Can you say AWESOME!!! Ambience, décor, service, food, drinks & Music! This place has it all that except for the name of the place being visible from Bentz St. Drove by this place at least four times, finally we checked it out, wow! Food was delicious and portions are King size. Drink menu was expansive and affordable. Band tonight was Tronglone Band from Richmond, VA — blues meets country and rock n roll. Kudos to the owner, and Marley our server was great. this place is AWESOME. We’ll b back and we live 40 minutes away.

I like this place. Everything is reasonably priced, the beer selection is good, the liquor selection is pretty darn good(especially if you like whiskey). The bartenders are friendly… one even remembered which beer I ordered the time before I was here. Add in live music… what’s not to love?

Food is very good. Would not recommend for events. Recent baby shower I went to was booked in January but no management followed up on any questions or plans. The day of the event, which was yesterday, other events were booked as well. Three different events that could not possibly work together. As a guest at the shower, I did not receive a glass of water for an hour. I wouldn’t even of cared to pour my own but there were no glasses available. One waitress for 30 ppl and none of the many issues were her fault. Staff was very apologetic. On the other hand management was not.

Great venue for music, lots of craft beer, and a deck for the hot summer nights :) The fried chicken is SUPER seasoned and almost doesn’t need the poppy seed honey mustard! The falafel was alright, not sure how to eat it though!

Slow slow slow slow slow slow slow service, slow getting menus(waited at least 10 Mins), slow getting meals, slow getting check. I ordered the«All American» steak a medium, came out well done. Burnt, flavorless crap. I won’t be back. I was very excited to try this place but a $ 25 steak should at least be edible. Very disappointed.

Had a group here the night before the Frederick Half Marathon. I was glad that they had reservations open and were able to accommodate the group. Overall the service was good, the drinks were good and the food was enjoyed by all, but the kitchen took forever. They apologized multiple times and did comp things but with people running the half marathon the next day we weren’t looking for dinner to take hours. I’d recommend coming in when it’s less busy and with a smaller crowd. They had run out of enough menus for everyone to have one.

We visited this place based on reviews from Unilocal, and we weren’t disappointed. The place is huge and has a nice relaxed atmosphere. The food was excellent and was accompanied by friendly service. Plenty of choices of beer are available as well, and prices are reasonable. We’ll definitely visit again.

Definitely a hidden gem. Full bar with a great happy hour. The food is amazing. The service was ok; they are not very attentative. We had to initiate a lot of the interactions with the wait staff; however, everyone was very friendly and pleasent. Also did i mention… great food and full bar!!!

Great food, but service is ok. Have been multiple times, but service is always lacking. The all day breakfast on Sundays is great.

A few friends and I went to the Blue Side after a 10 Mile run. We were thirsty! The décor was cozy and hip. The bartender Dan was great he helped us decide what beer we wanted when we told him what we liked. There was a band playing. They were perfect for the feel of the bar. Our food came out in good time. I got the sausage Mac n cheese with a side salad and a biscuit. I recommend it and share with a friend. All in all a great experience and I will definitely be back!

Such an improvement from the previous bar here! All the bartenders are great and the food is amazing. I highly recommend getting the mac n’ cheese! Can’t wait to stop by for live music sometime.

We dropped in on a Friday night and it was busy but not crowded. Atmosphere is very laid back and staff is friendly. The mixed drinks are tasty and strong the food is delicious. We tried the BBQ empanadas which were very good. They drizzle them with a chili aioli and apple butter which is a unique and delicious combo. I had the country flatbread which was just ok but my husband had the chicken fried chicken and I stole a lot off his plate. The breading on the chicken had a lot of rosemary to the point where it was teetering on overwhelming, but was cooked perfectly. The gravy, yams, and greens were out of this world. So yummy. I didn’t get to try the biscuit– my husband ate that before I got a chance! We will definitely be back! I’m interested to see what it’s like with a band and more people playing darts etc.

Great lunch and bar! Went with my husband and 2 kids(8 and 10) for lunch on a Saturday. Pretty quiet in there. Reminded us of KY or TN. Loved the industrial décor. My drink was so good. Deer Tick. I asked for something not sweet. I got 2. I ordered the veggie flatbread, which I would not get again, but my husband’s pulled pork with Mac and cheese was SO good. I got to finish my son’s kids pulled pork, thankfully. ;-). Service was fine(like I said, it was slow when we went). Would probably be awesome when they have live music.

