Taro-Taro milk tea with taro chunks is the best! Loving their super cute mascot too!

Thinking about my summer body, but also ’bout them Boba… Nice decoration with plenty of space to study and hang out with friends! I like that they have plenty of options for picky boba fiends like me :) Rainkissed Green Tea is unique with a refreshing bit of real lime and mint. Sweetness is adjustable and the staff here are really friendly, so I’ll be back!

Finally got the time to try this place out. Came here with my boyfriend around 8 and surprisingly the place was empty with only 1 other table. We wanted some warm dessert and this place had some on the menu but when we got there it wasn’t on the menu and they said they stopped doing it. Sad, I wanted to try! The reason why I was so hooked on trying this place out is cause of the Hojicha and Genmai. I LOVVEEE Genmai, like that’s one of my favorite teas but you can’t find then anywhere at your typical tea place): Got the Genmai milk tea, matcha latte, and matcha crêpe. The Genmai was soooooo good, only downside is that I forgot to ask for less ice. There was too much ice and melted pretty fast so the drink started to get a bit watery. But it’s ok! Hot Matcha latte was ok… I’ve had better. Matcha crêpe was pretty good! Overall, service is great and the menu has a large variety. Plenty of seating so it’s a nice place to chill with your friends. I wished they opened earlier so I can pick up some drinks before my boyfriends lunch but it’s ok. Will be coming back soon!(:

Ordered the rose lychee tea. It was just OK. No tea taste, more like vitamin water. My friend got the strawberry tea and they forgot the boba. Must be a new employee. Sticking to Gong Cha.

— - =[ SUMMARY ]= — - Decent drinks, decent environment(good number of seats and outlets, pretty décor & lighting). I can see this becoming a new hotspot for students and yuppies. — - =[ DRINKS ]= — - Despite the name of the store, I did NOT order a taro drink. Instead, based on other reviews, I ordered a «Mango Your Way» drink, without any modifications, and it turned out to be pretty good — not too sweet, doesn’t taste artificial at all, and I’d say above-par as a mango TEA drink(it is not a smoothie, so don’t expect that richly aromatic taste we mango-lovers have come to expect). — - =[ SERVICE ]= — - The staff is attentive and friendly. . .(to be updated)..

I’ve been here twice. The 1st time, I bought a crêpe. I also bought a warm oolong boba drink. Both were very good. I love both kinds of desserts in general, and love that they have those options! The 2nd time I’ve been there, I ordered the, «Your Way mango» drink.(OMG!!!) 1st off, I love mangoes. 2nd of all, I love tapioca drinks. 3rd of all, mixing mango grass jelly AND tapioca together?! Amazing! I know it’s old news to do that, but I never really actually did that in the past. Love, love, LOVE the decorations. Very cute. 1st of all, I love purple, especially lavender. I also love the fact that they honor«Five Star Rewards.» 2nd time I went there, I actually had a, «Buy one get one free» drink. Very spacious place, and also cute tables that are shiny. Definitely one of my «go to» places when I’m in Fremont for Boba AND crepes.

Drinks and desserts are average at best. However, this place has less crowds so if you want to relax in peace this is a more than suitable place for you.

Been frequenting this place often recently due to the convenience of location and the drinks have definitely improved. Pearls are sweet, texture consistent, and milk tea has been good. Since adding additional food items I’ve tried the popcorn chicken and calamari and both are good.

The milk tea here is very much like Tapioca Express, QCup, or Quicklys, except it’s been rebranded. If you’re looking for quality milk tea, don’t come here. At least their crepes and dessert items look delicious!

The boba here is mediocre in my opinion. Taste aligns somewhat with quickly or tapioca express. The tea flavor is very light and not fresh at all. I got a jasmine milk tea crema and the jasmine tea was overpowered by milk. The crema also wasnt too flavorful. Its usually salty or sweet. This didnt have flavor at all. Besides that, the environment is cool. Its hard to find a boba place with good seating. And their shaved snow looked good also, but nothing stood out enough for me to want to come back.

I can’t say I had anything here yet. We had all good intentions to get something but looking at the snows we wanted more of a bingsoo with a bunch of fruit than just flavored shaved ice with little to no toppings. Fruit is extra cost($ 0.75 each) as well as other toppings like mochi was $ 0.50 so we were kind of turned off. We headed to Paris Baguette instead but in retrospect the costs would’ve been the same altogether, but I really just wanted shaved ice vs. snow. Oh well! I’ll definitely come back to try them out another time.

