I like the chewiness of their noodles which I guess is a personal preference(I’ve heard people complain that the noodle is ‘too hard’…). Spicy beef stew noodle is my favorite. Seems they are closed for renovation since early September. Hope they reopen soon.

Fantastically chewy hand-pulled noodles. Fun to slurp. I went here on advice from a coworker, and it did not disappoint. The long noodles can be a little messy to eat, but it’s fun. Everything was flavorful. I had the house special spicy pork noodles, and my fiancé had the beef soup. Both were fantastic, and generous portions. Service was quick and efficient, and we got our food right away. I will be back.

Hands down, QQ Noodle is my absolute favorite noodle place in the bay area. All the noodles are hand-pulled and freshly made and the soup is amazing. If you like spicy, you need to try the house special sour and spicy pork noodles — it really doesn’t get any better than that. TIP: There is no way to eat these noodles gracefully. Even if you cut the noodles up, slurping is inevitable so don’t wear white and prepare to get your shirt splattered.

If you’re a fan of chewy noodles, then give this place a try. The texture is just right and doesn’t break away like a chow mein noodle. Whenever I go, I get the #1 and it never disappoints. I have a big appetite and their portions are just right for me. In fact, a lot of people get one order to share among two people! Albiet the décor could use some polish, don’t let this stop you from trying this place. Affordable prices with quality to match.

I was completely excited when the boy agrees to come here with me. I havent had spicy beef noodles ever since I was a student at UC Davis, where the noodles at Hometown Chinese restaurant was BOMB(this is not an advertisement for them), so one can only imagine that i was drooling by looking at the photos. However, I was highly disappointed. The spicy beef noodles didn’t have any flavors to it at ALL. It was so bland that I had to pour a good amount of soy sauce in it… yet it didn’t make it any better. since i knew i was drinking sodium. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, nor will I be coming back.

I’ve been here quite a few times now and tried a number of noodles. I can say the ones with the spicy broths are definitely superior in flavors to the non-spicy ones. So get something spicy unless you are deathly allergic to spice. Come here early for lunch on the weekends because the lines can get long. Really inefficient seating plan — why sit two people at a table for four when you can stack two groups of two? Guess they either value your privacy or just want to make you wait in line to create the illusion of demand.

Anyone who thinks QQ noodles is too dirty, too gross, or has bad service should never ever ever ever ever even think about going to China, they would just DIE. Disposable napkins and chopsticks are pretty high by those standards, and I was pretty shocked by how good the service was for a place where I was expecting to be ignored — instead, the food came out fast, my glass was never empty, they brought extra napkins whenever it looked like we were getting messy, they checked in often to see if we needed anything and it always arrived promptly, and they didn’t rush us. The service was not just good by Chinese restaurant standards, it was good by ANY restaurant standard. Also, if you are on a Paleo, Adkins, Gluten-free, Low Fat, or any kind of diet for that matter, just leave now. Be prepared to down 800+ calories(minimum) of pure carb and oil in one sitting. Also don’t expect to go anywhere afterwards, you WILL want to lay down, even if you share one of their huge portions. While the flavors of the #23 Leek Egg Noodle, #24 Garlic and Pork Noodle and #8 House Special Sour and Spicy Pork Noodle Soup were overall good but not great and the latter was not really spicy at all, they were still pretty authentic and tasty. I think dry noodles lend more to absorbing flavor than in a soup. Most importantly, the noodles are legit — there is no substitute for fresh hand-pulled noodles. At $ 10/person incl T&T, what more can you expect?

I came here for lunch with a friend and was told that the noodles are different here. Its the slurping thick noodles that you cant get anywhere else. So I was definitely excited to try it. I got the braised beef noodle soup and it is definitely not a lunchtime meal since it is pretty spicy and heavy. You do not want to go back to the office after this and sit there like a plump piggy. The portion is big and the beef was tender. I just thought it was a bit too oily and the noodles tasted starchy. It was good but not the best noodle experience I have had. **TIPS** 1) Dont get the noodle soup for lunch. It wont sit very well in your tummy. 2) Large portions and you can split the noodle soup in two. 3) Enjoy!

We were greeted and seated, served tea and menus. The menus are reminiscent of a toddlers picture book. Each page has a picture of one on it. The tables are sticky not because they’re dirty but because they need to be refinished and sealed. The menus are sticky because they’re not laminated and can’t be easily cleaned. She ordered Beef Stew Noodle Soup and I ordered Fried Noodles with Pork. We both agreed that the noodles in the soup were less starchy. My fried noodles were a tad salty and doughy. While the service was okay and the food came quickly, we won’t be returning.

