What can I say?! This is the only phở place of this central side of town, so, we come here once 1 month or every other month although they have a very bad customer service. Especially the old lady with the bob cut and slicked back hair. Every time we enter to their restaurant, she is already giving us that rude look. Never greet us. Always rush us to our order. And lastly, greedy about their water/foam cups for our kids. The only good thing is their fried pork phở. That’s all. Other than that, they have nothing special there.

It was on a Thursday night. There were about four tables waiting on their food. One waitress roughly in her late 40’s. We didn’t get a «hi welcome please be seated«We got the«I don’t give a rats ass where you sit but just sit down.» We waited for another 7 minutes to get our water, then the menu was given to us. Waited another 5 minutes to order. Waited another 15 minutes for our food while our waitress chomps on her food. People were all waiting. Customer service sucks. Food was no bueno. I’ve had better phở. As my friends were finishing up their food, a family of four came in and of course they seated themselves. It took a while for the waitress to notice the new customers. She then speaks in Hmong. Took their orders and basically they waited and waited. Well, I should have ran out of the restaurant like they did. Yup. What a legend. Thank you for the chirping crickets. You really need some music, or a small tv. Something !!!

So, this place is right down the street from me and I was really craving Phở tonight. I have read the reviews on here and have been hesitant about going because the reviews are so mixed. Thankfully, I am one to form my own opinions and will try a place out even if it’s gotten poor reviews. Glad I went tonight. I know many have complained about the service, but we went at 7pm on a Friday night and there were several other patrons there. We were greeted and seated right away. Drinks came within 3 minutes of ordering them, and they took our order for our food very quickly. My hubby and I ordered the number 7, which was the the Flank and brisket if I remember correctly. We also ordered the spring rolls, but with it being so late, they were out of the noodles to make them. I got the Thai tea which was sweet, creamy and amazing. The Phở came out and we have been spoiled by another Phở place we eat at which has amazing award winning Phở, so I was skeptical, but this was GOOD! I’m glad I went… it was flavorful, hot, had fresh basil, sprouts, jalapeño, and lime… it was really good. Totally satisfied my craving tonight and with them being so close, I’ll definitely go back.

Great phở! Papaya salad is the best! Location isn’t bad either, especially when I don’t feel like driving across town. I could be in the mood for their phở everyweek. Great place for a quick work lunch. I recommend the medium, since it’s only $.50 more than the small.

Dirty, cluttered with boxes, tables not bussed and slow service… not a good first impression — I decided not stay and eat and would not go back.

Slow service. Never got a refill for water. Spring rolls were hare and mostly composed of lettuce and lunch meat. Phở was pland. Server dropped off food and never came back. No not recommend to anyone.

Food is worth it! The phở is wonderful. I always get the PS2– the spring rolls are unforgettable! I recommend highly. Place is really clean and comfortable. (Must try cotton candy/bubble gum mixed smoothie.) Bad– costumer service is poor. They really don’t care. But I mean what do u expect. Just get your food and eat. 4* because poor service. Good is excellent.

Good food, slow customer service. Need more workers to get better services. Also fix the timing on here cause sometimes I get off work at 9 and it’s already closed when it says it closes at 10!

Bad customer services. She never came to check on us and when she was taking our orders she lacked people skills. The food came on time and I love the location. They did not have what I wanted even though it was on the menu. The phở was watery and they didn’t put enough noodles or meat in it. The spring rolls were good, but the egg rolls were not. I order a thai ice coffee and it was so sweet that it’s gross. The bathroom was very gross. I would not go back, even though I’m Hmong and want to support small Hmong businesses.

Since this phở place is just down the street from my house, I decided to stop by with my daughter for a quick bowl of phở after a long day of shopping. As my daughter and I walked in, I saw that the two Hmong ladies who worked there were seated and eating at the time. They did not greet us nor did they bother to come take our order. We sat down for a good 5 minutes before one of the lady finally got up from her seat to grab us a menu. During the 5 minutes of waiting, I debated on leaving, but decided to stay because I knew my baby was hungry. After we ordered, it took another 15 mins before my food came out. My kaopoon was extremely flavorless! The service sucked as usually, but since the food was flavorless, it made the experience even worse!!! Legendary Phở only has customers because they are literally the only phở place out that way.

Good or bad??? It’s pretty great! I like my phở #1 and just found out my padthai noodles was excellent here! Noodle was cooked perfect and looked how I expected it to be and the taste oh… so yummie!!! Gotta try it to believe it!