Taro taro is located in a plaza with barely any other shops so there’s no other competition nearby. The interior décor is nice and modern, plenty of seats to sit and chat with friends. The employees are very friendly which makes this place more welcoming since it was empty when I walked in. I ordered the taro milk tea with honey boba(taro is probably their signature drink?) and it was way too sweet and the boba balls were hard. I contemplated throwing it away but it was $ 5 so I took it for the long drive home in traffic in case I got thirsty and was desperate enough to take some more sips. They accept credit card with no minimum. Five star reward program based point per dollar and 50 points equals a free drink. Maybe my drink was a miss because they just opened so if I’m around the neighborhood again I’ll give them another try.

Their taro characters are the absolute cutest! My sister showed me this place, but before that I had no idea this even existed. Taro Taro is located right next to World Gourmet buffet. Literally neighboring it. I knew that they were adding shops and more eateries around the area, I think they are turning it into an Asian-esque plaza? Anyway, I went here around 8pm on a Sunday night with my boyfriend and the place was pretty dead. Other than us, there were two other parties, but the larger party was basically the owner’s friends? Not to sound rude, but despite it being a boba shop and boba shops are known to be hangout spots, I thought they were way too loud and obnoxious. Like yelling, shouting, screaming. I could not even hear my friend talk to me and we sat right next to each other… The other party had their toddler child running all over the place and screaming for days on days. Mind me, she is just a child but their parents did not seem to care either. Maybe I was having a bad day before coming to Taro Taro, and I cannot expect people to have inside voices but they should not be so loud where other guests cannot hear or talk to their friends or family… like why are you causing such a commotion or ruckus? Onto ordering. 30% off drinks from 9÷19−9÷20. My friend got the dark roast oolong milk tea with boba and I got the jasmine milk tea. Both our drinks were good, they had a strong tea taste, which I personally like. My friend likes his drinks on the sweeter side, but he still killed it within minutes of drinking it. The mascot/characters are adorable! I washed my cup and kept it so I can fold paper cranes and stars in it lol #wthkristine *** there is no card minimum and they offer five star here! Wifi is also offered here as well, just ask an employee for access. Place is not that big but there is plenty of seating. About 2 – 3 small ones and 3 larger tables. Aside from the yelling and shouting, I would not mind coming back to try other drinks.

Dangerous. I live within walking distance from this place. Strong tea, good boba, other desserts… seriously I’ve been here more times than I care to admit and they haven’t even been opened for a month. Their awesome soft opening promo is now gone. Can’t blame them… 50% off is a steal for good boba. Like I mentioned, strong teas. This isn’t for fans of watered down drinks, mushy/hard boba. The price is a little high, but unfortunately on par with other boba places in the area. TaroTaro milk tea… this drink is no joke. At a place named Taro Taro, you would expect their taro drink to be excellent, and this one doesn’t miss a beat. If you can’t decide what to get, this is an awesome go-to option. Not only is the milk tea a tasty creamy concoction, but there are actual bits of taro in it! Whoa! Tropical smoothie… delicious and refreshing! There’s real fruit up in there! Taro snow ice… on point. Mochi balls make all the difference. White boba… the only drink I wasn’t really impressed with. The tea is still strong, but the white grape flavor is weird. You can adjust your sweetness and ice, as with most places, but the weird thing is sweetness levels go from 30% to 70%. What happened to 50%?! I usually get 30% anyway, so it doesn’t bother me, but I know a lot of people enjoy a happy medium at 50%. I’ll be back. Sooner than the dieter in me would like.

