This is definitely a «regulars» kind of bar. I wondered in with a friend when I was new to Fremont and everybody stared at us as like«who the heck are you?». With the stench of drunk construction workers, old ladies with too much perfume and grungy building smell, we saddled up to the bar and waited for a drink to give the huddle a last chance to save our initial experience with their drinks. The Drinks were average and reminded me of a little casino bar in Reno and the clientele to match. I overheard the table next to use, looked like the same age rage as my friend and I, and they were discussing if they should stay for the karaōke? My friend and I are not karaōke people and that was our cue to leave. I know there is only like 3 bars in Fremont and none of them are what I am used to back home but this place is definetly worth skipping.

I’ve been coming to the huddle since moving back from SoCal to the bay. I can’t find a bar any better. Good folks, good drinks the way a bar should be. Always a good time. I’ll see you there.

We go to the Huddle when we want to get out dance have a good time and feel safe. We have known the Owner Jenelle for years and really like the way she runs the place. Love that they have live music and Karaōke.

Let’s see well this place I can say I only go around 4 times a year if that, because one of my friends suggest to go to when we bar hop. For one, I fuckin hate it, not a fan at all! Cash only, over priced for old tasting beer in a bottle, the Latin Asian looking bartender not sure what she is, I can say a straight bitch cunt to describe to you all. She bartends there on Saturday nights for sure I know of, and has a fucked up attitude every time I’ve gone there. She takes her ugly ass time to get you a bottle of beer throws your money at you practically. Doesn’t look at you when your trying to get her attention for drinks, you tip her and she doesn’t acknowledge it she walks up and grabs your money and walks away. The crowd is hit or miss, most of the time the crowd is an older crowd which is whatever but they all stare and gawk you like you shouldn’t be in there. I know a couple cool people that kick it there regularly. When they aren’t there I’m like ugh great this really sucks now! Back in the days it wasn’t bad. Nowadays?, psssssh… I gotta admit they have the best jukebox in fremont and the selection is off the hook. Too bad its stuck in that dump stump puddle … Yes eff this dump and that miserable lousy FISHLOOKIN good for nothing bartender! I’ve seen her there for the past 2 years. How does this bitch still work here?! I’d straight tell her to KICKROCKS! The 1 star is for the jukebox fyi

Went here last night to listen to the live band. I knew I was going to a dive bar, been to others in Fremont, Hayward, etc. The stage walls are covered with black plastic that is totally unappealing. Wonder if they really are renovating the walls or not? Looks like it has been there for a while. Band was very good and enjoyable but the vibe was really weird. I did not stay past midnight and asked my friend to walk me out to my car.

Went here last night, first time in over 30 years I have been out to a bar. Went with no expectations, and was not disappointed, Had a few drinks, danced and met some really nice people. A nice mixture of age groups and all seem to be respectful to each other.

Ohhh the good olé huddle. I live about a minute away so that’s probably why I end up here so often. Love the karaōke nights gets super crackin sometimes! And the guy who runs it is super eye candy so why not?! But the drinks are sometimes over priced for how they taste. they charge a dollar for water(like really come on) and they don’t accept credit cards. Cash only bar. Let’s get with the times Huddle!

This is a DIVE bar. Your experience will live and die with the group you go in with. Lotta regulars. Some misfits lol. Lots of times the live music is really good. The drinks are fairly priced too. You gotta come to this joint with expectations. Don’t expect to get fufu drinks in this establishment, they don’t know how to make them and more than likely don’t have the ingredients. Simple drinks and beer. Bring a crowd, enjoy the band and you’ll have a good time.

1 star for being around longer than I’ve been alive, I’ll give ya props for hangin’ in there you old wiley vet. The con is some of the regs and bartenders have probably been here since that time as well: / Another star for sportin’ very cool bay area sports memorabilia. Stabler, Montana, Jim Otto check, check and check. And a lot of their pictures are not the generic ones you see all over the place, its almost museum like. Despite their heavy theme on sports, I still haven’t watched a game here. Maybe someday, but then again maybe not. Final star is for their no-joke skrong pours, that’ll make even an alcoholic blush. The glass ware seems small, but believe you-me, you can get hurt up in hur. Late nights can get real interesting as there is a mix between the regs(see above) and local restaurant night crews tend to hang here after their shifts. I’ve seen a 60+ year old dude bust out hip hop moves to entertain the youngin’ crowd. And the crowd went nuts and twerked with this fool. I rubbed my eyes and looked at my drink and wondered, what the hell did they put in this?! I did mention skrong drinks right?!

