Shredded Supplements

I am relatively new to working out and not even close to being considered a body builder. Sometimes, going to a place like this can be a bit overwhelming. That said, I felt totally comfortable shopping at Shredded. The place is clean and they have anything you need. I will be a regular customer.

I’ve been coming here once-​twice a month for over a year now and have several thoughts on the place. Andres (the guy who seems to run the store and has been here every time I come, prior to today) is really helpful and offers solid advice on various products when other brands they carry increase price and decrease volume thereby negating the possibility of continuing to use them. The quality customer service he provides is the only reason they’re not getting zero stars. I prefer to support local businesses instead of buying from discount stores like
or big chains like GNC. I’ve been moderately satisfied with the quality of the products that S.S.‘s carries but the diversity is very lacking. They only carry about 5 – 6 brands of protein, if that. 1 – 2 brands of BCAA’s (with even less size options). A few carb options, a small variety of pre-​workouts and thermogenics, and a handful of tee-​shirts and tanks. But this is the fifth (and last) time that I’ve made the 50 min round trip here from Addison only to go home with nothing. Twice because they closed early and three other times b/​c they had no freaking product!!! What kind of supplement store doesn’t carry any supplements?! The new guy behind the counter said it was b/​c they had some quota to meet before they could get more inventory and they wouldn’t have what I wanted for another week. Sooo I’m supposed to wait a week with no supps and then drive another hour and pay more tolls b/​c you can’t afford to keep your shelves stocked? Great way to do business guys. What a joke. I would not recommend this place unless you live around the corner and can stop by at your convenience or if you call ahead to make sure they have what you need. But why should I have to call and make sure my supplement store paid their bills? Funny coincidence, as I sit in the parking lot and write this review at 7:30pm two potential customers walk up to the door, and it’s closed (supposed to be open until 8).