Two reasons I used to eat here: One because they are the only phở on W. Ashland that I know of. Second because of love the fried pork on Phở #2. But the last couple of times my boyfriend and I have been pretty disappointed. On one occasion I found a piece of plastic in my phở. Another time, our Phở was so watered down it tasted as if they had added water to make it last. And the last couple of times it seemed like they put less meat no matter what size you ordered. I will not be coming back here again.

I came to this place with my friend on a weekend evening because we were in the mood for phở and it’s literally next to where she lives so we thought it’d be convenient to come here since we’ve passed by it before. As soon as we walked in, the place had an odd greasy smell to it. Kinda weird since it isn’t fast food. We stood there for about 5 minutes and nobody would come out. We had to literally go by the back and ask for assistance. Once we got seated, we ordered the chicken phở, and the chai tea, along with a side of egg rolls. Being honest, the egg rolls and chai tea were really good in our opinion, but the phở was kinda boring. I feel that maybe it’s just because the chicken phở is more plain. Maybe other dishes have more flavor seeing what they put in them, but as for the chicken phở, it doesn’t have much flavor and they only put in about 5 thin strips of chicken. Also, even to leave, we had to go ask for assistance from the back. The woman was a bit rude. I would have seriously considered dining and ditching due to this, but that’s not the honest way. Hopefully they improve their services. The only reason I like this place is because it’s right by my high school. Perfect for going with friends after school. But, for now, we’ll go else were.

If I could I would rate with a 0 star… ordered a medium number 1… bit into the beef balls and was beyond disgusted! It was so foul I almost puked! Those beef balls probably been sitting out uncooked for the whole day… they had the audacity to serve that! They must not want customers to come back… told them and they said no its fresh… yea right my ass! Didn’t care just thought I wanted a free meal… never again!

This place has bad reviews on here for what ever reasons. I saw all those reviews and as I usually do it I winged it and see for myself. I ignored all that I read and walked on in. Small mom and pop place. Staff was friendly and quick to help you out. I ordered the combo phở. It was a very decent large size. The soup it self had a good flavor the noodles tasted fresh and they give a generous amount. I had two Thai teas which were okay. I’m use to my fav Thai place in LA which holds the bar in LA and anywhere else for that matter. Having said that I wouldn’t think it twice to stop by at this place next time I’m back in town.

Totally a rip off. Ordered to go food and they change their prices each time. This time we ordered papaya to go and they charged $ 6 for a small portion. Not even worth the money spent. Too bad we didn’t realize it til we got home. Not happy and not going back.

Finally… After 10 check ins and weekly trips here for the past couple of years i can honestly say that I love the phở. It only makes sense to say that. Right? Right… Don’t get it twisted. I’m not implying that they’re perfect. They are certainly not when it comes to customer service to the average Joe. Well, I’ll have you know that I am not the average Joe and I get treated excellently. I suppose it’s loyalty. What do you care? About that review… 1. The place is fairly clean. It just depends on the time of day you go. I have been there when the young woman decided to bust out the dirt devil. I told her to put it away. Vacuuming when people are eating is unsanitary. She stopped immediately. 2. Customer service. Needs improvement. Truly nothing personal, but I have seen the dining room unattended far more than it should be. Big no-no. Another main concern is that they tend to use child labor. I just don’t want a kid serving my food. I don’t care if Junior is trying to learn the family business. At least be high school age. 3. What can I say about the phở. The broth is a little on the mild side but nothing that cannot be perfected without hoisin sauce or Sriracha. It’s best that way anyway. The beef is lean with no fat on it, which means there are no fat bubbles in your broth unlike other places in Fresno. Definitely worth a try. Ultimately, you’re going to have to judge this place for yourself as many of you will anyway because that’s what this is all about. I read the other reviews and I must say I’m rather fortunate that I have not had a negative experience, just observational. Based on what I’ve seen, I’m going to have to give this place 4 stars out of 5.

Their food is awesome! It is fresh and delicious. The only reasons I don’t give them 5 stars is because they tend to have sticky tables and flies, but to me that’s usually a sign of good food. Also, do not go here if you’re in a hurry. They are pretty slow. Compared to other Phở places we go, they don’t skimp in the amount of meat in it. Try all the Phở! My kids love the chicken chow mein. The pad Thai is great and I love the spring rolls.