The prototypical noodle shop except this joint isn’t located in a Ranch 99 shopping center. But once you step inside this place, it certainly looks like it fits in there. The inside is basic minimum. I sat down at the tables and reviewed the menu and after I ordered, I took out a bottle of Purell and sanitized my hands. The menu feels«dirty» so I wasn’t taking any chances. Of course, the menu is entirely noodles obviously. Hand pulled noodles does make a difference as it’s a bit more doughy and lacks that artificial noodle taste from pre-made stuff. I was hoping that they’d have something like potstickers or similar like Japanese ramen shops. Unfortunately, here they have some more authentic small dishes that don’t include any dumplings of any sort. I got the shredded pork stir fried noodles and it was a big portion which I appreciated but the shredded pork didn’t give me a lot of flavor. It was difficult to taste the pork probably because they shredded the pork was so thin. I don’t know if I ever want to come back here… hand pulled noodles are great but it’s not something that’s super rare to go all the way out here to have some. If I do come back, I’m going to try the noodles in soup with hopes that the broth can enhance the taste of the noodles.

Still love the food(authentic Chinese! chewy noodles! beef noodle soup!!!), but the service from my last visit… Eh. If you’re being helped by the guys in their 20s, they will straight up give preferential treatment to Chinese customers(from what it seems) My friend(Filipino) and I were pretty much ignored even though we were sitting in the middle of the restaurant. Another bigger party that came after us were given a pot of tea but we weren’t. Weishenme??? It’s still winter time, and maybe we’d like some tea too! At least offer us :(They also got his order wrong and he was incredibly unhappy to be waiting for so long. By the time he got his food, I was already finished. Poor guy.

Feeling the urge to get your noodle on? QQ Noodle is the place to be! I have a lot of friends who have mixed reviews about this place. So, when in doubt, find out yourself! my bro in law and I got hungry after watching a couple of SNF(Sunday Night Football) games. It was a chilly night and we were craving some soup. I wanted to try out QQ Noodle since the pictures looked awesome. With our appetites, we ordered the following dishes: — House Special Sour & Spicy w/Pork Noodle Soup — Spicy Beef Noodle Soup — Beef Chow Mien Our order came out fairly quickly and served hot off the stove. The noodles were soft and chewy for all the dishes. We were offered scissors to cut the noodles in our soups since they were long. If you continued to eat your noodles without cutting them, you will find no end to them! The pork and beef in the dishes were tender and easy to chew. The dishes had a lot of flavor. I just had to keep switching entrees with my bro in law to taste all the flavors! I most definitely would want to come back. So many noodle dishes, so little time.

Fresh thick hand pulled noodles that have a great chewy texture. They have a menu that features each noodle dish with close up photos which makes it all the more tempting to come back and order each one of them… I think my favorite is their special sour and spicy pork sauce noodles(I am dying for it just thinking about it now). My colleague keeps ordering up the tomato egg noodle, which looks pretty darn good as well. Highly recommend this place to satisfy your noodle cravings…

QQ is in my hood and I’m ashamed to say that I’ve never tried it until recently. Blasphemy, I know. All *you* need to know about this place is that they make fresh, hand pulled noodles that possess such an amazing and unexpected texture unlike anything you’ve had before. So firm and chewy and… and GOOD! I’ll be honest, at first, I wasn’t sure exactly how I felt about them. In fact, I was kind of bummed that the noodles weren’t absorbent enough to soak up some of the broth… come to find out, this a good thing as it preserves the texture of the noodles. I figured this out the hard way. So here’s the low down: the portions are gargantuan. As such, I couldn’t finish the whole bowl in one sitting and decided to take the rest to go. By the time I got hungry enough to grub again, I was in for an unhappy surprise; it just wasn’t the same. The noodles did eventually soak up some of the broth, but also lost much of their signature«bounce.» I found myself missing the one thing that set QQ apart from most other noodle soup spots! My suggestion to avoid the kind of disappointment I endured? Stuff your face at the restaurant to fully experience and appreciate the noodoh. Who cares if you can’t finish it all. JUSTDOIT. You can regret the bloated feeling later, but at least you can say you enjoyed Taiwanese noodles the way they were meant to be eaten! I got the #10 spicy beef stew noodle soup( ) that everyone and their mama and papa and baby sitter’s twice removed uncle suggested. It definitely had some kick, but nothing too crazy. Personally, I can handle my spice so I’m glad there was a condiment tray at the table to adjust the bowl to my taste bud burning needs. Bonus points! The one mini let down was that the broth was a bit bland for my tastes. Maybe it needed more time brewing with some bones or more salt or… I dunno, more MSG. Jkjk! Forreals though, I did end up adding some salt. Once that was done, the issue was rectified and it was time for good eats! Oh, and let’s not forget the beef… mmmm. Capital T — Tendah! Unlike the broth, it was very well seasoned and absolutely melt in your mouth delicious. Btw, I did not encounter rude service. In fact, the waiter was quite well mannered. Maybe not friendly, per se, but at least he was polite and likable. Now if you can dig the noodles, this place is 4 stars easily, but if you’re more about the broth, it’s a 3. I’m going with the 4 because it’s a new year and why be grumpy? Also, I can dig the noodles. I’m soooooo glad I live nearby. If ever I’m ever sick, I will gladly roll myself out of bed and land inside QQ for a quick and tasty remedy.

