Awesome! The food was great. Service was wonderful. Bryan went out of his way to make sure our experience was the best. He made suggestions on the different sauces to go with our sandwiches, and he even warmed up my brownie so it tasted fresh baked.

I love Firehouse but it took 13 minutes to get 2 sandwiches(one made incorrectly) and there wasn’t even a line. Worth the trip to go out of the way to go to the one on Preston.

This place is so inconsistent. I love their subs when they are made correctly and with fresh ingredients. However, there is a 50⁄50 chance you’ll end up with something a little less than what you hoped for. My favorite sandwich is the turkey bacon ranch. The last two times my husband has stopped to get our meal, they have completely left the pickle spears out. It is a total disappointment to open your sandwich wrappings only to find no pickle. :-(The lettuce has been yellow and nasty the last few times as well and I have had to pluck it off taking with it a good portion of the dressing. I just wish you could get what you order each time you order it.

Ordered the Capt. Sorensen’s Datil Pepper Grilled Chicken — don’t bother; keep the $ 6 and go someplace else and get something with flavor. This was like a boiled breast between two soggy pieces of bread; just awful. Hated it. I put Frank’s sauce on it to get it down. That’s what I get for giving them another try. Won’t be doing that again.

I had the round roast beef sandwich. While it was good quality meat and made to my request it just didn’t work. The bread did not hold up well at all. It all just fell apart. I will give them one mor try but it takes alot of effort to sell me on their subs when Jersey Mike’s is always around the corner.

Best grinders around. The Italian with Backdraft sauce is the best. Don’t let the 9 heat rating scare you away from it. Most of the other Firehouse places are changing it to 5 or 7.

I recommend the Italian on white personally with the usual standard fixings. Hands down its a 5 star quality compared to other Sandwich establishments I shall not mention(nor eat at). Teir service is efficient & friendly.

I did not like the chicken salad sandwich. When I asked to exchange it I felt they really didn’t want to. I find that to be poor customer service

Consistently good every time we’ve eaten here. Expensive for«just a sandwich place» but the soft bread, steamed meats, selection of sauces, and ‘multi-mixer’ Coke dispenser make it worthy. The«hero», brisket and cheddar, and steak and cheese are our favorites and they can make any sandwich into a salad if you’re watching your carbs. So glad a new location just opened closer to us in McKinney but will still hit this on on the way home from work sometimes!

Great service and good food. I ordered the Italian with Turkey instead of Ham. The Italian dressing was creamy and the steamed meat is different in a good way. The bread was really good as well. I would give it a 3 ½ but will round it up. The prices are a bit high though. In terms of fast sandwich food this would sit higher than Subway and Quiznos, I have not tried Jimmy Johns.

I’ve always been a fan of this Firehouse Subs location, but today they won me over as a customer for life. On my way to pick up lunch, I saw a homeless man holding a sign asking for food. He had a scraggly German Shepherd at his side. It just broke my heart. As I picked up my order, I asked the manager if they had any bread that he was needing to get rid of soon, so I could take it back to the man and his dog. Not only did he pack up 2 big loaves of fresh bread, but he included a bowl of hot chili and a cold bottled water, all free. Thanks to Firehouse’s generosity, the man is eating a hot lunch today. They really went above and beyond. Awesome stuff, Firehouse. See you again soon.

I’ve never had a sandwich here that I didn’t like! Thinly sliced wheat bread makes me not feel guilty :)

Food is decent(not better or worse than any chain sub place) but don’t bother deviating from the menu if you order online. Tonight was our 4th online order in a row that was not made as ordered. My requests(add pickles & lettuce to meatball sub) have been repeatedly ignored. We even asked prior to walking out the door if my sub was made as ordered and we were assured it was. We’ve mentioned this continued issue to the staff before and although apologetic, obviously nothing changes. Disappointing.

This was my second visit to the shop and I have only lived in this city for 1 month. «Ignacio how could I forget you» it is awesome when they remember you and make you feel like a person and not just another order. Many business forget this and the young man is on his A game. The Sandwich was made the way I asked. But watch out they have a hot sauce that is rated 10++ and it is no joke. After burning the hell out of my mouth… the associate was very apologetic… their was no need for him to be so. The friendly atmosphere of this location is what will help it keep going in the long run. Keep it up!
