Chicken Express

This place is hideous and horrific! Please save yourself the time and money. I have tried to give this location several chances, but the service is bad and the food is cold. I have complained more than the law allows and the manager states they can’t find teens who want to work «because they have everything.» I will not be back no matter how hungry I am.

Today I went to the chicken express on main & teel in frisco. And I was ordering and I hesitated for a second. And the person taking my order said come on lady, and I kinda looked surprised and said that all. And he said you can order more. So karlee was with me and heard him too. So we just left. So I called, back and asked for the Manager. And he said I am the manager. I told him what we heard and he was rude and said he didn’t say that. Then he told me he got burnt and said something else, I told him karlee and I heard what he said. And told me. «He was sorry he got burnt lady». And hung up on me. So if you want to be served by a rude manager go there but if not go to the chicken express on Preston rd. Very rude manager. People have no respect. I would not recommend this chicken express at all. Go to the one on Preston road in frisco Rx.

Where to begin? This place is horrible! First of all, the employees (Bria), don’t listen to clearly when your placing the order. I clearly said no gravy and it wasn’t noted on the receipt when I paid and I could clearly see it placed inside my box as I was waiting (forever) for my food.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, I was never given my drink during the 15 minutes I was waiting, and I watched bria doing several other tasks, including taking an order to someone outside in the drive-​thru line and accepting cash payment for the order. All of this took place without her wearing gloves at any point or washing her hands once before going back to handling food. Absolutely disgusting!
Finally, she brought me my food with her dirty hands. When I brought the fact that she incorrectly included gravy with my order, she just looked at me crazy and said, «Oh,» and took it out of the box and handed it to me. I asked for an extra roll in place of the gravy, as every other Chicken Express location has always happily done, INCLUDING this one. «We can’t do that,» Bria says. I asked when that policy changed. «Since my owner doesn’t like for me to do that» was the answer. I asked for the owner’s name and she said it was Aubrey. I told her I wasn’t happy with her level of service or her uncaring attitude and she just looked at me like someone with the IQ of a tennis shoe. I told her to let Aubrey know that I’d be leaving an unfavorable review of their establishment and she gave me the «thumbs up» sign with this sarcastic smirk on her face. I wanted to give her a finger sign, too, but decided against it. I’ll let my wallet respond for me, by spending my dollars elsewhere going forward.
There is a reason why the average review for this place is two stars (and getting lower). AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Terrible service. Employees are rude. They messed up my order and charged my card wrong twice! I had to pull up and wait for my order. Took them 10+ minutes.

The employees that work there are so rude. My food was soggy like it had been sitting there a long time. My roll was so hard it cut my gums when I bit into it.
When I asked to talk to the manager he was also rude.
One last thing they charged for the wrong meal. So in the mean time of all of this my food wasn’t even right.
If I could tell everybody not to go there I would. It was one of the worst food places I’ve ever gone.
I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN.

Great chicken, good fast service. No complaints.

Unfriendly staff, order took 11 minutes to get to the table with 1 other party in the whole restaurant. It was 2 o’clock, way passed the lunch rush. Don’t think we’ll be back.

Worst service ever. We are so disappointed. We came at 9:30pm to order food for the kids. We ordered 8 piece catfish family pack and 7 piece chicken meal. We ordered at 9:33 and didn’t get out of there till 10:30.
They had 3 old pieces of fish left, so they packed those for us then made 5 new pieces. Every single new piece was not cooked. The old pieces were hard and chewy. They didn’t even taste like fish.
The chicken was not crispy. The hush puppies and the bread were all burnt.
Please avoid this location. The service is horrible. They workers there obviously don’t know customer service.

When I first went the chicken was crispy. The last 3x it was GREASY. Terrible customer sevice. Young teens having a good time in kitchen having fun. No management.

This is the second time I’ve received bad food at night. The mashed potatoes were sour & the chicken was dry. Be aware the food is bad at night for some reason.

RUDE and very childish staff. Food was also cold and the grease tasted old.
My daughter’s volleyball teams chose Chicken Express for their after game gathering/​dinner. Their restaurant went from completely empty to completely full. Except for the drive through lane, we were their only customers.
Surprise… 12 year old girls can be a little loud. But instead of asking one of the parents to help, the staff began dropping pans and banging utensils in a childish, passive aggressive display.
When I confronted the manager, a woman named Shane (sp), regarding her staff’s rude behavior, she said the she and her staff couldn’t hear and the other customers were bothered. I pointed to every table and told her we were her ONLY customer. She then became belligerent and rude and said, «you should take care of that».
Note to Franchise Owner: Get a manager who appreciates customers.

I stopped at this location on my way home. I ordered the 2 pc fish filet dinner with fries, hush puppies and corn nuggets. The fish was lukewarm and rubbery. The fries were cold; the hush puppies and corn nuggets were the only decent items I received. I’ve given several locations a try and this was my last time patronizing this franchise. #sorrynotsorry

Very much hit or miss here with the quality of the food and how it is cooked. When this particular Chicken E first opened it was great and they had a good manager. The lunch specials are also a really good deal. But now the place is run by people who seem to not care and quality just keeps getting worse. The restaurant is also always freezing cold. This seems to be a trend at many fast food establishments lately… freeze them out so they’ll leave quicker. Biggest problem is the food gets cold very fast and isn’t very good with full blast AC blowing on it. Once the new Chicken E in Frisco on Preston opens we will be trying that one out. I hope it isn’t the same ownership.

Ever since I moved here, I have been searching for a place to get quality liver & gizzards– lo and behold — I found one.
Great service and great food.

Food was barely lukewarm, order was wrong, and when I asked for the correct item, the employee was rude. Usually love CE, but this place is terrible.

Visited this place in search of some good ol’ fried chicken since they seem to be popping up more frequently, and glad we did! The place was clean, the staff was friendly and efficient, and the food was terrific! Giant got the tenders combo and I got the two piece combo. My chicken was delicious! Juicy, tender and seasoned just perfectly. So yum! Plus, the fried okra was almost as good as my granny used to make in her cast iron skillet. Definitely a fan and will be back, since it’s so close to my house. Better renew my gym membership!

Good chicken but they’re not open when they should be. Door says they open at 10:30. It’s 10:37 and the door is locked. That doesn’t fly at my business but it does here.
I’m starving b/​c I didn’t have dinner last night and you’re not open when you should be. Frustrating!

Chicken was better this time… but the service is heinous! Not a single person handling the food is wearing food service gloves. Not sure why I’m back here… oh, one of the cooks DID bring us a plate of dinner rolls for having to wait so long. C’mon Chicken Express!!!

When I need my chicken tenders and gravy fix, this is the place. The location is clean and friendly.
Having been raised on DQ, there is one across the street but I prefer to stop here. My selection is usually the 4 price tenders, biscuit and green beans.
They have Texas Pete hot sauce, make sure you ask for some. I like to kick up my cream gravy with a little hot sauce.
Not sure about all the other reviewers, but I don’t find the chicken greasy.
Make sure to stop by and try it out. Great place.

I couldn’t even finish this food it was so greasy (Chicken fingers and fries with sweet tea).
There are other nearby options out there that are better like Raising Cane’s, Chilis or Chik-​fil-​A.
While this place is right around the corner from my house I’ll pass by it anytime after my experience eating there.