Not too much to say here, a local dive bar, locally owned, been there for decades, only one beer on tap budweiser, can’t order a draft when live music starts to play. Sat comfortably on seats my grandparents might have sat on when they were 21. or 18. it was nice but whatever.

Love the Huddle: I work next door, I will go over after work. They have Karoke on Sunday’s, Wednesday’s and Thursday’s. Nickie does it on Wednesday’s. She is GREAT! lots of energy and she will play whatever you want. Dre Rivers usually does Sunday’s and Thursday’s. He is the best. Oh ya and he can sing!!! I am an event planner and I alway’s recommend him to my clients that are in need of a DJ for their event. Janelle the owner is amazing…

One word: Ugh!!! Like: Great mix of unpretentious, old, young, fat, skinny, happy people singing Karaōke tonight. Dislike: One beer on tap(Budweiser, whaaaat… do they even brew that anymore!!!). I had the unmitigated gall to ask the barkeep what beers she had in a bottle, and I got the EYEROLL, then a «think of one, then tell me when i come back». She could not even give me a top five, or one or two that she had in bottles. I had to admit, after she said that, I got some performance anxiety, and just drew a blank. SOOOOO… I finally could think of a beer I wanted after about 30 minutes of not seeing her: It was a beer, ANY beer, at ANY freaking tavern that is NOT the Fremont Huddle. sigh…

Let me start by saying, I have fun wherever I go. Gotta make the best– especially when you’re with your bests! My friends and I ventured into this… establishment, roughly two weeks ago. It’s in a shopping center I frequent often, so I had a little feel of the crowd– as they tend to spill out the doors to chain smoke. I now understand why it is known as a ‘regulars’ kinda bar. I’m guessing no matter what time you go, the same people will be there at the same time… day or night. The girls and I arrive, and as soon as we come in we are bombarded with eyes on us. We were not particularly dressed up. I think it was our young, glowing skin. YOU. CAN. TELL. they are ALLLLL regulars, by the way the stare. Creepy. We immediately head for the bar, the angry bag of dust IDs us right away, with such urgency– as if we would choose this bar to blend into had we been under age. She whisks the three IDs away to inspect them… not with the cool black light like Julie thought. No, she squints under a dirty, dim lamp for 3 minutes– trying to do the math. FINALLY! Three Patron Cadillacs, please! :) We spot some seating in the back, perfect. Get settled. Live band, mehh. Atmosphere– everyone is having a great time. Including me and the boos. Looking around I see ample seating all along the bar, lots of standing room. Tall stools and tables all around. A stage and room to dance. OMG. The dancing. I really am such a people watcher! Not a judgmental people watcher… maybe? This is the place to watch. Just a bunch of older heads getting their weird, awkward grind on. I dunno if it was the second round of purple cadis, but I started to slowly look around and think«I will NOT settle for THIS as FUN when I’m their age.» It was kinda like movie montage status… BOTTOMLINE Ample parking/seating Expect to be gazed at &/or fucked with if you don’t spend your paycheck there Music is way too loud Drinks are average priced, but inconsistent.

Why did I come here? Shouldn’t going to a bar on a Friday night be nothing but happy fun time? I almost didn’t finish my drink because I wanted to get out of here so badly… Maybe it was the country music playing on the jukebox, people singing along and my immense dislike of country music that turned me off. Maybe I’m just the wrong demographic for this particular establishment. At any rate, when I got home, I almost wanted to take a shower to wash The Huddle off of me…

I went here for a New Year’s Day party with my group and to watch one of my members’ band Bump City Dance Band play on stage. The Huddle was just okay for me. It’s one of those dive bars with a live band gig. I’m not really a fan of drinking when I’m driving, but I carpooled when I went here. I had a couple of drinks. Too much coke in their Jack-n-Coke in a tiny glass. I liked that they have a huge parking space in front of them as it is located in a small plaza opposite OSH and other businesses. So parking was not a problem when we went here. That was my only visit so far.
