I love the variety of sushi here, and the restaurant itself is a really nice, clean place. I always manage to get really good service here even when it’s super busy during the lunch hour. Very nice staff, and very accommodating. HIGHLY recommend the Spicy Crab Lover Roll and the Lady in Pink Roll!

Quick ass service. Nice and crunchy. Food came out quick. Special rolls were good. Then again, when you hit the lunch rush it changes things. The amount of attentiveness as well as the amount of any sort of refill. Basically, service goes down a bit. That’s kind of a given though. Rolls still came out in a timely manner. They were still good. Only waiting for the check was the excruciating part.

To remedy the review or basically add a star to the review that I wrote 7 years ago, this place is my happy spot. I’ve been going here for more than a decade and have sat through management changes but it’s back to its former glory and has been for the past few years. I probably go here 2−3x a week some weeks, if I’m in town. Some of the rolls(Ozzy, specially) are some of the best rolls I’ve had at any sushi place around the nation. Connie and Sako are both awesome. :) Edit: I’m sad Sako’s gone. :(

Usually Friday lunches get packed, but because the place was so big we were seated immediately. Right as you receive the menu you’ll notice the rolls are decently priced than the average sushi restaurants. For the quality, I would say skip. The quality of the fish was luck luster. There were no free miso soup or any complimentary items. Sub par is how I would rate this place.

My coworkers invited me along to go out for lunch. As soon as we walked in, there was a descent amount of people in the restaurant due to rush hour. We were seated right away which is always a good thing. We skipped the appetizers and just went ahead and ordered sushi off of their discounted menu. Yes that’s right! Discount!!! We ordered: Deep fried roll Crunch roll Lion Ling We also had another roll with salmon but I don’t recall the name of it. The deep fried roll was ok for my taste but my coworkers loved it. The outer layer reminded me of chicken katsu. My favorite would have to be the Lion King. The flavor and the texture was good but overall the food here is just about average. I probably wouldn’t come here often knowing a couple really good sushi restaurants in San Jose and Milpitas. Cha cha sushi being one of my favorite and Sen Dai Sushi as well. This place is not something I’d strongly recommend. Service: Average It took them a while to realize that our tab was just sitting on the table. We literally had to tell them that we were ready. I understand that they didn’t want us to feel rush. Anyway, my experience here overall was good.

Of the many Japanese Restaurants at which I’ve eaten, none has ever served me a katsu curry that I have disliked. There have been some that were better than others for various reasons, quality of meat, texture of batter, and the curry itself, but none have ever caused me to wish I had had anything else. Today that has changed. I have the distinct pleasure of reporting that Sushi Tango has the worst Katsu curry I have ever consumed. To be specific I had the tonkatsu so this is not a judgement on the chicken, though I’ll likely never give that a chance after today’s offering. Prior to the meal I was served miso soup which was passable at best but not great. The pork cutlet lacked any flavor of it’s own, instead it tasted of foul oil. The curry was watery and bland, potatoes underdone and even the garnish was mushy. Were there any redeeming factors? The rice was pretty good and I truly appreciate that. If you combine the experience of actually eating the food and the rest of my experience I’d almost definitely give this place only one star… They were out of the lunch special at 12:15, I was put in a corner of the sushi bar where the wait staff was constantly reaching over my shoulder for napkins. However, the staff was quite friendly and everyone else seemed to be enjoying their food… and everyone else’s food looked better. Oh and the place seemed relatively clean :) I believe the 2 stars I offer is letting the joint off easy.

I’ve been here roughly 6 or 7 times, and each time had been great. To start off, the service is great! There are two specific waitresses who are always there, but unfortunately I always forget their names. Anyways, they are so helpful when it comes to ordering and very attentive. It’s nice to have waitresses that aren’t pushy, so that’s a plus. For appetizers, the calamari and Sake Kama is so good. I’ve never had such tender and delicious salmon like I did here. The calamari is also really good and not overly fried. The Poke salad here is a bit different than other sushi places I’ve gone to because underneath the Poke, they put regular salad rather than seaweed salad. This is also really good and has a nice spicy flavor to it. The rolls are also pretty good and cheap. Now this isn’t a 5 star sushi place with $ 20 rolls, but it’s still delicious. I’ve recommend this place to any of my friends. They have a cute group area in the back where I believe you can do karaōke as well!

We tried this place out coz it had a few good reviews about the food. But service REALLYSUCKED. We got seated, the waitress was already a snob. We wanted to move tables she jus said go move in an unpolitley way and we moved our menus ourselves. They dont check how you’re doing and when we got our food the server was a snob. it wasn’t even busy there waz only a couple customers. The staff was standing around in the back. hopefully they would change their additude here because thats how they will get more customers if they had nicer staff that will greet you and serve the way staff supposed to be at restaurants.

Lately for free lunch my work decided on Tango sushi, I’ve tried a lot of their bentou boxes and sushi rolls. Since it’s all take out they do not include soup with your lunch special. You have to place an order for it separately even though their menu says it’s included. I think by our third order they just forgot about the soup and didn’t want to bother giving it to us. Their rolls sizes are quite large not your small rolls that you normally see at sushi restaurants. It’s pretty good, I have never dined here, but I can say they don’t mind taking to go orders and they’ll call you when your order is ready.

