«Liquor store» would be a slur to this place. It’s been a long time since I’ve been so impressed by a local business of any sort. Their amazing selection and service is only matched by the passion of the owner. I ran in here on a whim to pick up a dozen or so bottles of spirits to give out as Christmas presents to co-workers and was amazed at the selection of interesting things. By interesting, I mean things that one doesn’t see at every spirit store under the sun. I was warmly greeted by the owner and even treated to a tasting of a rare whiskey. Mr Brinkmann’s vast knowledge of his products was evident as our conversation went from Japanese single malts to American bourbons. It is easy to see that the man loves what he does. While my order was being prepared and boxed, I marveled at the selection of high gravity beers, some of which I thought were pretty much impossible to find in Tennessee. This is exactly the sort of local business that we all need to go out of our way to support. There are plenty of places at which one can buy wine and spirits, but good luck finding service like this anywhere else. This place managed to earn all of my future business on the experience of just one visit. If you live or work in the Cool Springs area, you are doing yourself a great disservice if you don’t check this place out.

To bad it won’t allow ‘no stars’ because that’s my opinion. Barely a word spoke from the staff until I left and then it was only to make me move my car because«we have a lot of drive-up business and not a lot of spots». Well boo hoo, somebody has to walk 15 more feet. I was only going next door to Franklin Cigar(awsome shop) to grab a smoke for home and would not have been more than 10 minutes. No problem, there are LOTS of choices for wine/liquor/high-grav in this town and I will be exercising those choices. Perhaps the fellow working tonight will rethink his comments next time before he runs off more customers. Go elsewhere, please.

This is a great place if you are looking for knowledgable assistance in making product selections. The owner and sales staff are eager to assist in helping you select a wine or spirit. Price are higher than at the super-sized liquor stores but the shopping experience justifies it.

I have been to several liquor stores and this one tops them all, very much due to the staff. They are friendly and more than willing to make a recommendation. The prices are well in-line with everyone else’s. In these days of get the customer out as soon as possible, it is great to find a business which doesn’t subscribe to that model. Oh yeah, I’ll be back soon!

Stopped in here a few weeks ago to get a gift — had a great recommendation from the owner. I was going for a particular(popular), higher-end Pinot Grigio — hey, my friend LOVES that stuff — and he steered me to something else that actually happened to be cheaper. I appreciated how attentive and helpful he was without being pushy. Will definitely return!

I LOVE Brinkmann’s, will never go anywhere else, and Tim is absolutely wonderful. I’m partial to Napa cabs and they have a wonderful selection of all my favorites. I can go in, tell Tim what I’m having for dinner, and he never disappoints with his recommendations.

The first one year of my life I was a teetotaler. Fast forward 28 years and I found myself beating my head against the steering wheel while waiting for the slow moving train to let me get to Frugal Macdoogal’s just so that I can pick up a 4pk of Duvel and relish its sweet sweet taste. But then the train stopped with a groan, sighed and decided to flip me the bird. With great fury, I whipped out my phone, decided to call Brinkmann’s and demanded if they carried Duvel. «Of course!» she said and I hit myself against the steering wheel again. Brinkmann’s was exactly a 3 minute drive from home. And therefore, henceforth, thusly, finally, I was able to wrap my paws around this Belgian gold and be suckled at its four teats over the weekend. The liquor selection is seriously humongous — from Bolivian coca based ones to little known whiskey barrel aged Indian Rum(Old Monk), to Duvel(of course), to a crazy assortment of tequilas, whiskeys, imported liqueurs, to a mind boggling selection of wines, local and international. Heck, they sell moonshine too! Just ask, trust me. It’s under the counter. Brinkmann’s is your one stop shop for all things –OH and also one the TWO places that carries Duvel in Nashville(FMcD is not the only one as the interents would like you to believe)

I love shopping at Brinkmann’s. Tim, the owner, always has great suggestions at any price range. His selection of wines and high gravity beers is probably the best in town. If you have a special request Tim will try his best to obtain that product for you. So far his success rate is 100% as it pertains to the requests I have made. At other wine stores you have folks that like to intimidate their customers with their«knowledge» which never happens at Brinkmann’s. I personally go out of my way to make my wine purchases at this store because it is in such contrast to the other stores in the Cool Springs area.

Brinkmann’s is a pleasure to shop. The staff are really helpful, but I could see people thinking they might be too pushy, but I think they are truly trying to be helpful. The store is mostly wine and it reminds me of the new gourmet wine stores that are opening up in East Nashville and Green Hills. It’s beautifully decorated and very modern inside and it’s spacious. That’s one of my favorite things to look for in wine stores. I hate when they are crowded and you have to dodge your way around the boxes to find what you need. I don’t think I saw a stacked up box anywhere. The store is mostly wine. I went with someone looking for whiskey and they didn’t have much of a selection. The liquor is confined to one wall, whereas the wine takes up most of the store. I went looking for my latest love, vinho verde, and they had a great selection including some I hadn’t seen anywhere before. I managed to find a good one for $ 7.99. There used to be a little wine store right across the street from where this one opened, but I think this one will do better because it’s focused on wine and much bigger.

Service is unbelievable! Tim, the owner, is very approachable and excited about his products. He and his staff are quite knowledgeable and make some killer recommendations. There were a few things that I wanted that I couldn’t find. I told Tim about it and within a few weeks the store was fully stocked with what I had wanted. They really go out of their way to provide terrific service. The other thing that I love about this store is the aesthetic. Everything is clean, bright, and well laid out. You don’t get that shady feeling that so many liquor/wine stores have. P. S. They have a section with some really nice beers. P. P. S. I LOVE tequila and they have one of the nicer selections in the area.
