What’s there not to like? Great price on beer, absolutely great burger and great price on Tuesday, and friendly staff. Yes it took a few minutes to get served but it was only because they were busy. If I lived close by I’d be there more than once a week!

I had the pleasure of being taken on a mini bar tour of these good old parts. Ended up here. Two chicks running the bar… DJ playing the Thong Song… idk what year I was taken back to(1999?) but at least the Oriole game was on? Maybe I picked a bad night to come because they do have nice specials every day written on their large chalkboard. It hovers over the bar and you can’t see it unless you are sitting at a table — but who reads signs anyway? I will say that the one girl we went to made decent drinks at fantastic prices. The dress code for guys should’ve read tshirt and cargo pants only since that’s what every guy had on. Major party foul was announcing last call at 1am and bright lights by 2. This city lady isn’t used to that. Ps the bathroom was clean. Minus one star for just having 2TOTAL.

If your ideal environment is filled with extremely loud drunk fifth grade educated rednecks, then you have found your place! In spite of the regulars, there is cheap drinks and the food is really good and reasonably priced. Some of the best burgers in Frederick and .25 cent wings for happy hour made the low life’s tolerable! Just kidding… for the most part the patrons ate behaved. The waitresses and bartenders are super nice and pay attention to their customers and ate quick to refill your drink or take your food order. One of my favorite watering holes!

Excellent service, friendly and fun atmosphere, good food. At least the fish and chips were good. :)

I have never eaten here before, but this is one of my favorite LATENIGHT bars to go enjoy a beer at. The pricing isn’t too bad for downtown Frederick. The bartenders are very laid back and attentive. They usually have good DJ’s, playing dance music, which makes being there even more enjoyable. Sometimes they have local bands play there. I enjoyed the Rock-a-Billy night.

We love the burgers and the(what you all are calling) dive atmosphere. We ate here a lot after late work nights in the 90’s. We’ve since moved away, and cannot find a place to match Olde Towne! Prices are great, service is fine. We can’t wait to return — so glad it still is what it was 20 years ago!

This place suits me just fine! Good live music with a rockabilly and Americana feel on the nights I go. It’s an American dive bar and I wouldn’t want it any other way! — — — - Go to Applebees or TGIFridays if you want fast service and clean cut, interchangeable bartenders. Go here if you prefer real people with their own personalities.

Place sucks! Homeless bouncer wouldn’t let my buddy in with a faded id. He’s 40.

I’am the guy who will punch you in the face at any moment. After I do that, then make out with your g/f. I might just buy you a beer.

This place is pretty divey. And not so much in the«oh, this place is fun and unique» way. It’s pretty rough around the edges, and the usual scene here involves scanitlly-clad women and Ed Hardy-clad men. The bar did have some good deals but not enough to warrant going there again. I think the guy that threw up in the middle of the room(and about three feet from me) and seriously turned me off from this place. There’s plenty of others places in Frederick to get a drink; avoid this one.

I seriously do not get all the hate on this page for some poor little cheapy main street bar. I’m sorry you got beat up, Lee M., but let’s not get petty. Calm down people, and have a beer! The PBR’s were only like $ 1.50! My boyfriend and I effortlessly nabbed a table in the front window(perfect for people-watching [this is code for stranger-mocking]) all night on a Saturday and had a very pleasant time. The bartenders were attentive but not overbearing, the band kinda sounded like a Nickelback knock-off, but they weren’t too loud in the front, the crowd wasn’t chic, but hey that’s just more fun(see above hobby). We spent a good couple or hours there and our tab wasn’t even over $ 20, I can’t tell you how refreshing that is having lived in DC for the last couple years. We left wishing we could find a place just like it near our house.

Small town bar full of rednecks and washed-up jocks looking to take out their aggressions on an innocent bystander. Bouncers? Yeah, not so much. Pretty useless, considering they are FRIENDS with the knuckleheads that pick fights every Saturday night. The bartenders are average. Pitiful excuse for a stage for the bands to play on.

Based on one visit: Typical bar food in a typical dive bar with pretty slow service, especially considering the place was almost empty. Minimal beer selection. Holds some promise for the fact that they have live music, but I haven’t experienced that so rating is for food, beer and service only.

I’ve never eaten there, but have imbibed on more than a few occassions. Sometimes they have good bands, sometimes the music sucks. Not too bad a place, but not somewhere I frequent much these days.

A buddy of mine summed this place up pretty well when he said, «Basically your in a bar that at any moment someone is going to punch you in the face.» Roughneck crowds aside if you catch the OTT on the right night it can be pretty fun. Also, Virginia Coalition used to play here all the time. Talk about an intimate venue. Plus, I hear they have great hamburgers.

It’s a «Where Everyone Knows Your Name» type place, with good bands brought in. I like the 3 «tiered» set up — bar up front for talking, middle roomw here you can hear the music but still mingle and eat, and the«dance floor» where it’s fun and crazy if that’s your thing!
