This place. Is amazing. Consistent quality, the chicken is the best that I have ever had. The staff is fast and cares… imagine that.

Best location ever!!! Don’t change your excellence. Everyone is nice, food is better than Allen location for sure and delivery is top notch! Only one suggestion, make sure the lids are tight and separately bagged for beans. this location!!!

Classic example of good recipe but a bad cook. Maybe today was just an off day. I love Cowboy Chicken and visit many locations but today, in Frisco, I was very disappointed. My twice baked potatoes were burnt, my enchiladas were stuffed were overcooked, large chunks of chicken and a large piece of cartilage. I may try this location one more time but today I am sad. and hungry.

Good simple food! Everything is amazing. Every time I’ve been in there the employees are super nice. Have to try the twice baked potatoes… They are to die for

The foods fresh and served hot — every time! They have the best fried okra. And the corn fritters are crispy and delishhh!!! Just loved their hearty grilled chicken salad. — with cucumbers and cilantro! Not to mention– their chickens one of the best rotisserie chicken I’ve had… Well seasoned and again served hot and steamy. (Not really a fan of their cobblers though)

Food“s good I had the half chicken so plenty there. It’s juicy but not greasy. Good place for kids. They can make noise and no one will notice and they have room to move around a bit I really want to focus on the service. Good service is hard to find these days. I think it was Stephanie that took out order. When I asked if the twice baked potatoes had sour cream, she didn’t say I don’t know, or even just yes, but yes but you can’t taste it. She was right. So many times these days the order taker can’t even figure how to use the register. Here they are competent and seem to care too. It’s very refreshing

Pretty good chicken! Stopped by here for lunch and it is very decently priced, very flavorful chicken as compared to other rotisserie options. Great complement of sides, the chicken was very tender, juicy, not overly salty and I would definitely return!

I have been here several times, they are friendly and food is always fresh! I love the spinach and campfire veggies, I have been to other locations and had to send the chicken back for being dry. But this location is good! I do think the mashed potatoes are not very good. They need more cheese and things. But we’re hot and fresh. To each their own! All in all its good!

I recently moved to Texas and I tried this place and really liked it. I ate here at least 2 – 3 times a week and always ordered the same thing — ¼ white chicken. During my last visit the chicken was very dry. I talked to the manager on duty and he said«the white meat chicken is always dry, that’s why most people order dark meat chicken.» I explained that I always get the white meat and it is NOT always dry and he proceeded to argue with me and refused to exchange my meal. I haven’t been back and won’t go back — who wants dry chicken!

I was hungry and looking fo r something healthy. Stumbled in CC. The chicken was pretty good and reasonably priced. The sides were tasty. Overall good for a fast food place. Definitely RTE if I’m out and need a high protein fix.

I don’t know why people eat here. My boys each ordered the BBQ chicken sandwich – one of their favorite things at other restaurants – and neither one ate more than a couple of bites. The sauce was overwhelming, the chicken was dry and chewy, and the bun was also dry. Eventually they used a fork to pick at some chicken before just abandoning it and asking if they could eat a PBJ at home later. One son ate all his fries(which were pretty good) but nobody liked the twice-baked potatoes which were very, very«sour” – even though the boys love baked potatoes. Yes, my sweet potato was good, but no butter, just sugar/cinnamon. I had the grilled chicken which was dry and bland. At that point I was picking at my boys’ BBQ sandwiches just to get some flavor for my chicken. My roll was a stale dud. We eat out a lot and my boys are piggies. If they turn down a meal, there’s definitely something wrong. Anyway, YMMV. I hear the rotisserie chicken is good. That wouldn’t be worth the other weaknesses, probably.

Good Chicken for fast food! I also had the ranchero beans and the tomato cucumber salad and both were decent. I also wanted to try the black berry and the peach cobbler. They were both too sweet and doughy. Good service and a clean environment.

Suburban Hell. Hourly kids working here are bored. The mostly empty restaurant is bored. Hell even my BBQ chicken taste boring. This place comes off exactly what it is — a chain restaurant that nobody cares about just trying to sell uncaring suburbanites another chicken leg. Meh.

I do love Cowboy chicken. Always fresh, hot and juicy. The chicken is consistently good and a healthy easy dinner. They are always friendly over the phone, and my order is always waiting for me when I arrive to pick it up.

First visit was today. I was really impressed. For an inexpensive, quick service spot, I thought the food quality was really good. Chicken was super tender and moist. Loved the sides(super yummy tomato/cucumber salad).

The gentleman at the register was friendly. The chicken is dry and the twice baked potato is not a potato. It’s mashed. The okra is good and the roll is also dry and hard. I would go back for the okra and the friendly service but that’s it.

This is all opinion. Cowboy Chicken is an okay place to get some healthy chicken to eat. The sides need some real re-thinking by a chef if they are going to stay in business. Scores: –A — Chicken juicy not greasy. A minus because it is not really seasoned nor does it have any real smoked flavor. B — Sweet Potatoes very good, but don’t expect brown sugar butter mixed with it. You might get a tub of the dry sugar mix, but it is not worth it. C– Macaroni Cheese — pretty good as far as their other sides, but is rather mushy and not much flavor D-Twice cooked Potatoes — Well you have to cook potatoes once before you call it twice cooked. A mixture of hard potato pieces along with some mashed, mine was rancid and no it wasn’t the sour cream. D-peach cobbler — Most peach cobbler has the brown sugar crumbles as the 1/8″ in topping. Here it seems like the prime ingredient. Hardly any peaches and so much sugar it is nearly impossible to eat. F-black-eyed peas — This side was completely not edible. The sodium content was so high it tasted like a glass of water out of Utah’s salt lake. They tried to use bullion to season it but put so much in it was inedible. Now why are they using bullion when they have a lot of chickens laying around is beyond me.

Great food, friendly staff. I’ve been to several cowboy locations and and impressed each time. Some reviews bash the service and quality of food but I can’t for the life of me figure out this disconnect. Newer location so possible startup hiccups. Love The Cowboy! Prob gonna go tomorrow after thinking about it so much right now!

I’d say 4.5 out of five… nobody’s perfect. Chicken perfectly cooked. Black beans bursting with flavor and the sweet potato cooked to perfection. They focus on whole and quartered birds… would love to see pulled chicken offered per pound… but these guys know how to make a moist and flavorful chicken. You can’t go wrong. Looking forward to going back and checking out their other sides.