I felt like it was a dream come true when I saw the word«TAROTARO»(repeated, too!) in the title of a tea house! Pretty bold statement, as taro is such a beloved drink/dessert flavor but no one is really willing to cater to those who love this complex root. My significant other and I were super excited to try out this new place! We came on a Friday evening around 9:30PM, 30 minutes before closing. As we were driving into this area, we weren’t really sure what we came for since the area is pretty industrial/quiet? Parking is somewhat plentiful and pretty well-lit so that answered our fears! We were greeted with smiles, and given some time to look over the menu display.(Of course, I came in prepared.) We ordered: –1 order of Taro-Taro Shaved Snow //REAL taro! I mean, it tastes like the defrosted/boiled ones you can get from 99… but at least I know it was real at some point! It is not sweetened like other places, so if you dislike taro in it’s original form… steer clear! Mochi pieces were fine, and I actually really enjoyed the texture and flavor of the taro snow! It is thick and layered, not choppy and fine like other places. Pretty worth the $ 6.99 price! –1 order of Taro Taro-Taro Milk Tea //I was pretty disappointed when I got this drink! While I was fortunate that the 50% applied to this drink(so it only costed $ 2.13) but still– the original price being $ 4.25 is a bit TOO much for a drink that contains nothing but taro powder mixed with some milk and syrup. I believe it used to have taro chunks in it, but now it doesn’t? So… if I went now(soft-opening is over), I would have to pay $ 4.25 for a taro drink? No way, Jose! ANDDDD I was not even informed of this change. RIP. Pros: –Great service! Super nice people! I guess that should be the case, especially since this place just opened. –Clean environment! Seriously, I can still smell the paint in this building. Cons: –Kind of pricey. I am not sure if I would venture the distance here to get a drink, whereas I can go to Pac Commons and get Super Cue, or even Sno-Crave for the same or even cheaper price. Tips/Observations: –They accept Five Stars Rewards! –One of the late night hang out places! They open until 10PM… yay for the sleepless in Fremont! Overall, I would give this place another shot if I was around. But I wouldn’t come out just for this either.(Pretty much on the fence here!)

I’m a sucker for cute things. The mascots for Tarotaro are no exception, and I was drawn in as soon as I saw their sign.(The 50% off soft opening promotion banner also helped(;) We strolled in and were greeted promptly by the workers. There was a sign on the door that said all of their teas except taro and Thai are out, so we walked in a bit disappointed, but the workers quickly clarified that the sign only meant that drinks were going to take a little bit longer because their brewing machine broke down. Okay, still works out for us! After looking through their menu, we decided upon the hojicha tea, brown sugar milk tea, tropical sunshine smoothie, and a taro milk tea(the taro tarotaro milk tea usually comes with real taro chunks, but they were out of taro chunks for the day). Everything was great! The tea flavor was strong, the boba was perfect, and the smoothie was made with fresh fruit — super refreshing for a hot day. Seating is spacious and everything is clean and squeaky-new. I know it’s their soft opening, so they’re still getting a few kinks out, but I’ll definitely be back again soon(especially to take advantage of their soft opening promotion while it lasts!)

Ah it’s such a hard decision to give it a one star but after a while I got the build your own I still felt like I was ripped off! 50% off sign outside but it actually only works on drinks. $ 7.15 for the build your own with only half a cup full of stuff Asked for mung bean but got red bean The taro chunks are crunchy, shouldn’t it be soft? Waited for a long time with only one order before us Parking is bad because the buffet restaurant is very popular Not worth it for the amateur quality

Sign stated 50% off but it’s only on drinks which eliminates 50% of their menu items Decided to go with a build-your-own and after a long wait, was saddened by a sad half cup full of what looks like something you can put together at home Gave it the benefit of the doubt and took a bite only to find out it tastes exactly like how it looks. Horrible value. Misleading sign. Cash only(for now). I can’t recommend it. Not coming back for a while – Update: Owner got back to me that this bowl is not supposed to look this way. I asked for a pic of what it was supposed to look like Update #2: The owner changed his comment to say they are improving their menu.

This place is on the opposite corner of World Gourmet. Very cute banner! We walked in & were greeted with a friendly hello! My friend & I were their first customers & they were really helpful! They gave us their suggestions & said that since they’re new, feel free to give feedback! Its a bit funny since it was the owner, Zhong, plus three workers ready to take our order. They were pretty excited. It’s a very open space with lots of comfy chairs & tables. Simple décor, which is nice! There is free wifi too! The menu ranges from teas, milk cream, shaved ice to snacks. All your drink orders, you can adjust the sweetness & ice level. I ordered the classic oolong tea with boba. Very good! A very mellow feeling drinking the drink. The boba is soft too! My friend ordered the rainkiss with aloe & it’s very refreshing! Creates a pip in your step! It feels like your ordinary boba shop, especially with so many boba shops popping up around every corner, but the service is memorable & I really enjoyed my tea :) TIPS: –cash for now since their CC machine isn’t up & running yet.