Not bad, service slow(not like American restaurant slow aka Black Angus and whatnot) maybe cause it’s dead here(the seem understaff or at least maybe in the kitchen). However the food is actually really good. I really liked the crab lovers roll, the other ones were okay for me. The only thing I didn’t really like is that the rolls crumbled too easily(too soft). Their house salad wasn’t bad, I thought the sauce was straight up ranch when presented to me: but it wasn’t. I really appreciated the huge portion for this considering the price. Their tea taste funny however so I don’t recommend getting it. My boyfriend said it tasted fishy(I just tasted a metallic taste like iron so I think that’s what he meant). But, not bad. 3 – 4 stars. It would be a full 4 or 5 if the rolls weren’t that mushy. I think I didn’t love their seaweed in their tobikio rolls though. I hope business gets better for them cause I don’t think it’s bad or anything. This place is dim and their menus being on a black background: it’s a bit hard to see.

Turns out on weekends, there aren’t many sushi places that stay open past 9PM unless you head over to El Camino/Steven’s Creek(near my house). I was at my boyfriend’s house in east San Jose so we decided to look at places more towards Milpitas/Fremont as opposed to driving back to my area. I had a craving for chirashi salad so we scoured Unilocal with those specs. We found Sushi Tango, which my boyfriend had been to previously, and decided to drive on over since our options were getting more and more limited as the time past. Prior to getting in the car, he made sure to set my expectations that the restaurant is an average Japanese restaurant. Nothing amazing, but not terrible. And yeah, it was exactly that. Food wasn’t impressive but wasn’t the worst. He ordered a chicken teriyaki bento and tempura roll while I went with the chirashi salad over rice(also known as hwae dup bap). Miso soup was lacking in flavor and my salad had a lot of rice in it. Fish was a little too fishy too. The chicken teriyaki wasn’t bad though and came on a large sizzling platter. 15% off select rolls as well. I think the saving grace was that the service was really nice and welcoming otherwise I would’ve docked a star. I want to like the place because the girls were so nice. Maybe I’ll come back again and try some other dishes, who knows.

Wasn’t too pleased with this place at all. Used to go here when I was in high school several years ago but after management changed it, went down hill. I heard the management changed and it for better so I tried it out again. They redesigned the place and seemed roomier. I liked the new set up. The good is still good. I ordered hamachi nigiri. Fish seemed fresh and was enjoyable. Slices were much smaller than you’d get at Aniki’s. The gyoza and edamame were decent too. My friend had the house salad and said she liked it. The dressing was creamy and yummy topped with cucumber. She also got a roll where the spicy tuna on the inside is deep fried before put into the roll so the whole roll isn’t cooked, but the spicy tuna is. Super basic and bland if you like me, but for all picky sushi eaters, a roll possibly worth trying. I also saw you can create your own roll and that was something I’d like to do. Didn’t get the chance last time. The real. I am giving stars so low is because of the service. Our particular waitress(Denise or colleen I believe her name was; sorry) was great. On top of it as best she could be given the circumstances. On a Saturday evening at 6:30, only one sushi chef was on shift. It literally took me 57 minutes to get my hamachi. Was super bummed about it. With so much time between my appetizer and nigiri, I left still hungry.

So only one guy making sushi on a Saturday night? No wonder ½ the rolls are on sale. Sushi on sale? Sounds gross right like 3 day old fish eat up quick before it turns lol. Ok FAIL just saying sorry doesn’t help when you’re hungry. They should be giving out free soy beans or soup Maybe a salad??? Doesn’t cost much to do

Came here with a friend for lunch. We got here around 12:10pm and we got seated right away. We got our beverages reallly quick, and we were able to order our food within 5 minutes. Their service was okay from beginning to the end. I ordered their Tuesday lunch special Teriyaki chicken, croquette, with a side of miso soup, about $ 8. Pretty cheap, more food for my bucks. My friend Nhan ordered their tuna rolls and some other sushi roll, forgot name. It didn’t take long for my meal to come out, probably less than 10 minutes. My miso soup was super hott which was great! The croquette(fried potatoe) was perfectly fried, not too oilly, just crispy enough. The teriyaki chicken was okay. It was a little dry and burnts, but still good to eat. I thought the portion will be bigger, but that’s what I’ll get for $ 8, right? Anyways, after my food arrived, my friend’s food didn’t come after 20 minutes. If we didn’t ask about his rolls, they wouldv’e forgotten about it. Their sushi is not bad, but their portion is small. Overall, good for lunch. Their lunch specials are different Mon.-Friday w/one option to choose from, and some of their sushi’s are 50% off. Maybe next time I’ll come back and try their sushi.

I spontaneously went on a Monday night with a couple of my friends, and I’m pretty impressed! If you’ve been to Cha Cha sushi in SJ, the sushi is similar but for half the price! I got the lion king and aloha rolls, and they were both so yummy! It came out to be about $ 15 for both before tip. I’m definitely coming back! Quality sushi for a great price, how can you say no to that?!

This place has a great ambiance inside it’s very clean and the food is good too! I had tried this place with my coworker at first and took my friends here last night. The pricing is even better. There are tons of rolls ranging from 6 – 10 bucks. That’s pretty cheap for sushi. Sometimes cheap sushi isn’t that great but that isn’t a problem here. When I came here on a weekday during lunch time it was super packed but on a Friday night at around 7 it was not packed at all. The only thing that irritated me was that even though it was not busy they took a really long time to bring us the check and then take it back. Other than that it was good and I would def recommend this place.
