Every dish is too sweet. Dishes that aren’t supposed to be sweet are still sweet. Dishes that are supposed to have a sweet-ish component taste sickly sweet. Dishes where you expect a certain flavor like Pad Thai don’t even resemble the dish. I have yet to order anything where I didn’t think to myself, «this is weird» or «this is what I ordered?». Given it too many chances, not ordering anything else to try.

I used to love Pei Wei, but the locations around here are all filthy including this one. They need to clean up their act — literally — just look at the restaurant scores. Very sad but I won’t be giving the Frisco location my business anymore for fear of getting sick! I don’t understand why they don’t do something about this, there are plenty of places that are tasty and maintain a safe and clean health rating.

I can’t believe I am having to write this for one of my favorite restaurants — Pei Wei Frisco. We are regulars and every time we order noodles with butter for my nine year old son. Tonight, was mommy — son date night. My wife took our 9 year old to his favorite restaurant for noodles with butter. The girl taking my wife’s order argued with her that they NEVER sell the noodles with butter. Seriously? We get that every time we go. And then, when she came to the table to drop off the food, my wife asked her if she could get my son a fork. She did and then proceeded to tell my wife the forks are«over there».

Tonight was the 2nd time for us to have uncooked chicken in one of our family’s orders. Last time it was Honey Seared Chicken, this time it was Pei Wei Spicy chicken. I complained to the girl who rang up our order. She said«ok» and kept on working. That was it. I have dined at the East Plano location numerous times for lunch(near where I work), and never once encountered uncooked chicken at that location.

Cleanliness has gone down a lot for this place. I don’t know if they have switched management or what. Had to clean off our table and wipe down myself. The guy who brought out our food said they were busy. There were only 3 other tables occupied. He didn’t even offer to clean the rest of the table or chairs when he saw me cleaning them. We will not come back to this one.

I only do checkout… I’ve tried several dishes but my old standby is the fried rice… You really can’t go wrong with it… I usually get the protein combo with brown rice.

Not a busy night for Pei Wei last night. Still, it took an unusually long time to get our food and the cleanliness was a disappointment, especially the flatware container of clean spoons nestling with ones still covered in food.

It’s…ok. I had somewhat higher expectations so I did really want to like it(one can assume I know a thing or two about chinese food). Nice décor and interior, clean and a nice open kitchen, unlike most other chinese places. Good menu with a choice of sauces, I tried the kung pao(a little saltier than I’d like), sesame chicken(ok, not bad but not the greatest) and thai dynamite(more salty than spicy). Overall this wasn’t necessarily a poor experience, and given the price you pay, it actually is above average compared to the local chinese take out available. Would I come back? At some point I would definitely try again. It isn’t a place that would stand out as a meal option however. Seems like they would cook the chicken the same way(nice chunks of white meat chicken or shrimp, coated, battered and fried) with a different sauce. Overall it was meh… not great but by no means horrible. In today’s age of culinary adventures, that isn’t such a bad thing.

We ordered Sesame chicken with fried rice, it was so salty we couldn’t eat it! The Frisco location is horrible!

It’s just ok… Their sister restaurant is PF Chang and I think the food there is just ok too. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and asked for it to be made spicy. I was very excited and looking forward to it because my sis and Bil raved about the food, but sadly I it underwhelming… A tip I’d give is order extra sauce on the side, adding more sauce did make it more flavorful

I had the pei wei spicy with steak/tofu and the steak/tofu were hard and the sauce tasted a little too salty. My husband ordered a wraps and he said it was good. The services are friendly and helpful.

Just wanted to make a quick update. We have continued to get great food and service from this location. Great staff, and hot fresh food

This is my favorite place to stop by for lunch when I am in between class. I’m vegetarian so I appreciate the veggies and tofu option although I wish there was more options for the vegetarian stir frys.

Service is beyond slow. I called ahead to get an order because I was running late and asked if I could get it quickly. My order took 20 minutes to complete — even when asked if it could be rushed. Food sitting on the warming tray for 10 minutes.

Just picked up an on-line order to take to a customer meeting. The Lettuce Wrap Chicken had a burned taste and smell. Could not be served. WHY would you send out a dish that was scorched or burned??? Learned my lesson. No more Pei Wei!

This location is a bit small for seating so, both takeout and sit down end up being an effort in patience. The kids meals are few, but rice in chicken nuggets seem to work for us every time. They added some new sushi options, I have not tried them, but guessing it will be one of those stick with what your good at situations. What I like about the food is it comes out hot! Not melt your mouth, but nice and temperature hot. Too many places plead to the masses and come out warm at best. Staff is mostly friendly, good mix of new and younger kids amongst grown experienced types.

Pretty good food here. I am not always a huge fan of Per Wei. They are not as good as their sibling. We have had some consistency issues here but lately the fried rice has been stepped up. I would not recommend the pad thai as it is not very authentic(to me anyway). We love the wonton soup as well.

Changed the menu again. Food was served hot, but lo mein completely flavorless and egg roll wasnt«crispy» or tasty(pork). Wonton soup was delicious but meal(with water) NOT worth $ 11+.

I absolutely LOVE me some Pei Wei… why so much love you ask? The Tofu is why… yep, you read that correctly — the Tofu. I am not a huge tofu lover generally, but the tofu here is something I truly crave(and often!). I always order the Coconut Curry with tofu & veggies and brown rice — I have never strayed. Again, weird, but the texture is like no other tofu I have ever tried and then add the coconut curry — you’ve got yourself something amazing! True Story. The Crab Wontons are also something I love, but if you read my reviews, you already know that I am crab wonton/goon lova! Husband likes the combo meals — he states its the right amount of food. It’s a good price too for the amount and variety you get! This location includes two fancy do-it yourself soda machines which I love, but they always seem to backed up with kids making crazy drinks. The tables are bussed as soon as the diner leaves, and I find the workers to be pretty friendly and helpful. 5+ stars for the Tofu, 4 for everything else :)

Appetizer: Chicken Lettuce Wraps Lunch Combo: Honey Seared Chicken with Won Ton Noodle Soup & Pei Wei Spicy Beef and Hot & Sour Soup Verdict: Appetizer and soups were the only food we’d come back and order. The lunch dishes itself were not that good. Were we wrong to combine them with brown rice and noodles? At any rate, the sauce used for the Pei Wei Spicy was too sweet and thick — not appetizing at all. We almost gave up eating it, but powered on through. The Honey chicken was not good combined with the noodles. I’d say that was my least favorite dish. On the other hand, the Chicken Lettuce Wraps were delicious and tastes exactly like it’s made in their fancier restaurant, P. F. Changs. Definitely a cheaper but equally delicious alternative for busy diners. The soups were surprising delicious. Between the two, the Won Ton soup stood out especially because of the fresh spinach, Thai basil, and green onions. Will definitely be back for the Chicken Lettuce Wraps, but will probably skip on the other meals. I’m also hoping I can order the Won Ton soup as an entrée the next time I stop in.
