices on what to watch and most of these shows are not things people will want to watch. So why bother? What can’t figure out how to get CBS or Cartoon Network on the TV or something? The dinner menu itself is another problem I had. Its very limiting believe it or not. We were actually struggling to figure out what to order as there just wasn’t enough options and we don’t want to keep getting the same things each time we are there. Definitely needs a broader menu and variety here. But results will vary. Some won’t care about the TV’s, some will be happy with the food choices and some will not find the prices too steep. I really wanted to love this place, I have gone there a few times and my reaction is always the same. Nice staff, interesting set up. but lacking in too many places to make it worthwhile. Sure I’ll still head here every now and then. But only if there isn’t any better option around or if the mood strikes. This place has a lot of potential and its sad that it is so close yet so far to truly meeting that potential.

Love this place. I have introduced several friends to the Greene Turtle. Tonight was the 4th family I have introduced to the Greene Turtle. You have to try the garlic fries. Great place for casual dinner, hanging out with friends or watching games. The manager, Laura was awesome. She even helped regulate the temperature because it was too cold. Very accommodating. Thumbs up. One of my new favorite places.

First things first Sam is the man ! Just got outta work and me and a few of my coworkers had never been once we told him that he gave us the breakdown of a lifetime on the menu recommended great drinks and food. I goto a lot of places and let me tell you this guys service was on point and super knowledgeable. The drinks were good but the bat bang for your buck is definitely the turtle bowl for 3 ppl. The food was really good pretty in our opinion«this place is like an upscale low key Applebees no half off apps or anything but definitely great service and a good time at a nice and clean place. Btw mention Unilocal and get a free appetizer

First time as a customer here went pretty well. Met with a couple of friends for dinner on a Tuesday night. The place was not crowded at all and we sat ourselves in the bar dining area. Our waitress was friendly and the manager checked in on us multiple times to make sure everything was enjoyable — good customer service. You may think you’d be able to predict what’s on the menu based on the general vibe of the restaurant but The Greene Turtle pushes the envelope a little bit(i.e. PB&J bacon burger). The menu is very interesting and puts a little spin on your typical«bar and grille» food. I ordered the Fish Tacos: the fish was cooked well and was really tasty, the slaw was just ok. Good variety of beers on tap: huge glasses. Good sized bar with plenty of TVs. Will have to return again to watch sports.

I’m not sure if I won some type of award and wasn’t informed but the staff here was awesome! I enjoyed the royal treatment so much that it will sure suck going to other restaurants who treat you like anything but… well royalty. They weren’t crowded and I’m guessing this made my visit here even more special. Both manager and her manager(I forgot her title when she introduced herself) at different intervals came to my table to make sure everything was okay. The big boss even gave me a bit of history about The Greene Turtle. Not so much as to overwhelm, just a nice little story. Everyone seemed to be genuinely happy that I was there. So nice! I cannot remember all the names except for my waitress Dana. Dana Dana Dana. Smh. You’re absolutely awesome. Please The Greene Turtle, Ms. Dana deserves a raise. She is everything and more than I can ask for in a waitress. Dana guided me in my food selection with gentle suggestions and I settled on their famous crab dip and hog hammers with an order of crab cake sliders.(Typing this at home now and I’m hungry again). Hog hammers were tasty with just the right fall off the bone consistency. The crab cake sliders delicious. I wasn’t thrilled about the crab dip and its salt content. I think the overpowering salt taste came from the pretzels that accompanied the dip more than anything but it threw me off. Yes, they indeed seem to have 60 telly sets! One at each booth where you can channel surf. I stayed with Dora The Explorer today because I felt like a baddy as I explored this mean(great) drink The shell shocker. The Shell Shocker is(their version of the LIIT), it’s out of this world nice! It’s very sweet and you’re easily tricked into thinking it’s lemonade. Note Well!!! It. Is. A. Creeper. You’ve been warned. Yes I will be back. Yes I recommend. You’ll have a fun time and won’t even have to spend much $$$ for good food. They also honour their offers and my most expensive appetizers was actually free. The End.

I have now eaten here three times, and I truly think this place is amazing. It’s now a restaurant that I want to go to all the time. When you first go in the staff is pretty welcoming. It’s got a cool atmosphere and so many TVs you’ll go dizzy trying to look at them all. I love the turtle on the floor it’s super cute. We have had a super servers take care of us. Their rewards are super easy to figure out. They have a fantastic menu with lots of great sounding things. My mom and I absolutely love the Thai chili boneless wings. They are amazing. And they’re great with either blue cheese or ranch dressing. We also love love love the fish tacos! There’s three tacos with lots of avocado and tomatoes and lettuce and other goodies and then nice big like seriously big pieces of panseared fish. Oh my god absolutely amazing. And and it’s a huge portion. Like I cannot emphasize enough the fish is big pieces of fish so these are three big delicious tacos. If you login check in with Unilocal then you’ll get a free appetizer. My family and I tried the crab dip it’s really good. The pretzels are a little too salty but it’s easy to wipe the salt off. We also had the chili nachos and it was a huge portion. We actually got that under the recommendation of our server and he was totally right because it was perfect for seven people.

Greene Turtle, me likey. Came here for dinner with my family one night because my Sister-in-law had a coupon(she’s a part of their rewards program). We were seated right away and our waiter came over promptly. For appetizers we had the Crab Dip and Fried Pickles. We enjoyed them both. Some of our entrees included the Shrimp Tacos with garlic fries(be forewarned they’re pretty oily), Veggie burger, and Fish and Chips. Everyone enjoyed their meals with no complaints. For simple American bar food with service and ambiance reminiscent of(but a step up from) Applebee’s, Greene Turtle it is.