Went to The Blue Side Tavern during the fire and ice event. Place was packed and the service kept up with the crowd. Prices are good, food is great! Y’all are doing it right! P. S. loved the juke box for country music!

I came here with no expectations because I am from the DC area and was not sure what to expect in Frederick.(sawdust on the floor? moonshine?) I liked the industrial feel, the amount of space they have is great if they can fill the bar, and the location while hidden a little bit, is so close to downtown this is clearly a gem. We came on a Tuesday at noon and there weren’t any other patrons there for lunch but the bar tender helped us and gave good recommendations. The nachos were fantastic, the fries tasty, and by God the Country Delight flatbread was amazing!!! A must get for sure!!! My buddies liked the catfish sandwich but wanted a bigger piece of fish. They have a really good beer selection and solid happy hour specials. Make sure to park in the back or you could get a ticket on S Bentz St. There are darts and a screen for football games. I would highly suggest coming here for the food alone, we really enjoyed it.

Quiet place on a Sunday noon. Football on the TVs. Waitstaff very friendly and considerate. Half price bloody mary and wings when game was on. I had breakfast for lunch, and it was perfectly done and presented. Wife had the wings, which without the half price would have seemed kind of expensive for what you got. Bloody Mary was great. Place is huge with two bars, pool tables, music stage. Must be a great place to hang out on a busy evening.

Continuing my quest for locally owned and operated businesses for meals! This place is surely a sleeper! Did a quick Unilocal search, they had good reviews so we decided to try it out. With two kids in tow(6yo/2yo) we walked in and though«Eh, maybe we made a poor decision» as the bar is prominent when walking in. Don’t let that fool you though! We quickly got a table and had a friendly server. He made a few recommendations and we ended up ordering several items to try different things. We were quite surprised. The food was great! We ordered nachos, which had a sweet BBQ flavor. Kids chicken tenders also were a hit! The only thing keeping this from being a 5* was the prices. A bit on the higher side. A half order of wings(that’s the only option– six) is $ 8.50.

Great new place in Frederick! I easily found metered street parking out front, although I think they have some limited parking behind the restaurant. Space is large and industrial, looks like it would make a great club, concert, or event venue. The appetizer and sandwich selections all looked delicious. Burgers, chicken sandwiches, bratwurst sandwich, pulled pork… Every single sandwich appealed, and the decision was so difficult that my friend and I decided to split two sandwiches. We went for the Mojo burger and the pulled pork sandwich. We also got the Poutine fries as an appetizer. Fries were delicious, with a dark gravy and bacon pieces, although not as much cheese curd as I would have liked. The portion was huge– we took about half home(of course it didn’t reheat as well because fries, but I will never give up trying). Mojo burger was fantastic. It had a side of pepper jelly that I doused it in, and the whole thing was a glorious, dripping mess. The pulled pork was good too, different from classic BBQ. It wasn’t served with a sauce, and the sauce must have been already mixed in to the pork. It was fairly sweet, which is something to keep in mind for the sweet vs. spicy folks. It was topped with crispy onion straws, I think. Served with a side of good coleslaw. Both sandwiches come with fries but I substituted a Caesar salad because I thought an appetizer of fries followed by a side of fries miiiight be pushing it. The salad was enjoyable, and the dressing, served on the side, was surprisingly good. Great, quick, friendly service. Only the lunch menu was available when I was there, but the dinner menu looked intriguing and based on my lunch experience I will definitely be back for dinner. The other appetizers looked great too– can’t wait to try the biscuits and red eye gravy.

Very good. Good food and service. Crab cake was very good. Pork empanadas were excellent. Shrimp and grits was a little bland. The crab flat bread was good but even better if you had the salad with the balsamic on it on top of the crab. Solid place with a fun atmosphere.

Quiet place on a Saturday at 1pm but this place has potential to be an awesome night hotspot. Unfortunately we were just passing through on a day trip, but enjoyed some really good food. The staff were hospitable and humorous and super friendly enough to keep us coming back if we were local. I’ve only heard country music since we walked in but that is more than good enough for me. From the flyers, last night(30 October) must have been one heck of a party. This place closed at 2 and the staff left at 4… hmmm what does that say? Apparently there were a couple live banks last night to party the night away with. They sport a decent tap and a full bar; so there are plenty of options to get a relaxing mixer.