Looking through all of the other pictures, I think I might have ordered the wrong thing! Then again, I walked in while I was having my car tinted, and I was the only clueless person in the joint. Fearless, I sat down like a lone-wolf and ordered the House Special Noodle Soup. The picture on the menu looked great, and so did what was brought out to me. The noodles were thicker than I thought, and much more chewy than I’m used to. I could see how people might like that. The shrimp I got were tiny and dried, and gave it that anchovy stink-kick, but I thought I was supposed to get actual baby shrimp. Oh well! I wouldn’t order the dish again, I left half of it anyway. I might go back if someone I knew recommended something, or took me there. Otherwise, one-night stand.

Good: Noodle Not so good: Service/Attitude. 1. I never expected to get nice service in this place especially when I get to-goes. But they don’t even give you utensils and napkins. 2. They(at least the lady) are stingy. I saw there is a full box of quarters in the cashier, but when I asked for quarters as my changes, the lady said no. :(I will just walk away.

The original and significantly smaller location of QQ Noodle. Similar color scheme and décor with huge enlargements of their menu pictures on the wall with the most popular items. The menu has nutrition information so you can see that the Braised Spare-rib soup has ~250 more calories than the Braised Beef soup(1,100 vs 850). Really?!? Ouch! Anyway, I got the #3 Dry Soy Bean Paste Sauce Noodles(Gan Zha Jiang Mien, $ 7.25) which comes in two bowls: one for noodles and cucumber and one for the sauce( ). The sauce is a much lighter milk chocolate brown than what my picture looks like(My phone’s(Droid Razr) AWB(auto-white-balance) has proven bad for fluorescent.(TMI?)) and much saltier/savorier than the standard Shandong /Korean-Chinese version of the dish. The noodles were very good with a nice chew, though they weren’t drained well, which I didn’t notice until after applying the sauce and starting to mix where I could see some water under the noodles. This made the final mixture a little soupy /runny( ) with less sauce clinging to the noodles. The sauce itself had a good amount of ground pork( ), but was a bit too salty, even watered down.

Just average. .. was expecting more from reading reviews & looking at pictures. #3 Dry Soy Bean Paste Sauce Noodles — Nothing special that would have me wanting to come back here to eat this particular dish. Had better at other places.( ) BF ordered the chow mien — I tried his dish and we both thought it was just ok. I did like that the noodles were fresh and the waiter was nice. I do question if they use MSG because I had MSG symptoms.

Came here for lunch two days in a row. Yummy as usual and the noodles are fresh and just right. Service is quick and swift. Be sure to check out the menu on the wall which isn’t in the original menu. Try #7, 8, 10. And use cash unless you are planning on spending at least $ 25.00!

I’ve been dying to try QQ Noodle out for AGES, so when the boy told me I could choose where we ate, there was no hesitation. Hand pulled noodles? Yes please! I ended up getting the tomato&egg noodles, and the boy got chow mein. They were brought out relatively fast, and we dug in. First thought? Ehhhhhhh. Underseasoned for sure. I loaded that bowl with soy sauce&pepper. Ahhh much better. The chow mein was okay, too. The boy threw in chili sauce like it was nobody’s business. I really loved the texture of the noodles, but I shouldn’t have to pour a tonnn of soy sauce into my noodles. The service was really good, especially for an Asian place [my water glass was never empty!], but unfortunately, I’m going to have to go with 3 stars.
